I use the T600 in my home server.
It's amazing for hardware-accelerated remote desktop use and it will run NVENC transcodes at exact the same speed as my 3070 (which is 3-4x the cost and ~8x the power consumption.)
That’s awesome :)
What do you use your home server for?
Im using mine T600 for machine learning object (face, person, car, dog, cat, etc) detection with zoneminder dvr, it's way faster than any processor for such task
@@RangerDK21 linus did a similar thing in one of his videos

I really enjoy these videos. A real world review on hardware that common person can afford. This would be good for a media center PC and gaming. I'm happy if I can play any game over 30fps
this sells for 500 used, this isnt affordable lol
@@kyles8524 oh, well rip. Should've looked it up before I commented. That 3060 territory
@@kyles8524 500 usd...damn its cheaper here in india, probably around 300 usd. Its the only gpu i saw on amazon. Usually gpus are expensive here
If you're happy with that, RX 560 should be sufficient for you, it is also over $250 cheaper.
Yeah these aren't cheap at all, if you want cheap buy a second hand Nvidia Quadro K4000.
Now, the terminator family is complete
There is still a T1200, but that is a mobile GPU only ound in some Pro laptops
@@TheStopwatchGod oh it would be cool to see a T1200 desktop version, maybe it can go against the gtx 1060
@@GameFrostYT if there's a mxm card maybe you could just use an adapter but I don't think Nvidia likes making those cards anymore
@@iamnotsurewhatmynameisno3815 yep I remember those swappable mobile gpus, they were really cool but I guess NVidia dropped them maybe because of cost

It's 2021, and we're looking at brand new cards that push 30-60fps at 1080p low/medium. Desperate times lol
Indeed😭
1060 6GB used for $300 still the best price/performance deal. 1080p medium/high 60 FPS no problem. It's still sad & desperate to pay MSRP for a 5 year old card but it's the least overpriced card for its performance in gaming, unless one manages to find a good deal on a 1660 Ti / 5600XT.
Makes me glad I bought a 5600 XT back in the beginning of 2020 for below MSRP despite the reviewers saying it's a bad card. It performs quite well even at 1440p medium high to high. Then I bought a 2070 Super for less than MSRP a few months later due the 5600 XT was needed elsewhere and the RX 570 that was in that other system got moved to the storage box... Then when the 6600 XT was released, I ended up buying one because my local Micro Center had it available at MSRP for more than a week and figured I could use it for something like mining. Nope, it went to another family member's build.
I bought a 970 about three years ago during the first mining craze for $120USD - it was a total steal at the time, most were going for $200USD+. I jumped on it because it was a steal, but figured I'd probably upgrade before too long. Three years later, and I'm hanging on to it for dear life lol.
In fairness though, it's a great card, and fulfills my needs reasonably well.
@@jasonandrews7355 It was a pretty bad take for people to say that prices will not go up and to not "panic buy" PC hardware in the early days of the pandemic. I kinda want them to eat crow for that one.

No idea why but i was so excited to see you testing this card.
this card has basically a gtx 1650 GDDR6, except for the lower tdp and therefore lower clockspeeds on memory and core. I wonder how much weaker it would be compared to the 1650 gddr6 and if it was somehow possible to increase the power limit. (probably not considering this is a NVIDIA product, but hey, might be worth a try)
Probably it's 10-20% less powerful or maybe not, cuz it has different drivers and software's that might help get more power using less energy.
It's slightly more powerful than a 1050 Ti.
Could the card's firmware be reflashed to a GTX 1650?
Down here in Sydney Aust. the GTX1650 GDDR6 is $190AUD cheaper than the T1000

I got a good laugh out of the terminator jokes at the beginning. Great video
T1000, the heatsink better be on there with liquid metal. 😄
just be careful when cooling with liquid nitrogen
more so if working in a steel mill
Keep em coming, loving this route of videos
Thanks for making a video on each of these series' graphics cards!
Thanks for watching :)
ever since this video, i have been eying the t1000 to upgrade the gt 1030 in my dell optiplex 3020 sff, and i gotta say this card looks promising!! also great video man. keep it up!
About 6 months ago I hadmy very old GTX 560 TI die and as an interim measure I replaced it with a Quaddro K620 (2GB GDDR) that I had wrangled from an old HP Z440 workstation at work. I gamed on that for some time, and 1080p was out of the question for any games where frame rate is a requirement. But it worked well enough for cities skyliness and crusader kings 3. I am still much happier with my new (to me) GTX 10880 Founders Edition.
Enjoying your vids man, keep up the good work :)
that was actually really crazy how well it performed.
The fact that the T600/T1000 seem to be running close to the same price/performance as a 1050ti/1650 and more readily available, at least here in the US, makes these a fairly decent option if you want peace of mind on new parts. Also I think you can still overclock a little to squeeze a couple extra frames out of them. Not a bad showing all things considered
its made clear that my old RX570 is practically gold in this chip shortage. its slightly better than this is and was half the price at launch
i think it would be interesting to see what extra performance you can pull off from overclocking these if possible
I got a tip from your previous video about Lenovo sales, managed to grab a T400 for €75 in a pre black Friday sale. Using it as a transcoder for my server 👍 Cheers dude
Definitely enjoyed this video
Dude, when you said t1000 I immediately thought of a terminator. after continuing to watch your video, I was happy you also thought of one:)

That is an interesting video, especially with the current GPU prices. Would be great if you manage to review the new 8GB version!
Can this T1000 morph into a Rtx 3090? Coz that would be awesome!
The T1000 can only morph into something of equal size.

@@Slaterking2010 don't underestimate it. By the way, that security guard that the T1000 morphed into in the movie, was definitely bigger than T1000's size :D

Thanks for making these series of videos. I ended up on this channel mostly looking for real world information on the T400, T600 and T1000. Have you done any tests with these considering the multi-monitor aspects ?
I received a T600 once in a bundle. The 4 mini DP ports were very weird, but it came with 4 adaptors to full sized display port. I was able to sell it right away so I didn't test the gaming aspect of it. Very informative video, as always.
Here on my monitor only hdmi and vga ports so how to connect these cards with my monitor?
@@Defender_928 How about Mini DP to HDMI or VGA Adapter? It's all on Amazon for example..
These cards seem perfect if you are all about older titles indies or emulation.
@wakenbaker-uk or a gtx 1650 or add a bit more and buy a whole laptop with a 1650.
@wakenbaker-uk 350 on a whole system? Are you living in 2010 mate?

-Kingston basic ssd 240gb, 40€
-GTS250 512mb gddr3, 12€ (I cheaped out on this)
-2 Xeon5650, 26€
-you add in a few cables and a pair of sound isolating headphones, 60€
yeah, 250 and you have a complete system that is ready to play older titles, you can chuck in a gtx750ti for extra gaming performance, and you stay in that 350 range, I don't need it tho, I have to play some older titles before moving to a better card, and it's a fantastic platform to learn about vms and enterprise hardware without spending too much, because if you don't need blazing fast vms 12 cores and 24gb of ram even if they are slow can still be divided to create many different vms.
Lol nice terminator reference, T1000 seems like the best choice to me since it hits 60fps where T600 couldn't and i would personally pay the extra for it, good series of cards for the price they ask.
Loved that Terminator reference, i bet not many would get it.
😉
I appreciate your videos, would love to know how some of these cards work in video renderings ?
Nicer terminator reference❤️
Love your name when it came to Battlefield 2042 by the way.
Those Terminator puns were greatly appreciated sir.
i know nothing about pcs even though i own one but wow i love theses videos
Came for the T2 Judgement day reference, was not disappointed :)
I bought the T400 to run a few displays, reduce the amount of cheap finicky adapters I was using, and reduce power consumption. Didn't expect it to play any video games but it does pretty well. We really needed some new low end graphics cards on the market and we're finally getting them.
Going back to another card, the T400 is selling for around ~$120 on Newegg in the US. If you see it like a slightly souped-up GT 1030 and you're looking for something that's SFF compatible, it seems like a decent deal for only $10 more compared to an actual 1030 of the same size.
Hey man u r really great man

I enjoyed the video. Thanks.
However, there's T800. In Terminator 😄
The funny thing with my setup is, I have T1000 4GB (not 8GB) inside my Zbook 17, and it's having RTX A5000 as eGPU 😃
The Terminator puns were to die for
Very curious about the 8GB variant of the T1000.
It’s fetching what seems like an insane premium for a low TDP card.
Gotta appreciate those Terminator references!
'Judgement Day' - Nice T2 reference there.
Weird that these videos are so good lmao
Waiting for your T2000 review for the final episode of Turing Quadro cards series 🙂
Please consider adding Halo Infinite to your benchmark lineup. I recently bought a T400 for the NVENC capabilities, it was cheaper to buy one new than buying a 1050 used.
Please do some 4K bench marking. And thanks a lot for your efforts so far
T 1000, where was Arnold Schwarzenegger, I was looking for him in game play lol Great video bud

I was expecting terminator references and I was not disappointed
Long story short, NVidia T series is mostly suitable for Recording video of your main GPU.
So for example, your motherboard has 2x PCIe X16 Slot. And you use the Top slot for main GPU, and the bottom slot for T GPU to record the video.
Now for some of that Nvidia RTX A6000's "Playing games during office hours"Benchmark
It's not fair that you keep finding cards and I'm here trying to find a replacement for a hd5570 :D
brother I really liked the videos of the quadro T series graphics, I believe that I can do some tests with the three video cards of a single game.
I am interested since maybe I will buy one but I don't know how it performs in this game because there are no videos of this with the graphic card.
The game is War Thunder, of course if you can do it with the graphic differences
PS: I really like your channel and I have learned a lot from it
Just the NAME makes me need one
I feel like it's worth trying other presets and resolutions with DLSS on the T1000. The reason the performance doesn't increase or sometimes decreases is almost certainly due to the lack of tensor cores on the T1000. DLSS technically always has a performance hit, but it's very small due to the FP16 acceration provided by the tensor cores. The performance increase seen from the reduction in resolution when using DLSS is more than enough to make up for the performance hit, thus framerate is higher overall. Without the tensor cores, DLSS has to run on the shaders, which increases the performance hit from using it to a point where the performance gains from running at a lower resolution are not enough to make up for it. But the performance hit from using DLSS isn't static. It increases depending on how much you are upscaling (going from 720p to 1440p has a larger performance hit than going from 1080p to 1440p), and what your base resolution is (a 4x upscale from 540p to 1080p will take less GPU processing power than a 4x upscale from 720p to 1440p). On top of that, there are diminishing returns from lower resolution to increase performance. So even if DLSS doesn't improve performance when running at 1080p performance mode (which is a 4x upscale from 540p to 1080p), it might improve performance at something like 900p quality mode (Roughly a 2x upscale 600p to 900p).
Started watching expecting terminator puns and it did not disappoint.
This card is essentially a GTX1650 vanilla (GDDR6), albeit with much lower clockspeed and smaller PCB, obviously.
Any chance we'll be seeing these cards in laptops? Or would that be a T1000M?
these terminators are getting better and better
Lenovo selling the t600 for 250... This is what the gpu market came to? Pro Cards more accessible than gaming cards 😭😭😭
Yeah they've always had a premium a they're workstation cards, but now things are even worse price-wise
RGHD is a true gamer at heart, judging by his name in BF2042 ;)
I know you usually test RDR2 in and around Valentine, but wouldn't Saint Denis make more sense? It's the most demanding area of the game, after all.
Well he would have to throw out all the years of data if he swapped to saint denis now.
Valentine is a more realistic test. saint denis is the only area that demanding in the game
Its way easier to compare to other cards hes tested, consistency.
@@CJJT02 But being able to run the game in Valentine is kind of worthless if you can't run it in Saint Denis, considering how much of the game takes place there. It's not like you can avoid it.
I really like your channel for showing of some less highend, more affordable and older hardware, rather than the next "RTX 3080ti vs RX 6900xt Cyberpunk 2077 ULTRA Raytracing [4K]", that pretty much no one is going to experience anyway.
I personally do own a PC with a GTX 1650 super in it and even as someone who has been playing videogames for over 10 years now (also on highend graphics cards) I have to say, I think it's perfectly reasonable to game on a more low end GPU. The 1650 super can run every recent game at 1080p/60fps and most of them at reasonably high settings (the games I play and I bought this Computer for, can easily be played at maximum settings with 100+ fps).
And even if, on these cheaper/older budged GPUs, you have to reduce the settings a bit, I actually find it quite fun fiddling around a bit to find the perfect visuals to performance ratio. Also in an actual gaming situation I think the settings don't matter that much anyway, most AAA Titels look great on all graphical presets and often times I do actually struggle to tell if someone is playing on low or high settings, without a direct comparison.
So for that matter, I think your videos are not only very entertaining, but also very useful.
1650 Super is overlooked card. It is almost as good as 1660 (regular one ) with about 10% efficiency difference. However, because most people thimk that it is just OC of regular 1650, which was a huge letdown when it comes to price vs. performance. It also didn't help that most people were comparing it against 1050Ti, not regular 1050 for which it was a replacement.
Still, even regular 1650 is not a bad card for gaming at 1080p if one is not obsessed about super high settings in games and resolutions beyond 1080p.
@@kamilciura7953 i find overclocking talk hilarious, i've never overclocked my home rig with an RX570 and Ryzen 5 2600x and i've actually underclocked my laptop to get more consistent fps in most games (although that _is_ technically a symptom of the fact that i need to dust and repaste it lol)
@@quinnmarchese6313 I do not OC my hardware either (well, apart from Vita and PS TV). I was saying that people mistake 1650 Super for a regular 1650 with factory clock boost, while in reality, this is a very different card. Boost clock tops out at 1725 MHz whereas in case of regular 1650 it is 1665Mhz so it is not a huge difference and yet, so many people think that it's all that nvidia has done with the card. What would be the point?
1650 Super is equipped with faster memory and bandwidth: 12Gbps GDDR6 vs 8Gbps GDDR5 in older card. This alone makes a big difference. Of course, there is also new version of 1650, also coming with 12Gbps DDR6 memory, but it is still weaker card as differences do not end here. Older version of 1650 have 128 GB/s bandwidth, while more recent one and Super come with 192 GB/s.
But the key thing is number of CUDA cores.
1650 Super pack 1280 CUDA cores vs 896 in case of both versions of 1650. This gives 1650 Super a hefty 40% lead in terms of efficiency when it comes to running games.
This makes if falling very close in terms of performance to a regular 1660, which have only 10% advantage (which has been replaced by 1660S, most likely for this reason).
Hey, can you please tell me about where the garden rocks surrounding the concrete are from? The ones with an opaque shell around the very translucent inside.
You're in Europe and you get your rocks from somewhere different and you have the same garden rocks as some of my relatives. I would really like to be able to source a few since the whole rocks tend to look like little eggs and I love how inside they are so beautiful. Please tell me if you know anything about them.
An interesting side note, most higher end professional cards such as the Quadro generally use ECC video memory. A lot of them also have hardware acceleration for some things that a standard GPU won't have. The combination of specific software optimisations and specific hardware acceleration and ECC memory means a low end Quadro can often outperform a top of the line standard GPU in certain uses, one example would be AutoCAD.
Generally low end quadros don't outperform top of the line gpus, but they match them, so they are usually very very efficient

Great video. How does the T1000 compare to GTX 1050 ti and GTX 1650?
I've was thinking about giving those cards a try because I got my hands on a slim Dell Optiplex with i5-2500 quad core and already tried 210 and 710 which ended up causing major bottlenecking. Was also trying to also get 1050 ti or 1650 low profile but they are over priced or get snagged. So could use an alternative card.
G'day Random,
Down here in Sydney Australia the T1000 is $599AUD while the same Cuda Count GTX1650 GDDR6 start at $409AUD
I've a workstation Lenovo, M920s, and I love SFF format but my gpu is an old GT1030 and I would like mor power... What is better, a GTX1650 D6 or any Nivida T? Thanks
How is the fan noise? I work nights shifts from home so I need a quite card... thanks :)
IIRC, this is based on the same TU117 GPU die as the the 1650. That means that there's probably no RTX cores on the unit itself and the chip itself likely only supports a max of 4 GB VRAM. The T600 is cut down compared to the 1650, but the T1000 looks like it's got the full array of CU. Overall, prices for the T1000 are about on par with a normal 1650, so I'd probably just get one of those unless I'm doing a SFF build where I really need the single slot design.
No. The laptop 1650 has the full core count. It ships with the 1024 cores. The 1650ti is basically the gddr6 version of the gdde5 gtx 1650 laptop edition.
Cool video, but you should’ve tested these cards on more basic gaming, like csgo, overwatch, apex, Fortnite and valorant

I have an issue on forza horizon 5 when I drive too much of a fast car. It is about the gpu memory bandwidth (or its memmory size I guess) and I have a gtx1650. Did this happen go you?
At £350 new surely a 1050 ti with dual fans from CEX at £180 is a much better deal ? I saw one of those at my local branch the other day, they also had the 1030.
The most important point here is that these powerful little cards are low profile as well as single slot.
Amazing upgrade options for sff machines like a DELL 7040!
Also since they are Quadros they will be supported longer
