    Another period problem is super painful cramps, but I'm going to dedicate an entire video to this topic in a couple of weeks, so just keep an eye out! I really hope you find this information interesting and helpful! Happy periods!

      It's probably due to high prostaglandin levels. The pill and ibuprofen both reduce prostaglandin levels, that's why the pain doesn't happen. There are some ways to fight it naturally and I'll talk about them in that video. By the way, prostaglandins are also the cause of my period cramps. I know the feeling, they are excruciating.

      I know the feeling, trust me. When the cramps feel almost like contractions and you feel like you just can't take it anymore. It's such an awful feeling. I'll post the video next week. Hopefully, some of the remedies will help!

    limiting dairy and omega 6 rich foods the week before my period and a good omega 3 supplement helped me the most,also Vitamin B 6 and magnesium helped me a lot:)))Iron supplements hurt my gut even the gentle lquid ones,so I drink blackberry wine with just 4 procent alcohol in it,it helps with anemia the most:)

      Detoxing heavy metals with TRS got rid of mine (this is my last update: ua-cam.com/video/PyWA-LoCeK4/v-deo.html). Liver and gallbladder flushes could be very helpful, too. Also look up the root cause protocol (on Facebook or their website), it's a wonderful resource for mineral balancing.

    Menopause is also a reason for most of the issues you mentioned. Motherwort is a menopause ally.

    • @Vitalivesfree
      @Vitalivesfree  6 років тому

      True, but menopause itself is nothing else but changing levels of hormones, namely rapidly falling progesterone and still reasonably high estrogen levels, in other words Estrogen Dominance. xx

    This is wonderful information! However it can be a bit confusing to know what your problem actually is. Up until about a year ago I used to have clockwork periods, no painful cramps. I have had some stress in my life for sure this year so that may be it. I had a surgery on my hip last month which really stressed me out before hand and I also had a surgery on the other hip earlier this year. I have had two 45 day cycles which is basically skipping a cycle. several months ago my breasts were sore for a whole month and I skipped a cycle then. And the last time was before my last surgery. I then got my period that was accompanied with HORRIBLE cramps, was clotty and heavier than normal. I thought to myself, I haven't had cramps like this since I was a teenager! also, I lost a bit of my sex drive within that time. I eat a very healthy diet, I'm a certified nutritional therapist. Healthy fats, good carbs, loads of veggies and good protein. I just want to get back to normal. I've been putting maca in my smoothies. I was thinking about ordering the estersence you talked about. I don't drink caffeine. I'm trying to reduce stress as much as possible. Any advice? I love all your videos!

    • @Vitalivesfree
      @Vitalivesfree  6 років тому

      I would check hormone levels before trying EstroSense because if your estrogen is normal or on the lower side, it will send it even lower (it happened to me). Stress is probably what caused all of your issues. High stress causes high cortisol production, which means that progesterone is stolen in order to produce it. Plus, the body becomes more "resistant" to progesterone, it doesn't assimilate it as well, so you start experiencing low progesterone symptoms during stressful periods. I would focus on herbs and lifestyle changes that combat stress and strengthen adrenals (maca is one of them) and everything should come into balance again in time. But I would definitely check the levels of progesterone and estradiol, so you know where you stand. xx

    Would love to know if you know much about prolonged periods. Like 7-10 days. Almost like the body doesn’t know how to “turn off” the bleeding!

    • @Vitalivesfree
      @Vitalivesfree  6 років тому +3

      Yes, like I said in the video, it's likely that estrogen isn't climbing properly during the second half of the cycle, so the body just doesn't get the signal to stop the bleeding. Check your estradiol levels during the folicular phase. Also low thyroid function could cause similar symptoms. xx

    Definitely sounds like I have low progesterone.. occasional spotting, heavy, dark, clotty periods, but since taking liver herbs (milk thistle, dadelion) I've had no cramping. I also get tender and larger breasts a week before my period. Can't wait to see what herbs/remedies to use in your next video. I'd really like to raise my progesterone!

    I am confused because my periods have not been consistent for years and I spotted between periods a lot. I was told it’s because of insulin resistant and it is always fixed with metformim but now that I am 47 and starting to experience symptoms again I wonder if it’s insulin resistance even though I have lost several lbs and I thought my pros was healed. Or estrogen or low progesterone. I never had missed period with pcos only spotting between periods. :(

    1 yr &9 months of no period. So I’ve been taking vitex and lost a little weight. After 6 weeks of this I was getting a dark brownish red discharge. Now after 8 weeks, I’m getting light pinkish blood for the last 2 days. It only lasts for like an hour then nothing. I’m just really confused and have no idea what’s going on. My doctor wanted to put me on birth control or Metformin but I don’t wanna go that route. I want a real solution not a band aid. Any advice for me?

      Spotting is often a sign of low progesterone, and light periods could point to low estrogen, but unless you do an actual test, you'll only be guessing.

    I am suspecting that I have estrogen dominance (I quit the pill in july 2017 and started getting skin issues - started out as multiple whiteheads then progressed to big painful pimples) and low progesterone (spotting 2-3 days before my period) and also short LP (11-12 days). Do you think Calcium d glucarate en vitex combination would be a good balancing mix for me? @Vita

    • @Vitalivesfree
      @Vitalivesfree  6 років тому

      I wouldn't try anything without checking the hormone levels first because if you guess it wrong, you can do way more damage than good. For example, estrogen dominance can be both with normal estrogen and low progesterone, and also with high estrogen and normal or low progesterone levels, so if your estrogen level is normal but you start using supplements that lower estrogen, you'll end up messing everything up and progesterone is very likely to move lower as well because without enough estrogen, strong ovulation can't happen, and without ovulation, there won't be enough progesterone. Basically, testing your hormone levels is the first thing to do and it's not something to skip. Calcium d glucarate does send estrogen levels down, so be careful with it unless you have proven high estrogen levels. xx
