Doug German Many of the Noise Ninja features aren't clear to use. I'm glad you pointed out some tricks you use for processing. By all means if you have any more tricks on Noise Ninja let us know!
Because well I was taking it the camera decided to rotate the darks as I was taking them vertically. My version of photoshop won't take my new cameras raws to rotate them. I havn't been able to find another program where you can edit the photo and save it as a raw. iPhoto can save as a tiff but not raw, not gimp, tried a couple others.
Sorry for the late response Florian - didn't get notification of this comment. Don't seem to get notification of any comments now! Agreed, Noise Ninja costs, but this isn't meant to be a NN vid, it's a tutorial on noise reduction, using whatever package is available - I just happen to use NN. It certainly works using PS standard noise reduction process, so I guess it would work using whatever noise reduction package is used :)
Nice tutorial on Noise Ninja. Well done! Thanks!
Thanks for that.:) Wasn't meant to be a tutorial on Noise Ninja, but if it fits, that's good - saves me having to do one later :)

Not even sure I'm using it right, but I'll do some research :)
Hey, is it okay to use a JPEG as a dark frame if that's your only choice. All my light frame are Raw.
Hi Ben. Better to use RAW if you can, but a jpg will do if you have no choice. Why can't you take RAW darks?

Hi Ben. Contact me via email. Can't put email addresses in these comments, but search budgetastro and you'll find it :)
You might wanna add, that Noise Ninja is by no means a cheap little plug in, but costs >120$...

is it 80 dollars for noise ninja?
Hi Dave. $129 last time I looked, and it's now Photo Ninja, not Noise Ninja, which is a shame :)
Still a bit pricy
