@@HaisteComputerRepair ah, frankly speaking as I am aging, my eyes do so too, 1080p on 12.5 inches display can be cumbersome to find a good scaling sweet spot (for Linux DEs, was fixed rather recently!). But anyway, shame that past gen Thinkpads are coming often with mediocre TF screens.
Picked a used one up off Craigslist 4 years ago in pretty good condition. Screen ghosted for some reason (just like my ex wife) so it was replaced by one on Amazon that works great at 1080p, like the original one. Put a 256 GB Samsung 840 in there and a 16 GB kit I had laying around. Has a great nipple on the TrackPoint- I think it's an OE low profile one. Replaced the bezel with a shiny, new one. Internal battery has 88% capacity! 3-cell external battery has 74% capacity and perform quite well still using the CPU Power Manager shell extension for Gnome to crank the clocks down. Strongly recommend that extension by the way. I have an OE 72 Wh 6-cell battery coming tomorrow, which I'm very excited to try out. I like to put the X260 on my belly in bed and even with the clocks turned down, the CPU exhaust makes me get boob sweat; I suspect that the big boy battery is going to provide some nice clearance for that usage mode. X1 carbon might have a better display panel. Also a bit larger being 14" RAM is soldered on to the motherboard, so if you get the 8GB version there is no way to upgrade to 16. Seems that 16 is the max. So, the display panel and the RAM capacity (x260 having one DIMM slot) seem to be the main differences between the two.

Well, you could install 1 x 16GB DDR4 RAM stick in the 1 x available slot. Do not bother going over 2400MHz as speeds will cap at 2133MHz. I wouldn't rely on this laptop for gaming due to it's limitations on RAM and weaker integrated graphics. Maybe some retro gaming or lighter gaming than something like GTA V. Valorant would probably run on low settings and lowered resolution, if you had nothing else to use.
If you're buying one, you will have to ask the seller. Used L-Ion batteries are really dependent on the previous owner's use case. If it were new, it would be advertised as 23Wh for both of the 3-cell batteries shown in this video.
The fan might not be spinning at all depending on how much heat the system is generating. It won't spin while under a certain temperature for power efficiency and noise levels. Unless your laptop is overheating and shutting down (or feeling very hot) you're probably fine.
