This is my second favorite AI trailer after Quake 2. Quake seems in a nether world between Doom and Quake 2 in popularity, and in many ways it was a strange game, mixing Medieval, undead, and science fiction themes. Still, this trailer shows what could be done with the game today--Ranger as BA soldier fighting with other units, the maps mixing technology like the signs in with occult or fantasy motifs, and the over the shoulder third person view would add a documentary feel to the fighting scenes; you're watching Ranger's videos as much as controlling him.

This is by far one of the coolest AI "trailers" I've seen, and makes me wish they could do Quake 2 as a re-imagined game. People have done a lot of work with it, adding ray tracing and lighting effects and sometimes better character models, but it's the same maps and same game underneath. All amazing for sometjing from 1997, but consider if instead they'd handed Unreal 5 to a developer today and said, "here's the general story we want, have fun." If it was like this trailer there would be several types of foot soldier and flying units, the Iron Maidens would be unit commanders or level bosses, the Makron would be a character you'd meet early on and fight several times, and you'd periodically link up and fight with other Marine units. Well, one can hope....

Amazing but I think it should look slightly more rusty and simplified like in the way Star Wars 1 does, or take Mad Max or Waterworld and less futuristic. This looks a bit too much like The Borg or something.

@ RanzidFilms what kind of tool and process do you use to generate those Quake style level design aesthetics? It's cool how it captures the simplicity of old school level design but still looks complex. I miss this kind of level-style

Imagine having truly old school design aesthetics but just make it look modern. Not your usual fucking bullshit that somehow all looks the same.

In a few years we will have easily full movies made using and or aided using AI. Then Hollywood can dig their final grave

well, Q1 really deservess a "remake" or a continuing. Full speed strogg fragging and strafing with rl jumping everywhere, the same pace or faster then doom eternal!!!! it is a so iconical and world changing game, that it needs a remake! ( i cant see what im writing)...
