Radio chatter: worried about no platform at Murrayville, 27:20 What's this we see? *It's a station platform at Murrayville!!!* Amaaaaazzzzziiiiinnnnnggggg!!!!!
The track ends abruptly about 800 metres west of the silos, just before the previous level crossing with the Mallee Highway. The unused BG track remains largely in situ further west. Talk about break of gauge.
victoria made a point of not going to the border because the victorian ports would lose grain train business because adelaide is closer than melbourne.
It's sad to see the once-great city of Danyo reduced to no more than a level crossing and the benighted memories of a few old codgers. We will not see its like in our lifetimes. Murrayville has a lot to answer for.
Well spotted sir. He came from nowhere and there were no trees, shrubbery or buildings around he could have been hiding behind. Must be the tank water the locals have to drink!
Frustrating seeing these videos. In Victoria you have all these lines and so much choice. In South Australia, all the lines were closed and ripped up. You should consider yourselves very lucky to still have what you've got. Very jealous...
Great video. I stayed at Murrayville around 1968 when checking some power lines for the SECV.

@@neilforbes416 well.... almost a platform. 🤔👍
a common thing that happens on all Victorian passenger trains
@ It's a platform, alright. Just a bit shabby-looking.
@ This is the country area of south Australia this is what you expect its not something you find in a city.
I have travelled the Mallee highway many times.
23:27 Over to the left, that looks like a radio station's transmitter mast(station unknown, AM or FM?).
@@neilforbes416 it's possible. 🤔🤔

Hey, I’m making my first train video. How do I find the train number, and the route like Vl23 how to find hem both?😊
Isn’t the train route number like VL23, isn’t the the 4 numbers on the front of the train, but just the Last 2? Where do I find the train number then?
