I hear lot reviewers saying switch to night rate or the "free" weekend tafiff from providers but if look up these tariffs you will find you pay cheaper night rate etc but your normal day rate goes up so not really saving at end of the day. Good in depth review
This is 100% true. If you make this decision you have to be very conscious of when and how you use your electricity. Typically it doesn't work for someone who works from home as they use a lot of power during the day. This really only works for people who are at the office 5 days a week from morning till night.
I’m getting a Cupra Born EV later this week and I hear this all the time if you have an EV you need an EV tariff. I did the maths and for someone like me who works at home it was not cheaper to use on of these tariffs. I wish they could be marketed in the correct way versus being promoted to all EV drivers. My friend who also drives electric has an EV tariff and when I worked out the difference between EV tariff and normal tariff he was making a saving of £2 a month and he had to charge his car at night only.
Brilliant video. The 'hungry child' analogy is the best explanation I've heard of charging speeds.
This is a really good video. It's well presented, it covers a lot of material without going into too much depth and covers all the main points well.
Thank you so much! We really appreciate your kind words! More videos to come!
