Hey quick question, what colleges do you recommend for automotive engineering?im just a random 14 year old who just loved cars ever since and never lets them go
Any college with a good mechanical engineering program can get you into a career in automotive engineering. I went to UC Berkeley and had a few friends go off to Tesla, Ford, and GM.
You can learn a lot of basic mechanical (and social) skills at your age already, just try to land and inter job at a local car shop. Ask around if someone knows somebody, or literally walk into places and ask. With that in your pocket you can go after a degree.
You start with MIT and then go into pre med for 4 years and decide that you don't want to do that anymore and then after you drop out of pre-law because you failed the bar exam you go down to your nearest tire shop and work there for 3 years while you're stacking tools along the way and learning what you can... and after that you'll find everything else that you need to know on youtube or a quick forum search.
My wife and I had a 2004 Mini Cooper S. We bought it brand new. We got rid of it at 289k miles. We had almost no problems with it until about 260k miles other than normal stuff. We didn't even have to replace the original clutch until 150k miles. the car was amazing.
You might want to watch the e-quad videos again...just sayin'. Lol! But yeah, $3500 for an e-mini? It looks do-able. Be interesting to see how much fun he thinks his classic mini is after the finishes the electric one.
Looking forward to seeing the battery/range specs... I've always loved the idea of an electric 'project binky' but I feel like you might struggle to keep up with them... if they ever finish.
I'm looking forward to see the 0 - 60 time. I noticed BOM scavenged Binky's electronic dash for the CCC race car. Seeing's how it's probably 5 years old now, they can get a newer, better one for Binky.
For what it is worth, I have 2 mini coopers (both are gen 2) with nearly 500,00 miles between them and have had no major issues. From what I have seen though, it seems that those who drive their minis/BMWs gently or just have automatics, will have problems. If you go with the getreg manual transmission and drive it hard (stay in the power band), but use high quality fluids/filters (Liqui-Moly oil, BMW coolant, genuine Purflux filters) they last a long time. Last time I did a tune up at 300,000 miles, I ran a borescope down the cylinders and you can still see the factory honing marks. Everything looks brand new. And that is on the 13 year old 2007 Base Mini that I take on rallies. Pretty much the only part that hasnt lasted long is the vinyl on the driver seat. I seem to get about 130k miles out of a driver seat before the vinyl gets hard/cracked. Might be better if I went for the leather seats instead of the stock vinyl (leatherette) sport seats. All that being said, I am strongly not a fan of the gen 3 (2014+) Minis. The engines are smooth and plenty powerful, but everything else is stupid. They are heavy, gimicky, illogical, uncomfortable, not very reliable, and expensive AF to fix.
Linda puts a smile on my face. It seems to be automatic. I just worry about her white shorts and shoes. I figure that between this and Munro Live I've got the whole topic covered.
@@shawnerz98 That's very true in 98% of the cases. I heard about a few situations where they get to keep it. I guess it all depends on judge and situation.
If you had a shop able to do this work, then you don't really need an affordable car....unless it is to pay off the shop. $30,000 shop and 100 to 200 hrs to build a $5000 car with 80 miles of range and top speed of 60ish.....or you could spend 35,000 to 40,000 on a brand new base budget T3, Bolt, Leaf

Or shoe laces xD
The word is "frugal.
He’s like Alex Choi with his creased Airforce 1s 😂🤣
I really want to like this comment but then I'd be ruining the 69 likes it currently has...
I dunno. Since the start of the global virus situation (a.d. 2020), I've been unable to find my favorite 9 mil nitrile gloves at Harbor Freight.
'9" vibration isolated love joy connector'. Seriously! Some marketing guy really earned his pay on that one.
Linda puts a smile on my face. It seems to be automatic. I just worry about her white shorts and shoes. I figure that between this and Munro Live I've got the whole topic covered.

"theres girls in this class"
I've had engineering classes... no there aren't.
I was in engineering for 3 years only had girls in my classes twice. Once in CAD and once in phsyics lol
I had a couple in class. Plus they were hot. Some folks get all the gifts.
I was blessed to do mining engineering in China 😂😂 A plethora of females. Now im doing economics and it's worse but I'm a faithful man🤦🏾♂️😂😂
There was 2 in about 200 on my classes
I would've loved a Zilla for the Fiero. DAMN IT~!!!!
13:00 all the r32 posters earned him my respect
Rich talking about cars and my brain just goes "OMG CUTE PUPPY"
You should’ve edited the little UA-cam loading icon when the song pauses😂
I’m enjoying this build. I actually want to take my sisters mini with a blown engine and convert it.
This comment would have been a lot better if you didn’t mention the blown engine tbh
@@luca_sbll this comment would be a lot better if you donated to the gofundme. Tbh
@@EdBoy_HD don’t have much money but maybe I could help a little, link?
Uncle Rich thanks for keeping Leenda and the puppy around.
Simp
@@anantsharma738 God forbid a girl would like puppies and the support of someone having a job.
Rumor has that this is Rich’s wife and he’s trolling you all.
Nope. His ring has been gone for a few videos. This man is divorced or going through one.
@@TonytheYorkie Nah. He still has the house. Usually guys lose the house.
She’s got a white late 00s civic and I’ve never seen it in a previous video
@@shawnerz98 That's very true in 98% of the cases. I heard about a few situations where they get to keep it. I guess it all depends on judge and situation.
Y’all gossip worst then old men in front of a general store. Maybe he took off his ring because he works with his hands with machinery.
Thank you for making a reasonable and attainable build for us financially unfortunate.
Don't forget the rear suspension bolts break randomly
The sunroofs and windshield cowls leak
The windshields crack randomly
The transaxles fail....
All that is still on this car.
I'm just reciting the ex BMW mechanic in this video
Love how rich got a new ASSistant, wonder how big wife feels about. I guess she may not care as he's now just following the click bait formula. Maybe ED can get Nikki for his videos
Well it's better than a lot of other content where the click bait is never even in the video. I'd say his click bait to content ratio is pretty good!
I’d say his titles aren’t clickbait, they are legit titles.
If the wife objects because of insecurity issues then well, that's no bueno anyway.
Is this how it is? Bunch of guys who just follow what their wife/girlfriend says and thinks? All Pussy whooped and scared?
I Probably should have put a lol since no one detect my joke and sarcasm, it's a New England thing we're the nicest assholes you could meet
In other words, the Mini is a UA-camr's dream car:. neverending content.
I8, mini, vespa next? Or a scooter!!
I want to know in what fucking state can he pay less than $1,500 for a working and driving mini Cooper
HERE is the Original Semitic Text, YOU REALLY NEED TO READ THIS
YaH The Heavenly FATHER was Who they Crucified for our sins and “HERE IS THE PROOF”
From the Ancient Semitic Scroll:
"Yad He Vav He" is what Moses wrote, when Moses asked YaH His Name (Exodus 3)
Ancient Semitic Direct Translation
Yad - "Behold The Hand"
He - "Behold the Breath"
Vav - "Behold The NAIL"
my R53 have non of those problem, lets hope it stays that way, I love my car
7:35 keep throwing your cutch disc on the ground like that Rich and it won't be much good!
That transition tho! I've watched a lot of youtube over the years and that has to be the smoothest transition into a sponsor ad i've ever seen.
