This project aims to blend the essence of the game with cutting-edge technology, creating a powerful cinematic experience that honors its legacy while inviting both longtime fans and new audiences to experience the terror and thrill of Quake in a whole new way.

I second this.Ive worked with the quake engine for decades and never liked the original game i i thought it wasn't detailed enough but this id like.

And for Demon's sake, remove the classes and weapon mods. Make it about the levels and infinite tactical options. Make it in a way that enables SPEEDRUNNING.
Just make QuakeWorld but more beautiful looking. Don't want overly hitscan dominated gameplay with rail, huge rooms and slow explosives with small blast radius and weak knockback...
someone please send this to id's concept artists, this is how I want the aesthetics of the next quake game to look. Not overly flashy and overbearing like Doom but true to the original game in art direction and gameplay. Also, another Trent Reznor soundtrack would just be insane.
If only. Won’t happen though, we will just keep getting “arcade” doom because Quake is based on HP Lovecraft and he was cancelled

If you dont like it thats fine, but dont act like doom eternal was a bad game or even looked bad, you just wanted dark and gritty, not everything has to be dark and gritty, and eternal certainly wasn't that in the first place.

Absolutely in love with this. I also love the little lore details you added to the AI video. GREAT choice making Ranger come off as a survivalist. He's been trapped, going rift to rift for untold years. You took his lore right from Quake Champions, too, where he's basically been a survivalist for decades. He's gone crazy... but he still remembers his family, so he's not gone totally mad, unlike others who wouldn't last even a second with Eldritch beings, no less freaking hunting them in those halls.
I've watched this over 10 times now and I can't stop, some of these shots are so spot on, I find myself thinking about them over and over again. This is absolutely incredible, please do more like this or maybe Space Marine, Wolfenstein (new order, new collosus), Doom, anything id. Love it

I played the hell out of this game, including the two expansion packs. The best deathmatches of any game ever are on HIPDM1: The Edge of Oblivion. That map is a pure work of art. If you quickly acquire the pentagram, rocket launcher, and quad-damage, you could instantly rocket jump to virtually anywhere on the map, and while rocket jumping through the sky from suspended platform to platform snipe everything in seconds.
Holy crap this is sick! The brain loves to fill in the details with nostalgia and you've made it real haha. Fantastic!

It's so awesome video. I played the game QUAKE based on MS-DOS in 1996 when I was a younger dude. ID devs should come up with new games resurrected in old but awesome games like this if they want to make another steady seller. This AI video is perfect.

All rangers characters are cool as fuck, the wizard is insanely good and zombies warriors are perfect. All the landscapes fit perfectly to quake. The shambler must be more close to quake without eyes and have to be bigger.
Fun fact. Quake wasn't originally meant to be a mix of medieval fanstasy and sci-fi. It was about a hammer-wielding warrior named Quake, in a medieval setting. But they realized it was a bit too ambitious and switched in the Doom direction mid development. You could say that Quake's strange mix of medieval fantasy and sci-fi was a happy accident. In any case, it turned out to be a really cool setting.
