- This ride is a serious fat burn and endurance builder and is great for any beginner looking to boost your workouts!
I have created this ride to help take you to the next level. The first few times through this workout you may find you need to take extra breaks and that is 100% ok! This ride was meant to help you get stronger and move onto intermediate and advanced levels. What really counts is that you showed up, so keep kicking butt!
NOTE This ride is structured at a higher intensity level than some of my other beginner rides, the reason being is to help increase metabolism, boost your cardiac output, and also challenge your body in a new way. As always, listen to your body, increase recovery time, lower speed and/or resistance, and modify as you need. This is your ride so make it count!
This ride is more than just a workout, it’s going to show you what you are made of, help you forget about stress, and prove to you just how powerful you are!

If you are doing a Spin class on a stationary bike or exercise bike instead of a spin bike and prefer to stay in the saddle, DO THIS:
2nd position: increase your speed! Try anywhere between 5-15 RPMs.
3rd position: increase your resistance and try and keep the same cadence.

I don’t usually make public comments but what you said to us at the end of this workout, brought me to tears… I am in my mid-fifties, a recent empty-nester, over weight and trying to put my health first for the first time in my life …I have felt fairly intimidated and scared to keep up with what I perceive as the ‘more-in-shape-and-capable’ riders who have subscribed to your channel - I love your workouts, your energy (and your play lists!) but have felt I was not ever able to go more than the :20min beginner ride… I just finished this entire workout and hearing you tell us about your journey made me feel not so alone in this - thank you for sharing your stories and for keeping us going (… ‘just pushing play means I’m changing’ is my favorite quote from you so far)… what a gift you are and as I slowly hoist myself off the bike, I feel - even for a split second - that I will find my way to Me again and that can keep going… and it’s because of your words and honesty and belief in those of us who are starting out by giving us the ability to build up self-confidence, endurance & strength - can’t thank you enuf for it all!❤️

Lynne I’m right there with you....Kayleigh’s workouts are so mentally doable that they keep me physically striving. Your comment about finding your way back to self was spot on. At 59, I am finally putting me first. I’ve tried spinning workouts before but Kayleigh’s make sense. I’ve been following her channel for a week.....I’m sleeping better, I’m breathing better, my posture is improving and I’ve dropped four pounds. The road back to me is the best road trip I’ve ever begun. You’ve got this!!!!!
Oh Lynne, your post moved me! I’m so happy that you are putting yourself first and finding that confidence. My daughter is finding her independence as well and it has been really hard on me since working from home through this pandemic. We will get through it and be stronger thanks to Kaleigh & Jason. I've been joining in on your 30 minute rides for 65 days. I started here in beginner, totally flagging at half way mark never hitting the speeds, never managing all the standing. Came back on to beginner class today, by accident!! And Oh wow, I was not only meeting speeds, but upping resistance and easily keeping up , in fact wanting alot more! I am amazed, because I did not know how far I have come already. So I need to say a huge thankyou for doing all these amazing rides, and for all your encouraging words. I know I CAN keep going now, and I totally intend to!!

Hi! I've been on a weight-loss journey since March of last year and have lost 255 lbs. I've been walking a lot and eating well, but I had been wanting to try something new. I tried lifting for a while, but then decided to buy an exercise bike at the beginning of April. I've been following your beginner workouts, and I really love it! This month of April, I lost 10 lbs! 😮. Also, I just completed this workout! 😭🔥

I bought my bike Sept 9 this year then started the 20 min work out from one of your videos. I started from 20 mins, then 30, 45, 50 then 60 mins. I stopped October 13, after getting sick from Pfizer booster shot. I was really weak and couldn’t even move the pedals. From when I started last September I lost 18 lbs. Today I went back to working out again. I finished the whole 30 mins and I swear it rained sweat in my room again! Thank you for all your videos. I am excited to work out again tomorrow. 😘
This was such an amazing workout!! Thank you! I'm a sleep deprived mom and didn't know how a 30 minute hill workout would go because I stick to 20 minute beginners most of the time, and this showed me that I AM a butt kicker! ❤️

This was great for me. I'm still a beginner but trying to push to intermediate intensity, and this video showed me that I'm almost there! Besides the side-stich I got right before the final sprint, I completed every challenge of this ride. Also, I've lost 18lbs by cycling with you over the past 12 weeks. Only 32lbs left to go until I reach my goal!

Holy cr*p. For a beginners ride, with a couple of adjustments, that was a perfect HIIT ride for those who have 30 minutes before it turns dark in my garage !
Subbed this baby in for Day 35 ! Glad I did ! Challenged me for sure ! I see the finish line 5 days away and my reward is the confidence to randomly pick a workout and press " let's do it "!

This was just what I needed.I was doing your intermediate 30 to45 minute rides. Then over a month ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my lower back and started physical therapy. Today was first day to try cycling again. I moved my seat closer to bars to lean forward less. This ride was great. Let's see how I feel tomorrow!

I have to agree with the other comments. I know this is an old video of yours, but I’ve been watching your cycling videos for a few weeks now and today I chose this video. Really great..2nd fave beginners ride..felt physically and mentally enriched after this class all last week and today..challenging but so doable..together with resistance training in my late 50's feel stronger and better in my summer clothes always a bonus..thankyou :)

I was extremely fit and became very ill, very near fatally. Now at age of 62 getting fitter thanks to Kayleigh and these videos of hers. So far lost 60lbs in weight, not only can touch my toes but place hands flat on the floor in front of my toes and for the first time can sprint consistently in the mid 80s. Perseverance on my part but would not have achieved this without Kayleigh and her encouragement and enthusiasm.

A month ago I did this ride and was hard because I am not into rolling hills and climbs. I am Team Sprint all the way but I am definitely stronger. I was able to get through this workout even with the increasing the resistance throughout the workout. Rolling hills a growing on me. Great workout for cross training for indoor rowing.

Amazing ride!!. Had me looking forward to the rolling hills sections.
So dummy Dave was chopping ice 2 weeks ago, so I slip forward and the pole nails me in my upper left rib cage. OMG I bruised a muscle and been at a complete standstill. No skiing, nothing. I felt better today so I did this class couldn't get in the 3rd position but I was able to stand.....I wouldn't wish this on anyone!! Thanks!!

I didn’t quite complete this today but I do have a sore throat and cough and if I’m honest I’m just not fit enough.
