@@GreenerGrass I would suggest Los Angeles to Las Vegas. The advantage Las Vegas as a destination is that you don't need to rent a car once you arrive.

As a disabled person in chronic pain travel is extremely hard on me. Those seats would make a massive difference in my comfort level. This bus is an excellent idea.
For me, if the road travel distance is 4.5 hours or less, it's easier and more efficient than taking a flight. The airline check-in, security times and walks to the gate, waiting at baggage claim, and flight time easily exceeds 4.5 hours. Disabled or not disabled, this trip appears more relaxing, less stressful and certainly more comfortable than any flight between these two cities. The $99 cost is almost unbelievable! I think this might be the way to travel for distances that are 5-6 hour drives! I'd probably pay more to go this way over purchasing a commercial flight. Marketing/Advertising is going to be the key to making this successful. Attract a couple of frequent flyers from a handful of companies, and get their in-house or corporate travel agents to make this a priority option. There's been decades of talk in the Georgia legislature to put a high-speed rail between Atlanta and Savannah, but this "bus" could easily become the preferred travel method between ATL-SAV.
@@B_Bodziak It’ll be like $170 on weekends but $99 - $110 on weekdays. I agree with your comment. Flying is a waste of time to a place that close. By the time you check in get to airport and etc you are past 4.5 hrs. Takes 45 min just to get to an airport.
@@B_Bodziakbuddy if by vehicle it’s 4-5 hours, just invest in trains. This bus can only hold 14 people. An amtrak Acela can move 250+ people and save you 1-2 hours because you don’t have to worry about traffic. You also get more space than an airplane, and more space than with what’s shown with this bus. And it’s not that expensive, from NYC to Boston for example tickets can go as low as 50 bucks for reference. Just support trains it will make everyone’s life easier.
The CEO coming aboard is already a selling point for me, I always appreciate seeing the raw passion people have for what they started and I will back that 100%. If I ever wanted to take this trip, believe I’d be taking this bus.
If that's a new company with a handful of busses it's kind of funny to even call yourself CEO... It's a guy that started a business and as that he obviously has the time and hopefully the passion to do that. He isn't the CEO of American Airlines just casually helping people board a plane.
As a DC native, Flying into NYC was always a pain. By the time you deal with the airports i cost, security, etc, you can hop a bus or train and be into midtown in about the same amount of time. I wish there was a luxury bus like this when I was in DC.
Why? The train is categorically better. Smoother ride, cheaper tickets, and gets you there faster. DC-NY is the worst corridor in the country to build a product like this because the alternatives already exist and are fantastic.

You forget that this bus is 14 passengers max... that's worth something these days vs crowded train terminals and passenger rail cars.
About 35 years ago I travelled 550 miles from Germany to London, UK on a coach. We were packed in like sardines on seats that were uncomfortable after 50 miles. I said NEVER again. I have stuck to that decision, and in all those years this is the first coach that could possibly change my mind. An enjoyable review. Thank you very much.
I travelled from Ormskirk, Lancashire, U.K to Lloret Del Mar on the Coach. It was hell on earth. 26 hour journey, on a football social. Urine was poured into the coach drinking fountains, and at the end of the journey, it was squirting out.
I feel your pain. My first long distance bus trip in North America was 1,642 KM, each way. It was a fully packed Greyhound with broken AC and my seat right next to the bathroom. It was a miserable trip. I refuse to ever take a Greyhound again. I've taken buses in Taiwan numerous times. Their luxury bus line offers large, reclining chairs, personal TVs, power adapters and a decent bathroom. I believe the price for a 4 hour bus ride was about $20-$25 USD. However, it's been many years since I've taken that bus, so the price could be more.
I’m actually “sold” by this review. I’ve experienced several horrifying journeys with Acela and United Airlines between Washington and New York during the winter season. Never in my life would I imagine taking a bus, but somehow you’ve managed to open my mind to this experience. I’m completely awestruck.
It kind of make sense. A buss have the lowest vehicle square meter cost, so they could afford the nicest seat. And for trips shorter than say 5 hours, just getting on and of a plane eats up most of that time... and well, railways are not getting better, or cheaper. Probably just a matter of time before they use megabusses
Are buses that bad in the US? Here in Mexico for regional and local travel we always use buses instead of planes and there are a lot of options from premium to very cheap and the best ones are even better than this one in my opinion with bathrooms, coffee station, personal screens like in planes and comfortable sitting, the cheaper ones and specially the ones that go to small towns can be very bad tho.
$99 seems like a bargain when you account for there being only 14 passengers aboard, the great service of the attendant, the comfort, and what I would call excellent amenities for a bus. I wish them good luck in expanding their business
Makes you wonder how much profit is made when driver/attendant/gas/future repairs goes into account. Not to mention ROI for all the retro fitting of that bus.

As a 25 year veteran of the airline industry I must say I'm rather impressed with this service. With the hassle factor involved with getting into and out of airports these days, not to mention the weather related delays, this is a no brainer.
The real competitor to this is Amtrak . Which is much less likely to have delays and even in second class is fairly comfortable . Still I hope they do well, always good to have another option.
Great to see a bus with solo seats like this! After I saw the CEO climb on board, I knew the experience would be 10/10. This is clearly designed to appeal to those business travelers who want to avoid an alternative means of public transport and the stress that often accompanies it. I can also imagine this being a better means of travel for couples. This bus interior and exterior look great, too - kudos to the Jet Team.
It seems a great alternative for trains for short range trips in those places where the state don't provide them, I hate to take the airplane and the stress that it comes from the boarding process. A train would be obviously better because is faster and more reliable but when is not available, the bus is way better than a plane and this is a great option at a similar price as first class fast trains
@@lorenzo8755 definitely! About 6 years ago I took a trip down to DC with my girlfriend at the time. The cheapest option was for us to drive from Manhattan area (well Hoboken, NJ) down to Baltimore, MD and then take the train from there to DC. Parking in Baltimore for three days, the gas there and back and the train tickets easily cost us about $200 each. This would have been awesome to take back then!
If time isnt important, I would always take a train or a bus like Jet....I love to ride and just take in the scenery, all kinds of scenery! Thanks for the tour!!
Trains are pretty fun . Last time I was on one someone put something on the tracks to try to derail it and it knocked out the brakes and power. None of us knew until much later and a few states later when we were Putin a different one .
@@barrontrump9917 Highways would be the same way if not for the trillions spent over the years on them. The high speed traffic jammed roads are fenced. No cost is spared when it comes to roads. Or airports. Trains are on budgets that keeps fares up and demand down. This is too long a trip for a bus.
Time is always important, but it’s really about how you spend it. If you have to get somewhere quick, yeah a cheap ticket (or a very expensive one) on a plane will do, but the way he described this bus ride, it’s worth my time to set up my travel between New York and Washington. I rather get somewhere whether for fun or important on this bus, than deal with a plane, period. That’s how I would spend my time, and my time left on this earth is important to me so if I can make some of that comfortable I will 😂
Amazing! This is how bus service ought to be: clean, comfortable, & not super-crowded like some other carriers out there that squeeze 50+ passengers into seats that are uncomfortable. If they had this bus leaving from Philly to one of our nearby cities, I'd go for it.

@@Fallout3ProHunter Or maybe just not expanded here yet. The Chinese buses of the 1990s/2000s ran only between NYC & Boston or DC initially, then added Philly later. Also PhillyNYC is only 2 hours, so maybe not long enough to have the demand for the 'luxury' bus line.
It's always great to offer people different options, based on their preferences and needs. But right now, among all modes of travel, it's those buses that cram 50 passengers into seats, that are the most carbon-friendly to a planet that's in catastrophic condition right now. More travel should, even on these luxury coaches like JET, and other coaches like greyhound, flix, peter pan etc. More travel in these modes, should be encouraged and rewarded.

I’m a professional motorcoach operator in the NYC Metro area and drive a Prevost. The bus conversion gets an A+. I wish the unit I drive had those seats! The amenity most requested at my bus is WIFi and we do provide it but it’s nowhere near the speeds of the Jet. This is a great job for a driver who loves greeting passengers with a smile and besides being a truly accomplished operator, takes pride in customer service. I wish the CEO and all the employees, success and may the company grow and set a high standard for others to learn from. Happy and prosperous 2022!
As someone who lives in the UK I just can't understand taking a plane instead of a 4 hour bus journey. This bus looks ace and if I had to travel for business it is something I would definitely do.
Public Transit over here is way better though to be fair, but I agree all the same, I'd be grabbing a Train or Coach from say, Manchester to London, if being the passenger in someone's car isn't an option.

Some of the Japanese travel UA-camrs (such as Kuga's Travel) have reviews of some of these buses on their channels. They seem to take a very different approach to the "luxury bus" there, but it's interesting to see the contrast.
This is amazing actually. I'd definitely pay $99 easy to go point to point on this bus. More comfy than a plane, and the Ubers to and from the airport alone will cost you more. It's a no-brainer. I hope they expand to more routes.
Anyone else questioning the business model. I just don't see this business model holding up at that price. Are they going also be subsidizing transporting of materials. 14 X 107 = 1498 per trip. Fuel, Tolls, Two staff, vehicle cost, insurance and maintenance.
A flight to DCA to Newark or LaGuardia still requires you to take an Uber or train into Manhattan. And door to door while flying is easily 3 hours minimum. I've taken Acela, which is fine if it's for business, but expensive for personal use. This is a nice alternative.
I used to live in NYC and I frequently traveled to D.C. when I lived there. I think this Bus company might take over because alot of the Buses that go down there in my experience have been uncomfortable, the busses are older than me, cramped and always breaking down. The Jet is going to go so far.
$99 is incredibly affordable for such a stress free and comfy journey. I would pay that in a heartbeat. I wish we had something like this in the UK. Our coaches are cheap and plentiful, but passengers are crammed in like sardines if it is fully booked.

A similar distance would be London to York. I could go on the train tomorrow in under two hours for £40-60. Not sure why anyone would choose a bus at twice the price
Planes offer less "in transit" time, but, in my experience, the time you wait getting through security and taxi-ing on the runway winds up being about the same amount of travel time. Also, air travel means you'll most likely need to take a train or bus anyway to get where you are actually going in New York (or pay premium cab fare and sit in traffic for an hour). I prefer trains and driving myself to New York (train if I'm staying in Mahattan, driving if I'm staying in Brooklyn)--but for future vacations in NYC or DC, the Jet may be a game changer.
I just took a trip from Manhattan to Fort Lauderdale, FL back in November. The flight was only $70 each way, and the flight itself was only 2.5 hours but everything else added at least an hour or two to that time. It would either take about an hour and two modes of transportation to get to Newark Airport or a $70 Lyft ride, I chose the latter because it was like 7 am. Getting back was a nightmare: we actually arrived early but the airport (Newark) didn't have space for us yet so we circled around for 20-30 minutes. Tower said the pilot could land, but once landed he found out there was no space at the gate for us...so we sat on the tarmac for about 45 minutes. It then took me about 20 minutes to get my bag from the luggage claim. The rest wasn't the fault of the airline, but it took me about another two or so hours to get from Newark to the Financial District in Manhattan because first no one from Lyft wanted to pick me up, so after 20 minutes I downloaded Uber, and that driver came 15 minutes later, then they had closed the Holland tunnel...on a Friday night. It literally took me longer to get from Newark to my apartment than it did to get from Fort Lauderdale to Newark! It also cost more, that ride cost me $130 because dude originally went to Hoboken, found out the tunnel was closed, then had to go up to Weehawken, and then sit in traffic for about 20 minutes. Our plane landed at about 9 PM, I never go home until like 1 AM...and I was about 20 miles from my apartment.
Train is def the best mode of travel between DC & NYC over air travel & bus. You’d be wasting your money on a JET. Great Idea but the price isn’t worth it.
There are people that have dun race comparison by train and flight. They started at the same spot and go to the stations and buy tickets there to see who is first. And flight newer wins.
I like how they stagger the one/two seats so a single rider doesn't have to look across two people to view the opposite window and vise versa. plus it opens the walking path to the restroom/bar .

The CEO of this company absolutely has his stuff together. I'm very impressed with not only his active role in the "nuts and bolts" part of the business but his attention to what customers want and expect. Too often I've paid extra for service that was lacking in so many areas; this is clearly not the case with this one. Though I live in California, if I'm in the area (which I frequently am), I will certainly give this a try!
The floating seat technology is pretty standard in semi trucks, but applying it to passenger seats in public transportation is genius. It's hard to compete with the train for a fixed route like this, but I will consider the Jet for my next trip up to NYC. Thank you for sharing!
The problem with the plane from DC to NY is once you factor in the airport time it may actually be the longest option. I think this is the longest I could travel by bus.

Seems like a solid option tbh. Even if the flight is only an hour an a half you need to get to the airport an hour beforehand and then there's the hassle of getting off the plane, getting bags and usually a long cab ride. This seems like more comfort and more practicality.
I never would have considered a bus to travel to DC! Normally I would just book a flight, but this bus looks like an adventure and I love all the space you get! I think it's awesome that you're showcasing a startup company and giving it so much publicity. I'm sure many of us have never thought to travel long distances by bus!

Acela is the ultimate way to travel between DC and NYC. Picks up and drops off right in the middle of both cities. Takes about 4 hours total. No security means you can show up basically right before the train departs. No worries about traffic. Delays are very rare. All seats are extremely comfortable and spacious. Extremely easy to get work done or just relax for the entirety of the ride. I would say normal trains next, then flying, then bus, then driving on your own.
I would definitely try this bus for the DC - NYC route just for the experience. Business class on Amtrak is still my go to. Props to the entrepreneur for giving this a go!
I hope that The Jet adds some West Coast routes to its itinerary as it grows! This would be amazing on the Los Angeles-San Francisco or LA-San Diego routes. I want to try that seat!
@@sew_overthis lol by far the easiest way is to fly. One hour instead of five. I have flown the route many times on Southwest, wouldn't do it any other way. (the stupid CAHSR -- not that it will ever be built, since they wasted all their funding buying up private land instead of going down the median of I-5 -- would take 4+ hours.)
Back in 2002 when I lived in DC, I used Peter Pan Lines bus from DC to New York for about $35 for the "high class" ticket. The Greyhound lines also was available for around $18, both one way. The Peter Pan Lines buses were really nice, but with cloth seats.
the way those seats were hovering really must have made the ride amazing.... and so much of room and the placements of the seats really provide with the required privacy. it is really a comfort shell.
I just booked a trip on the jet after seeing this. Bus travel has its ups and downs, especially on I-95, but this looks incredible. Looking forward to it :)

I've taken the Mega Bus from NYC to DC twice. The Jet here looks like a treat. The biggest problem with any road based transportation is the traffic and delays. I do feel sorry for those people on the Mega that looked disabled. For myself it's much easier and less of a hassle to go to Penn station and take either the North East Corridor train or the Acela. The Jet though would be a treat to try.
@@lovedfriend2020 Went out of business due to COVID-19 actually. They just cut back their services because it couldn’t support those routes. Same thing that Greyhound started doing.
@@banksrail their prices jumped though so doubt they’ll last that much longer. People only liked Megabus because it was dirt cheap. DC to NYC was normally $10-$15, sometimes cheaper. Now the cheapest ticket is $25.
Very nice, the only thing I would recommend would be some type of separation between passengers. Perhaps some seat-high rounded walls, so you don’t see others directly when you’re seated. It would give it that upscale 1st class jetliner feel.
Yeah, who needs to see around themseves and through the big windows, when we can divide them like partitions like they are in offices in the 90's. That was a great time for introverts.
As someone who regularly has to use buses here in Ireland for similar 4-hour journeys, I'm jealous! The scheduled 3.5 hour cross-country service here usually takes about 5 hours (catching tourists out); its not uncommon for buses to be cancelled without warning, leaving a two-hour wait for the next one, and the buses are usually tired, worn, dirty, and all the curtains were removed years ago to cut costs on cleaning, so you'll have the sun in your face always. This looks so much better!
Same on this superpriced DC to NYC black bus. You can be traveling summertime midday and the Sun will be ruthessley beating down on you for 4 hours. No, thanks.

As the manager of a coach company in UK, I am really intrigued by this. UK has gone for very much the Megabus/ National Express 'cattle class' buses and the fares reflect that. I have long argued there is an argument for a premium service here; maybe I shall take this video to the Board of Directors and suggest we look at how our American colleagues operate this. (I might even get our Directors to pay for a 'holiday' to New York to try it myself). Excellent series of videos, Mr Brooks, Sir. The Cali-Zephyr and another rail video that I can't find at the moment- they are really good and inspiring for a future trip to travel around USA.
It could also be competitive as rail prices in the UK are utter madness. Try getting a ticket from London Euston to Birmingham New Street in first/standard premium class for a decent price. God forbid you want to travel to the north of England from the capital. I would be happy to pay a premium but it depends on the execution of the service as well as the amount of seating.
In America coaches aren’t as constrained by speed limits as in Europe so they can match train journey times. Not the case in britain where coach travel is best done cheaply.
They've done a great job of thinking about everything, from the hover seats and bathroom, to the handrails. Just adds to the overall comfort. It's great they've spent a high initial investment, but will probably earn that back in satisfied customers coming back and attracting new ones with the really reasonable price.
Excellent video, Jeb. Retired airline guy here. I've always despised buses but this one really does make me change my tune. We have lived in NoVa 26 years and all the family are back in NYC. Driving can be a horror.
Finally, the US is catching up with technologies and the conveniences other countries had already enjoyed for decades. More than 20 years ago I was so surprised to travel in a luxurious bus (like this one) with food and drinks (wine optional) served by a hostess while traveling through some places in central Mexico, individual television screens and optional privacy with well-appointed curtains were a great advantage since some of the trips were for more than 4 hours (nice to be able to travel comfortably flat on your back). I even traveled in one that was two stories and had an incredible view of the breathtaking mountains that we traversed. But, best of all, only a few hundred pesos per trip, which translated into only a few dollars for me (the cost of a taxi ride in NYC any day). I am very happy to be able to travel our country with the comfort and convenience that other countries have already enjoyed for decades. Thank you for sharing the good news. Cheers

They too are a large country with cities that are far apart. It's only different down there because they are still basically a 3rd world country with a big drug war going on. Most of those buses get business mainly because the typical citizen of Mexico cannot afford a plane trip. If they were a G7 country like us, very few of those buses would still run. I certainly hope that one day they will be a G7 country. Anyway as the video uploader explained, those shock absorbing seats are unique to that company. The Mexican buses don't have those seats. :) And Greyhound is pretty good too. :)

@@DennisBunnikTravels have thought about it a bit and possibly there could be some scope for a luxury 1.5-3 hr airport transfer service particularly where the train competition isn’t great - Newcastle-Sydney, or Geelong-Tullamarine come to mind.
I'm impressed. I've done DC to NY via competitor Vamoose, both regular blue service and high end gold service. I typically pay for Gold service. The Jet appears to be extraordinary. I-95 is probably the worst up by Newark where the bumps are thrilling if you have a camera and want to take photos. I like the idea of motion canceling seats. The bathroom looks great! On a non-Jet bus, using the bathroom is an adventure. On bus vs train vs plane, for the times I've gone to the city, the bus works just fine. Yes there can be traffic issues, but mostly I've not encountered anything bad. All the best to The Jet! They've got my attention.
There’s a luxury bus service also similar like a The Jet here in Texas. They’re called Vonlane. I took them from Houston to Dallas in December of 2019. Excellent service!
Having taken megabus numerous times on that route, I ve always found it just fine. Good wifi, relatively on- time, and the busses were comfortable, especially on the top deck. Plus, the faresI paid were less then the tolls if I drove. Busses were fairly empty, too.
I used to take mega bus to travel from chicago to other citys but the pandemic hit them hard, last I checked you could only go to Minneapolis and St. Paul from chicago
No TSA. No old and dirty train. I would take this bus every single time. I hope they do well and expand service. I think there's a definite niche for this type of service.
Old and dirty? The Northeast Corridor’s infrastructure may look deplorable but the Acela’s are fast and fairly modern. Avelia Liberty sets are scheduled to be delivered this year as well.

Looks like a vast improvement over cattle class on a plane and the time for the trip is likely not much different when you factor in all of the non-flight time for airlines.
I've never really felt that flying between DC and NYC was worth it anyway. Especially because getting to and from the airport in NYC can be a hassle and take lots of time (or money if you get a cab).
Being based in Baltimore, I've done the NYC trip numerous times - either driving or taking the train. The Jet makes me consider their option. With the drive time to the airport, time to check-in, security, etc and then travel into the city from EWR, JFK or LGA, I can't imagine that the hassle from DC/Baltimore is worth it. Your video tempts me to train down to DC just to catch The Jet to NYC! And BTW, did you ever put the camera down the entire drive up? Great footage the whole way!
I live in NYC and have driven to/from Baltimore/DC at least 20 times. Why anyone flies this is beyond me (unless they're getting on/coming from a connecting flight). Downtown to downtown train is faster and cheaper than flying, and door to door when you're not going to or coming from the heart of the city, driving is faster and cheaper. I'd only ever fly to DC from NYC if I lived near LGA - it's a small airport and you get to the gate quickly.

The United States are so behind the times when it comes to transportation. Mexico already has several “first class” bus services and the prices are very reasonable. It is nice to see that someone the U.S. is finally starting to come up with a more comfortable and updated system.
Yep, I'm from Mexico City, and was checking just for comparison... I remembered ADO Platino... And, for @ATF, all intercity bus lines here in Mexico are privately owned. Once, for work reasons, I spoke to the Omnibus de México office manager on the Autobuses del Norte terminal, and he clearly stated that their direct competition were not the other bus lines, but airlines.

The JET should set up shop in Florida! Getting routes between Tampa to Orlando, Then connections to Tallahassee, Miami, Key West, Jacksonville, and other cities would be SWEET if the service is as good as this video shows. For a 200 Dollar round trip, with comfort, good wi fi, and the promise of better food options, not to mention the speed of getting from one place to another? The JET would do well in our state!
I live in Canada, and to send my daughters to Regina SK to Brandon, MB on Greyhound was about the same as what the rider would pay on this JET bus. The $100 for a 4 hour trip is very reasonable!
@warrenrose68 Well, considering that was 5 years ago now and was on a greyhound bus for a 3 hour trip...I don't think the currency conversion would make up much of a difference.
Looks like an awesome way to travel. All the luxury of a first class seat without the depressurization afterwards, which I find, even as a pilot myself, always makes me feel groggy after a few hours at altitude in a pressurized plane. Sounds lovely. Also being a watch nerd I have to say nice Grand Seiko!
I tried Grey Hound out of Padecu, man I was shocked at the leather seats, LCD TV. Ride was great. 4 hours is not bad for Washington to New York, with a bar and nice seats like that, plus not having to push and crawl your way to a seat. That bus is well worth it.
This is awesome! I drive a bus, and I can tell this company took alot of care in preparation of enhancing the customer experience. Would love to give this a try for sure.

I drive the DC/NY route 4 to 5 times every year for the last 20 years or so for various reasons. Last February 2020, before covid hit all of us, we took a Vamoose bus to NY and I was impressed. Will definitely try this new bus service.
I want to see how long they can keep those buses maintained because everything is nice when new but once the wear and tear comes along is when we truly see how good the CEO and his company is. Those seats look like a maintenance nightmare
@Chill Will No-one said anything of the sort. But I think this particular threads' OP have an unfounded fear of wear on the buses. They're built on a Volvo chassis, one of the most tried and tested in the world. The interior looked robust, and I think the price is competitive. The Amtrak first class ticket is $30 more, and further down in the thread someone say it isn't even that good. My objection would rather be: A full size bus, and two personnel, for only fourteen passengers? But it's still way better than fourteen cars, with only one person in them, going the same way. And in COVID-times it's better with fifteen other people, than a full bus or train.

Kudos to the CEO and the company for starting off great in this video. I hope they success in this idea, which personally I like as there are no luxury "trains" in the US. Interesting idea in regards to the chair spring isolation system. However, I think its in a long way to make it truly into a first class Bus in my opinion, especially when comparing some stuff that Mercedes-Benz Premium and Business Bus offer or/and plan to offer. Personally, what I would recommend as an engineer is to do the following: -Make it double decker: is very convenient as they can add lounges, bars, and more amenities with better quality services. Imagine having the top area a lounge area, with a nice bar, and a panoramic ceiling so you could enjoy your view, while you can sleep in your chair the lower area. Or the top area is your, kitchen. Either way, its a great uses of space.
I am just wondering how much the height of the bus will change and how that will effect manoeuvrability and stability because it is a coach and coaches can be quite tall even if they are only a single decker bus also if it was to become a double decker coach I think it would be best to have the seats on the top floor and have a lounge/Cafe on the bottom floor

This is a phenomenal mode of travel outside of an RV motor home, coach on a bus air ride chassis. Maybe another company may create that. True charter land yachting at it's best. Thanks for sharing. Very nice leisure travel alternative!

I’m watching this video cuz i spotted The Jet a few days ago in DC. I have to say that this is a very good contender. Since we’re strapped for time we make use of the time we have that we have given, in this case, purchased for. If I can travel comfortably and with ample amount of room to be able to work and stretch out, then I’m on board.
Hi Jeb, I took a bus New York - Washington D.C. - New York, back in Sept 2019 during my stay in US. While checking among all possible means of transport I opted for Greyhound connection. It was not the cheapest but with the most suitable schedule (plenty of buses a day) and as well the travel time (non-stop service) was pretty convenient.
Getting the scenery while also enjoying the comfort of this seat is for me as a tourist very attractive. Thank you for the review. I will consider it for future travel.
I was done with bus transportation in general after a bad experience in the early 2000's, but this seems pretty amazing. I love the low number of passengers on the bus, the seat review and the available restroom. Good review.
Yep , you see lots. I used to drive National Express coaches here in the UK in my 20`s. I later joined the ambulance service and did paramedic training and went on to save lives, but, for me , looking back my proudest time for me was driving a large coach full of people which trumped my ambulance time strangely.
I wanted to start a company like this years ago. My buses would have larger more comfortable seating and a privacy curtain or sliding door for each seat. As you said, traffic, construction and delays will always be the problem…
For flight purposes this is amazing. Amtrak has gotten worse with less travel options and so have Megabus this is an amazing alternative! You can get work done or rest while getting to your destination.
I would totally try this just for the experience otherwise flying is just so much easier for me. The cabin looks amazing and looks like it would be the best affordable road travel experience out there

This is most likely not going to happen "all over" America. America is just too sparsely populated for this to happen. The most likely countries to have this happen all over is probably India since China has two deserts. Japan could have this all over and the do have long distance sleeper buses. However, Japan's land size is only comparable to California.

I’m impressed on the timing ⏱ the comfort, the views, the decor of the bus, and the price! For $100 bucks you can’t beat it! Flying is tricky and messy, driving is a nightmare and your exhausted, here you can sleep 💤 power your devices and sit in a seat built for a king! No I haven’t been in this bus or the ride! But I can bet you this, my trip to Washington DC with my family will be on this bus! Fast and convenient, with a less load of people which will make my wife very very happy, and my 5 year old, who is extremely quiet and loves to nap like his papa! I’m saving this option in my note pad right now!

As a disabled person in chronic pain travel is extremely hard on me. Those seats would make a massive difference in my comfort level. This bus is an excellent idea.
For me, if the road travel distance is 4.5 hours or less, it's easier and more efficient than taking a flight. The airline check-in, security times and walks to the gate, waiting at baggage claim, and flight time easily exceeds 4.5 hours. Disabled or not disabled, this trip appears more relaxing, less stressful and certainly more comfortable than any flight between these two cities. The $99 cost is almost unbelievable! I think this might be the way to travel for distances that are 5-6 hour drives! I'd probably pay more to go this way over purchasing a commercial flight. Marketing/Advertising is going to be the key to making this successful. Attract a couple of frequent flyers from a handful of companies, and get their in-house or corporate travel agents to make this a priority option. There's been decades of talk in the Georgia legislature to put a high-speed rail between Atlanta and Savannah, but this "bus" could easily become the preferred travel method between ATL-SAV.

It’ll be like $170 on weekends but $99 - $110 on weekdays. I agree with your comment. Flying is a waste of time to a place that close. By the time you check in get to airport and etc you are past 4.5 hrs. Takes 45 min just to get to an airport.
@@B_Bodziakbuddy if by vehicle it’s 4-5 hours, just invest in trains. This bus can only hold 14 people. An amtrak Acela can move 250+ people and save you 1-2 hours because you don’t have to worry about traffic. You also get more space than an airplane, and more space than with what’s shown with this bus. And it’s not that expensive, from NYC to Boston for example tickets can go as low as 50 bucks for reference.
Just support trains it will make everyone’s life easier.
The CEO coming aboard is already a selling point for me, I always appreciate seeing the raw passion people have for what they started and I will back that 100%. If I ever wanted to take this trip, believe I’d be taking this bus.
If that's a new company with a handful of busses it's kind of funny to even call yourself CEO... It's a guy that started a business and as that he obviously has the time and hopefully the passion to do that. He isn't the CEO of American Airlines just casually helping people board a plane.

As a DC native, Flying into NYC was always a pain. By the time you deal with the airports i cost, security, etc, you can hop a bus or train and be into midtown in about the same amount of time. I wish there was a luxury bus like this when I was in DC.
Why? The train is categorically better. Smoother ride, cheaper tickets, and gets you there faster. DC-NY is the worst corridor in the country to build a product like this because the alternatives already exist and are fantastic.

About 35 years ago I travelled 550 miles from Germany to London, UK on a coach. We were packed in like sardines on seats that were uncomfortable after 50 miles. I said NEVER again. I have stuck to that decision, and in all those years this is the first coach that could possibly change my mind. An enjoyable review. Thank you very much.
I travelled from Ormskirk, Lancashire, U.K to Lloret Del Mar on the Coach. It was hell on earth. 26 hour journey, on a football social. Urine was poured into the coach drinking fountains, and at the end of the journey, it was squirting out.

I feel your pain. My first long distance bus trip in North America was 1,642 KM, each way. It was a fully packed Greyhound with broken AC and my seat right next to the bathroom. It was a miserable trip. I refuse to ever take a Greyhound again.
I've taken buses in Taiwan numerous times. Their luxury bus line offers large, reclining chairs, personal TVs, power adapters and a decent bathroom. I believe the price for a 4 hour bus ride was about $20-$25 USD. However, it's been many years since I've taken that bus, so the price could be more.

I’m actually “sold” by this review. I’ve experienced several horrifying journeys with Acela and United Airlines between Washington and New York during the winter season. Never in my life would I imagine taking a bus, but somehow you’ve managed to open my mind to this experience. I’m completely awestruck.
It kind of make sense. A buss have the lowest vehicle square meter cost, so they could afford the nicest seat.
And for trips shorter than say 5 hours, just getting on and of a plane eats up most of that time... and well, railways are not getting better, or cheaper.

Are buses that bad in the US? Here in Mexico for regional and local travel we always use buses instead of planes and there are a lot of options from premium to very cheap and the best ones are even better than this one in my opinion with bathrooms, coffee station, personal screens like in planes and comfortable sitting, the cheaper ones and specially the ones that go to small towns can be very bad tho.
$99 seems like a bargain when you account for there being only 14 passengers aboard, the great service of the attendant, the comfort, and what I would call excellent amenities for a bus. I wish them good luck in expanding their business

As a 25 year veteran of the airline industry I must say I'm rather impressed with this service. With the hassle factor involved with getting into and out of airports these days, not to mention the weather related delays, this is a no brainer.

The real competitor to this is Amtrak . Which is much less likely to have delays and even in second class is fairly comfortable . Still I hope they do well, always good to have another option.

Great to see a bus with solo seats like this! After I saw the CEO climb on board, I knew the experience would be 10/10. This is clearly designed to appeal to those business travelers who want to avoid an alternative means of public transport and the stress that often accompanies it. I can also imagine this being a better means of travel for couples. This bus interior and exterior look great, too - kudos to the Jet Team.
It seems a great alternative for trains for short range trips in those places where the state don't provide them, I hate to take the airplane and the stress that it comes from the boarding process. A train would be obviously better because is faster and more reliable but when is not available, the bus is way better than a plane and this is a great option at a similar price as first class fast trains
@@lorenzo8755 definitely! About 6 years ago I took a trip down to DC with my girlfriend at the time. The cheapest option was for us to drive from Manhattan area (well Hoboken, NJ) down to Baltimore, MD and then take the train from there to DC. Parking in Baltimore for three days, the gas there and back and the train tickets easily cost us about $200 each. This would have been awesome to take back then!

The train takes 25% less time to get there.
Trains are pretty fun . Last time I was on one someone put something on the tracks to try to derail it and it knocked out the brakes and power. None of us knew until much later and a few states later when we were Putin a different one .
@@barrontrump9917 Highways would be the same way if not for the trillions spent over the years on them. The high speed traffic jammed roads are fenced. No cost is spared when it comes to roads. Or airports. Trains are on budgets that keeps fares up and demand down. This is too long a trip for a bus.
Time is always important, but it’s really about how you spend it.
If you have to get somewhere quick, yeah a cheap ticket (or a very expensive one) on a plane will do, but the way he described this bus ride, it’s worth my time to set up my travel between New York and Washington.
I rather get somewhere whether for fun or important on this bus, than deal with a plane, period. That’s how I would spend my time, and my time left on this earth is important to me so if I can make some of that comfortable I will 😂

Amazing! This is how bus service ought to be: clean, comfortable, & not super-crowded like some other carriers out there that squeeze 50+ passengers into seats that are uncomfortable. If they had this bus leaving from Philly to one of our nearby cities, I'd go for it.

@@Fallout3ProHunter Or maybe just not expanded here yet. The Chinese buses of the 1990s/2000s ran only between NYC & Boston or DC initially, then added Philly later. Also PhillyNYC is only 2 hours, so maybe not long enough to have the demand for the 'luxury' bus line.
It's always great to offer people different options, based on their preferences and needs. But right now, among all modes of travel, it's those buses that cram 50 passengers into seats, that are the most carbon-friendly to a planet that's in catastrophic condition right now. More travel should, even on these luxury coaches like JET, and other coaches like greyhound, flix, peter pan etc. More travel in these modes, should be encouraged and rewarded.

As someone who traveled on BART, Amtrak, Greyhound, Planes, Trolly and just public transportation I can say that this bus looks amazing.

I’m a professional motorcoach operator in the NYC Metro area and drive a Prevost. The bus conversion gets an A+. I wish the unit I drive had those seats!
The amenity most requested at my bus is WIFi and we do provide it but it’s nowhere near the speeds of the Jet.
This is a great job for a driver who loves greeting passengers with a smile and besides being a truly accomplished operator, takes pride in customer service.
I wish the CEO and all the employees, success and may the company grow and set a high standard for others to learn from.

As someone who lives in the UK I just can't understand taking a plane instead of a 4 hour bus journey.
This bus looks ace and if I had to travel for business it is something I would definitely do.
Public Transit over here is way better though to be fair, but I agree all the same, I'd be grabbing a Train or Coach from say, Manchester to London, if being the passenger in someone's car isn't an option.

Japan has had premium busses like this for years and I've always wanted to try them. So glad to see this as an option in the US now
I’ve been on one in Japan and it’s great.
Some of the Japanese travel UA-camrs (such as Kuga's Travel) have reviews of some of these buses on their channels. They seem to take a very different approach to the "luxury bus" there, but it's interesting to see the contrast.

This is amazing actually. I'd definitely pay $99 easy to go point to point on this bus. More comfy than a plane, and the Ubers to and from the airport alone will cost you more. It's a no-brainer. I hope they expand to more routes.

Anyone else questioning the business model. I just don't see this business model holding up at that price. Are they going also be subsidizing transporting of materials. 14 X 107 = 1498 per trip. Fuel, Tolls, Two staff, vehicle cost, insurance and maintenance.
A flight to DCA to Newark or LaGuardia still requires you to take an Uber or train into Manhattan. And door to door while flying is easily 3 hours minimum.
I've taken Acela, which is fine if it's for business, but expensive for personal use.

I used to live in NYC and I frequently traveled to D.C. when I lived there. I think this Bus company might take over because alot of the Buses that go down there in my experience have been uncomfortable, the busses are older than me, cramped and always breaking down. The Jet is going to go so far.

Don’t think this will take over. It’s a premium option. Megabus, Bolt, the Chinatown buses, etc. are still going to be used by most people.

$99 is incredibly affordable for such a stress free and comfy journey. I would pay that in a heartbeat. I wish we had something like this in the UK. Our coaches are cheap and plentiful, but passengers are crammed in like sardines if it is fully booked.

Planes offer less "in transit" time, but, in my experience, the time you wait getting through security and taxi-ing on the runway winds up being about the same amount of travel time. Also, air travel means you'll most likely need to take a train or bus anyway to get where you are actually going in New York (or pay premium cab fare and sit in traffic for an hour). I prefer trains and driving myself to New York (train if I'm staying in Mahattan, driving if I'm staying in Brooklyn)--but for future vacations in NYC or DC, the Jet may be a game changer.
I just took a trip from Manhattan to Fort Lauderdale, FL back in November. The flight was only $70 each way, and the flight itself was only 2.5 hours but everything else added at least an hour or two to that time. It would either take about an hour and two modes of transportation to get to Newark Airport or a $70 Lyft ride, I chose the latter because it was like 7 am. Getting back was a nightmare: we actually arrived early but the airport (Newark) didn't have space for us yet so we circled around for 20-30 minutes. Tower said the pilot could land, but once landed he found out there was no space at the gate for us...so we sat on the tarmac for about 45 minutes. It then took me about 20 minutes to get my bag from the luggage claim. The rest wasn't the fault of the airline, but it took me about another two or so hours to get from Newark to the Financial District in Manhattan because first no one from Lyft wanted to pick me up, so after 20 minutes I downloaded Uber, and that driver came 15 minutes later, then they had closed the Holland tunnel...on a Friday night. It literally took me longer to get from Newark to my apartment than it did to get from Fort Lauderdale to Newark! It also cost more, that ride cost me $130 because dude originally went to Hoboken, found out the tunnel was closed, then had to go up to Weehawken, and then sit in traffic for about 20 minutes. Our plane landed at about 9 PM, I never go home until like 1 AM...and I was about 20 miles from my apartment.

Train is def the best mode of travel between DC & NYC over air travel & bus. You’d be wasting your money on a JET. Great Idea but the price isn’t worth it.
There are people that have dun race comparison by train and flight. They started at the same spot and go to the stations and buy tickets there to see who is first. And flight newer wins.

The CEO of this company absolutely has his stuff together. I'm very impressed with not only his active role in the "nuts and bolts" part of the business but his attention to what customers want and expect. Too often I've paid extra for service that was lacking in so many areas; this is clearly not the case with this one. Though I live in California, if I'm in the area (which I frequently am), I will certainly give this a try!
The floating seat technology is pretty standard in semi trucks, but applying it to passenger seats in public transportation is genius.
It's hard to compete with the train for a fixed route like this, but I will consider the Jet for my next trip up to NYC. Thank you for sharing!

The problem with the plane from DC to NY is once you factor in the airport time it may actually be the longest option. I think this is the longest I could travel by bus.

Seems like a solid option tbh. Even if the flight is only an hour an a half you need to get to the airport an hour beforehand and then there's the hassle of getting off the plane, getting bags and usually a long cab ride. This seems like more comfort and more practicality.
I never would have considered a bus to travel to DC! Normally I would just book a flight, but this bus looks like an adventure and I love all the space you get! I think it's awesome that you're showcasing a startup company and giving it so much publicity. I'm sure many of us have never thought to travel long distances by bus!

If you offer bus rides from Vancouver, Canada, to Seattle, Washington, I will definitely book a ride.
Those seats have been used for a long time for truck drivers, they are on springs or air and they are incredibly comfortable.
Acela is the ultimate way to travel between DC and NYC. Picks up and drops off right in the middle of both cities. Takes about 4 hours total. No security means you can show up basically right before the train departs. No worries about traffic. Delays are very rare. All seats are extremely comfortable and spacious. Extremely easy to get work done or just relax for the entirety of the ride.
I would say normal trains next, then flying, then bus, then driving on your own.
I would definitely try this bus for the DC - NYC route just for the experience. Business class on Amtrak is still my go to. Props to the entrepreneur for giving this a go!
I hope that The Jet adds some West Coast routes to its itinerary as it grows! This would be amazing on the Los Angeles-San Francisco or LA-San Diego routes. I want to try that seat!

They have a sleeper bus from LA to SF that looks super nice idk the name or cost thou.
Back in 2002 when I lived in DC, I used Peter Pan Lines bus from DC to New York for about $35 for the "high class" ticket. The Greyhound lines also was available for around $18, both one way. The Peter Pan Lines buses were really nice, but with cloth seats.
the way those seats were hovering really must have made the ride amazing....
and so much of room and the placements of the seats really provide with the required privacy. it is really a comfort shell.

I've taken the Mega Bus from NYC to DC twice. The Jet here looks like a treat. The biggest problem with any road based transportation is the traffic and delays. I do feel sorry for those people on the Mega that looked disabled.
For myself it's much easier and less of a hassle to go to Penn station and take either the North East Corridor train or the Acela.
The Jet though would be a treat to try.

@@banksrail their prices jumped though so doubt they’ll last that much longer. People only liked Megabus because it was dirt cheap. DC to NYC was normally $10-$15, sometimes cheaper. Now the cheapest ticket is $25.

Very nice, the only thing I would recommend would be some type of separation between passengers. Perhaps some seat-high rounded walls, so you don’t see others directly when you’re seated. It would give it that upscale 1st class jetliner feel.

As someone who regularly has to use buses here in Ireland for similar 4-hour journeys, I'm jealous! The scheduled 3.5 hour cross-country service here usually takes about 5 hours (catching tourists out); its not uncommon for buses to be cancelled without warning, leaving a two-hour wait for the next one, and the buses are usually tired, worn, dirty, and all the curtains were removed years ago to cut costs on cleaning, so you'll have the sun in your face always. This looks so much better!
Same on this superpriced DC to NYC black bus. You can be traveling summertime midday and the Sun will be ruthessley beating down on you for 4 hours. No, thanks.

As the manager of a coach company in UK, I am really intrigued by this. UK has gone for very much the Megabus/ National Express 'cattle class' buses and the fares reflect that. I have long argued there is an argument for a premium service here; maybe I shall take this video to the Board of Directors and suggest we look at how our American colleagues operate this. (I might even get our Directors to pay for a 'holiday' to New York to try it myself).

Agreed, UK is the perfect place for a service like this.
It could also be competitive as rail prices in the UK are utter madness. Try getting a ticket from London Euston to Birmingham New Street in first/standard premium class for a decent price.
God forbid you want to travel to the north of England from the capital. I would be happy to pay a premium but it depends on the execution of the service as well as the amount of seating.
In America coaches aren’t as constrained by speed limits as in Europe so they can match train journey times. Not the case in britain where coach travel is best done cheaply.

This is a perfect example of why Capitalism works.
They've done a great job of thinking about everything, from the hover seats and bathroom, to the handrails. Just adds to the overall comfort. It's great they've spent a high initial investment, but will probably earn that back in satisfied customers coming back and attracting new ones with the really reasonable price.

Finally, the US is catching up with technologies and the conveniences other countries had already enjoyed for decades. More than 20 years ago I was so surprised to travel in a luxurious bus (like this one) with food and drinks (wine optional) served by a hostess while traveling through some places in central Mexico, individual television screens and optional privacy with well-appointed curtains were a great advantage since some of the trips were for more than 4 hours (nice to be able to travel comfortably flat on your back). I even traveled in one that was two stories and had an incredible view of the breathtaking mountains that we traversed. But, best of all, only a few hundred pesos per trip, which translated into only a few dollars for me (the cost of a taxi ride in NYC any day). I am very happy to be able to travel our country with the comfort and convenience that other countries have already enjoyed for decades. Thank you for sharing the good news. Cheers

Yes but for long distances, the Mexicans use aircraft, just like we do. They too are a large country with cities that are far apart.
It's only different down there because they are still basically a 3rd world country with a big drug war going on. Most of those buses get business mainly because the typical citizen of Mexico cannot afford a plane trip. If they were a G7 country like us, very few of those buses would still run. I certainly hope that one day they will be a G7 country.
Anyway as the video uploader explained, those shock absorbing seats are unique to that company. The Mexican buses don't have those seats. :) And Greyhound is pretty good too. :)

I'm impressed. I've done DC to NY via competitor Vamoose, both regular blue service and high end gold service. I typically pay for Gold service. The Jet appears to be extraordinary. I-95 is probably the worst up by Newark where the bumps are thrilling if you have a camera and want to take photos. I like the idea of motion canceling seats. The bathroom looks great! On a non-Jet bus, using the bathroom is an adventure. On bus vs train vs plane, for the times I've gone to the city, the bus works just fine. Yes there can be traffic issues, but mostly I've not encountered anything bad. All the best to The Jet! They've got my attention.
There’s a luxury bus service also similar like a The Jet here in Texas. They’re called Vonlane.

Way better than the Chinatown-to-Chinatown Express buses I saw while in college in DC in the 00s.
Having taken megabus numerous times on that route, I ve always found it just fine. Good wifi, relatively on- time, and the busses were comfortable, especially on the top deck. Plus, the faresI paid were less then the tolls if I drove. Busses were fairly empty, too.
I totally agree. I always get one of the front seats on the upper level. And you really can’t beat the price.
You're not kidding about the tolls depending on route and direction it can easily be over $50.

Old and dirty? The Northeast Corridor’s infrastructure may look deplorable but the Acela’s are fast and fairly modern. Avelia Liberty sets are scheduled to be delivered this year as well.

Looks like a vast improvement over cattle class on a plane and the time for the trip is likely not much different when you factor in all of the non-flight time for airlines.
And the fact that you're on a bus means there's no security hassle like on a plane.

Absolutely. The East cost is lucky in that the actual distances are such that you can keep drive time and fly time close to the same.
I've never really felt that flying between DC and NYC was worth it anyway. Especially because getting to and from the airport in NYC can be a hassle and take lots of time (or money if you get a cab).
Being based in Baltimore, I've done the NYC trip numerous times - either driving or taking the train. The Jet makes me consider their option. With the drive time to the airport, time to check-in, security, etc and then travel into the city from EWR, JFK or LGA, I can't imagine that the hassle from DC/Baltimore is worth it. Your video tempts me to train down to DC just to catch The Jet to NYC!
And BTW, did you ever put the camera down the entire drive up? Great footage the whole way!
I live in NYC and have driven to/from Baltimore/DC at least 20 times. Why anyone flies this is beyond me (unless they're getting on/coming from a connecting flight). Downtown to downtown train is faster and cheaper than flying, and door to door when you're not going to or coming from the heart of the city, driving is faster and cheaper. I'd only ever fly to DC from NYC if I lived near LGA - it's a small airport and you get to the gate quickly.

The United States are so behind the times when it comes to transportation. Mexico already has several “first class” bus services and the prices are very reasonable. It is nice to see that someone the U.S. is finally starting to come up with a more comfortable and updated system.

Yep, I'm from Mexico City, and was checking just for comparison... I remembered ADO Platino... And, for @ATF, all intercity bus lines here in Mexico are privately owned. Once, for work reasons, I spoke to the Omnibus de México office manager on the Autobuses del Norte terminal, and he clearly stated that their direct competition were not the other bus lines, but airlines.
Our public transportation is a joke. For a first world country it really makes you wonder how that’s possible but I doubt it will ever change

The JET should set up shop in Florida! Getting routes between Tampa to Orlando, Then connections to Tallahassee, Miami, Key West, Jacksonville, and other cities would be SWEET if the service is as good as this video shows.
For a 200 Dollar round trip, with comfort, good wi fi, and the promise of better food options, not to mention the speed of getting from one place to another? The JET would do well in our state!
I live in Canada, and to send my daughters to Regina SK to Brandon, MB on Greyhound was about the same as what the rider would pay on this JET bus. The $100 for a 4 hour trip is very reasonable!

Looks like an awesome way to travel. All the luxury of a first class seat without the depressurization afterwards, which I find, even as a pilot myself, always makes me feel groggy after a few hours at altitude in a pressurized plane. I tried Grey Hound out of Padecu, man I was shocked at the leather seats, LCD TV. Ride was great. 4 hours is not bad for Washington to New York, with a bar and nice seats like that, plus not having to push and crawl your way to a seat. That bus is well worth it.

I drive the DC/NY route 4 to 5 times every year for the last 20 years or so for various reasons. Last February 2020, before covid hit all of us, we took a Vamoose bus to NY and I was impressed. Will definitely try this new bus service.

Nah, they're pretty sturdy. Once in a while an air hose will break, but it's an easy fix.
if they are nicer looking semi-truck seats then those are solid, the tech etc is sturdy and probably easy to fix
@Chill Will No-one said anything of the sort. But I think this particular threads' OP have an unfounded fear of wear on the buses. They're built on a Volvo chassis, one of the most tried and tested in the world. The interior looked robust, and I think the price is competitive. The Amtrak first class ticket is $30 more, and further down in the thread someone say it isn't even that good. My objection would rather be: A full size bus, and two personnel, for only fourteen passengers? But it's still way better than fourteen cars, with only one person in them, going the same way. And in COVID-times it's better with fifteen other people, than a full bus or train.

@Chill Will Hmm. There's roads, you know? Jet bus line didn't build them. Bus is still 25% cheaper than the train, and probably more comfortable. Which, from a European perspective seems weird.
Kudos to the CEO and the company for starting off great in this video. I hope they success in this idea, which personally I like as there are no luxury "trains" in the US. Interesting idea in regards to the chair spring isolation system. However, I think its in a long way to make it truly into a first class Bus in my opinion, especially when comparing some stuff that Mercedes-Benz Premium and Business Bus offer or/and plan to offer. Personally, what I would recommend as an engineer is to do the following:
-Make it double decker: is very convenient as they can add lounges, bars, and more amenities with better quality services. Imagine having the top area a lounge area, with a nice bar, and a panoramic ceiling so you could enjoy your view, while you can sleep in your chair the lower area. Or the top area is your, kitchen. Either way, its a great uses of space.
I am just wondering how much the height of the bus will change and how that will effect manoeuvrability and stability because it is a coach and coaches can be quite tall even if they are only a single decker bus also if it was to become a double decker coach I think it would be best to have the seats on the top floor and have a lounge/Cafe on the bottom floor
@@bescotdude9121 totally true. However, I think I will do the opposite due to the fact that the upper section could have a panoramic roof, while the lower one could be more for sleeping. But totally legit
@@jorgejavierlaborde6623 the opposite has been done before on the overnight sleeper bus called cabin with basically capsule hotel pods on top and a lounge on the bottom

This is a phenomenal mode of travel outside of an RV motor home, coach on a bus air ride chassis. Maybe another company may create that. True charter land yachting at it's best. Thanks for sharing. Very nice leisure travel alternative!
After travelling around south america in their luxurious buses I have a greater appreciation for bus travel

Watching the bus move independent of the seats was sort of surreal, and I'd definitely try this out for that experience alone.
I’m watching this video cuz i spotted The Jet a few days ago in DC. I have to say that this is a very good contender. Since we’re strapped for time we make use of the time we have that we have given, in this case, purchased for. If I can travel comfortably and with ample amount of room to be able to work and stretch out, then I’m on board.
When I'm in the US I travel between DC and NYC frequently. I had never heard of this before, but will definitely be giving it a try.

I took a bus New York - Washington D.C. - New York, back in Sept 2019 during my stay in US. While checking among all possible means of transport I opted for Greyhound connection. It was not the cheapest but with the most suitable schedule (plenty of buses a day) and as well the travel time (non-stop service) was pretty convenient.
Getting the scenery while also enjoying the comfort of this seat is for me as a tourist very attractive. Thank you for the review. I will consider it for future travel.

I was done with bus transportation in general after a bad experience in the early 2000's, but this seems pretty amazing. I love the low number of passengers on the bus, the seat review and the available restroom. Good review.

Yep , you see lots. I used to drive National Express coaches here in the UK in my 20`s. I later joined the ambulance service and did paramedic training and went on to save lives, but, for me , looking back my proudest time for me was driving a large coach full of people which trumped my ambulance time strangely.
Ditto on that.. I have traveled by bus in 40 or so countries.. There are first class busses in many countries. Meals and attendants.

I wanted to start a company like this years ago. My buses would have larger more comfortable seating and a privacy curtain or sliding door for each seat. As you said, traffic, construction and delays will always be the problem…
Better roads induce demand, more roads are never the answer except for highway builders.
A Privacy Curtain so you can talk on the phone, sleep or just have privacy.

For flight purposes this is amazing. Amtrak has gotten worse with less travel options and so have Megabus this is an amazing alternative! You can get work done or rest while getting to your destination.
Try Our Bus line.
you can get work done on all three options of travel whether bus (flixx, mega, jet), train , or plane. It isn’t exclusive to this bus. lol

we use "air ride" seats on all our boats now, great smooth rides especially if you have any back pains when sitting for long durations.
I would totally try this just for the experience otherwise flying is just so much easier for me.
The cabin looks amazing and looks like it would be the best affordable road travel experience out there
How long is the entire flight process from travelling to the airport, check-in, boarding, flight, deplaining, baggage collection etc?

@@rztrzt I work for an airline so I only need to get to the airport an hour or a little less before a domestic flight with out a checked bag. I live 20 mins form the airport

Really nice video. I hope they expand to more routes like NYC-Boston, NYC to Atlanta, NYC to Miami, NYC to Chicago, NYC to Austin. Imagine how beautiful those long trips would be.
I would pay 100 for this bus boston to nyc no questions.
I think the novelty would wear off pretty quickly on a long distance trip.
@@HighHolyOne maybe but the 4-6 hour range might be where this design shines. I pay ~$60 for 1 way now and I'm 6'3" $40 more so my knees don't ache when I get to the port authority is worth it, just my two cents.

I would love to see this expand all over the country. Just as any Greyhound or Wilson bus lines would operate. I love to travel but I hate driving and flying so this would be a great option
This is most likely not going to happen "all over" America. America is just too sparsely populated for this to happen. The most likely countries to have this happen all over is probably India since China has two deserts. Japan could have this all over and the do have long distance sleeper buses. However, Japan's land size is only comparable to California.
@@thebigmoneyshow806 Well we have established commuter bus lines in the US. I’m just saying add on to that system with high class ones like this. For more of a first class experience rather than the economy you get on a normal bus route

I’m impressed on the timing ⏱ the comfort, the views, the decor of the bus, and the price! For $100 bucks you can’t beat it! Flying is tricky and messy, driving is a nightmare and your exhausted, here you can sleep 💤 power your devices and sit in a seat built for a king! No I haven’t been in this bus or the ride! But I can bet you this, my trip to Washington DC with my family will be on this bus! Fast and convenient, with a less load of people which will make my wife very very happy, and my 5 year old, who is extremely quiet and loves to nap like his papa! I’m saving this option in my note pad right now!
