As a Christian young lady (21), I recently realized that it is even affecting me and how I think of my dressing. Even in the house of God, Christian girls will be dressing less modestly small small. It’s very subtle but everything is shorter, tighter and more open. So now, I’m thinking, especially at my age where I’m meeting people, that guys find you more attractive or that “you look your age” when you dress more open. And I’ve subconsciously been feeling that I need to wear shorter things. I realized this and have to actively correct my mind to avoid normalizing indecency. I stand by modesty and will not go anywhere else.
As I have been getting closer to God as a teenager, I completely stand with these opinions. Thank God for touching my heart and leading me to the path of everlasting life.

That filter point, girl! 1000% agreed with you. For myself, I really avoid using it. I don't want to arrive at a point where I appreciate my filter face more than my real face and create a useless complex 😒
I don’t usually write comments on any social media platforms, but I’m gladly writing this, cause I got to see a different version of you that’s so like me, and I love it. I was smiling and agreeing throughout. The truth must be said but always in love. Thanks for sharing this one with us
7:04 using filters can go very wrong. mostly when you get so comfortable with filters that you cannot take a picture or never feel good, without them. So agree.
I trust you to not have said anything less and I’m super proud of you. The audacity 😊 to add, “Decent dresses even makes you look more classy”, these things can not be overemphasized ❤
And the annoying part is after the routine they will still use filter To film the results of their 1000 steps body care routine. I stumbled on this video but it’s quite refreshing to find that someone shares these unpopular Opinions and is not afraid to share it. ❤❤
One thing I've learnt over the years is that nobody can actually say how to keep marriage...humans are different with different behaviors trully you can only speak from experience or other experiences but don't feel like you can predict or give perfect advice..Makes a lot of sense
On one hand, I agree with you because of the perspective you might be coming from. But in all truth, there really are secrets and wisdoms on how to keep a marriage. Marriage is a godly institution, not formed by man, government or society. And just like many others areas of life, if we can only be humble as humans to learn and submit to this wisdom, every marriage can work out fine. But humans are just too self conceited and stubborn to submit to truth, we’re too emotion driven and always want to have control of our lives, hence our constant downfall. It takes following the instructional manual for anything to work successfully, and same goes for marriage. God bless you
You are so FUNNY! 😃 this video was a joy to watch. I resonate with all you talked about, especially dressing, cyber bullying and the newly married. While the current culture of near nakedness is rampant, there's still dignity in dressing modestly. Infact, modest fashion is classy, appealing and respectful of one's own self. I feel like cyber bullying is a result of jealousy and a lack of originality; people just follow trends and don't think for themselves. People are so easily influenced by a negative comment they change their narrative. As someone who's been married almost a decade, I totally agree with your point. The first years can be great, but there's a lot more insight to gain after many more.
You are so right about what you're saying. Some women have even moved to wearing very exposed wedding dresses. Where are we going⁉️ Where are our values as women? Are we not worth anything anymore? Bit I bless God for women who are taking notice and saying"no" to this trend of dressing half naked. Thanks so much for the topic💯👍
I’m glad that there are still quite a number of us ladies who are still embracing Decency and Modesty with our full chests. It doesn't make you any less beautiful. I completely agree with all you said. The takeaway for me is that you can disagree with harming the ego and personality of the person you disagree with.
Quite a number? A majority of women are dressing "decently". Just because influencers are dressing how they want doesn't mean there are just a few decent women around. You aren't special or extinct. Also what you call decent is actually indecent in another person's eye. You wearing wigs in indecent to another person.
The funny thing is some content creators will put a Bible verse at the start of their videos. Only to to find them in Bikinis with their big butt cheeks showing for 1000s of people to watch. It’s like people will do anything to get views on social media. Thank you Maraji. I support all your unpopular opinions with full chest too ❤️
It's rare to find the truth. Now people want to hear what they want. I'm glad I watched this. Now, I have the boldness to continue my talks especially on decency. 🎉😊

Honestly, I am so joyful listening to you. You really hit the nail rightly. I like the fact that you did this unpopular opinion because people need to know that some of us still know and stand for the truth. God's grace to you Maraji😘
Those short clips in-between really made the whole thing funny, most especially the part you mentioned commotion😂😂😂😂😂😂... Women really need to know that they can still look beautiful while maintaining decency. As a woman, dressing indecently doesn't add to your beauty, you are just showing people what is meant to be covered/private...
To see you talk like this makes me more relieved that I am not alone in this trail of thoughts because these things need to be said. Many abnormalities are becoming normal and the normal and correct ways looking abnormal. Especially about newly Christian married couples!!!!! Whenever I talk about it, it looks as though I am the hater or something to people.
I totally agree, I had this classmate from secondary school, we were very cool, cheering each other, not necessarily friends but there was no bad blood. She had her birthday shoot and everywhere was open.. I say Wetin be this? No be me go post this kain thing. I didn’t post her and she blocked me🤣🤣 it felt very weird posting it.
Imma come back and watch this video proper because I haven’t got enough time now but for the part you talked about people being okay with calling themselves an a ashawo but pick offense when others do it is a little tricky. Now I understand you and what you’re saying but look at it from this standpoint, black Americans are okay with calling themselves the N word but don’t want others or “white people” to, gay people are okay with calling themselves faggots but don’t like other people to. Now I personally think the reason is because there’s little to no derogatory undertone when using those slurs. It is a reclaiming of the word and detaching it from its original context. They call it ashawo cloth because they are awear it’s slutty/sexy and revealing and in a way edgy, they don’t call themselves ashawo or the clothes “ashawo cloth” as a way to degrade themselves but rather to uplift themselves and their attitude towards the clothes but when others do it, it’s almost always in a derogatory tone which isn’t welcomed. Just what I think.
This could not have been more timely for me especially after your third point which was excessive bath routine. I literally thought I was a weirdo earlier today for just using soap and sponge but thankfully someone just had to say that it’s perfectly normal. P.s: I still don’t have any skin deformities 😊
Maraji I have a confession☝️ or rather a testimony 😆😂🥰... There is indeed “beauty" , as in B-E-A-U-T-Y in modesty".😘 I have tasted and I have felt it for myself. NO turning back🤞
Thank you!!! It's really getting out of hand! And then when you call it out you hear things like "You are jealous" or "Don't judge" or "This isn't 1800s" It's on us women to continue to call this out (Titus 2:3-4)
Some Girls these days seek validation from two-faced individuals. Sometimes it's better to be hated by a few than to be praised by many, who seek relevance by association. Thank you so much for this message Maraji!
My friends always ask me why I love you so much and I've always known I connect with Maraji on another level. We share a lot of values. Thank you, Gloria❤

The little clips in between are taking me out 😂😂😅 Nonetheless, you’re spot on and I totally agree especially the indecency part….it’s really appalling how girls pride themselves in “Ashawo” dresses these days and may God help us all The excessive bathing part though😂 Pre-shower, In-shower, post-shower bla bla bla….some even use scrubbing brush😩
It’s amazing how I agree with everything you said. I’ve always thought that inexperienced couples shouldn’t share certain advices like it’s one shoe size that fits all. People should share their experiences and leave them as that. Their experiences! Of course, hoping that it may work for some other person. Please, do not give me advices on marriage that you’re only a year in. Well, except I asked you to, of course 😉 Anyway, I give dating advises on my channel. I believe that’s okay because I’m married already. I’ve Been in the dating phase, passed it, and now married and I’ve decided to let ladies know how to not enter marriage that will show them shege 😂 (Nigerian slang for “a hard time”). Keep sharing your opinions, Maraji. We’re fully behind you, mama.
I agree with everything you said ..........its now I realise why I've been following you for years!!!!!! Thank you Maraji, my motto is always Jennifer love yourself exactly the way God created you, if there's anything within your power to improve, you can improve, if not life moves on. Secondly, be kind to everyone whether they deserve the kindness or not, just be kind.
The nakedness one they call it “owning their bodies” They also say men shouldn’t stare but they wear nothing so not only do they wear nonsense even a mad person will stare😊
As a growing Christian I also realized the whole decency thing and it’s honestly not the easiest thing cause I’m an influencer aswell, most of my clothes are like that and I can’t just wake up and buy a new wardrobe, I’d have to take it step by step, 2 pieces here 2 pieces there, and I’m also really scared about changing my “aesthetic” what if it doesn’t look good on me, what if it doesn’t fit me as a person and all that, God is still working on me sha, it’s just not that easy to flip the switch, it’s not an excuse I will still definitely work on my decency it’s just not as easy as you say it
ua-cam.com/video/RVHmxsJTH8A/v-deo.htmlsi=DHR--8RFZDqPFHhQ perhaps this video can help you in the process Og parley is an influencer too and she talks on how she had to adjust her wardrobe and aesthetic as she found Christ.❤
I am so glad that I didn't grow up in this generation. I really sympathize with the youth of this generation. No empathy, no sympathy, no kindness, no Modesty. Thanks for sharing, and owning your opinions with your full chest.
That Nakedness and Christian marriage part is so on point. Every one wants to lecture about marriage and they keep introducing new worldly thing and calling it Christian marriage.
Maraji I hardly comment but I love your topic today. I like how you owned up to making some mistakes in the past, filter and disagreeing with respect. We are different people and we have different views, that's what makes life colorful. I will send that part about hyperpigmentation to my friend know she means well but she's always disturbing my life about my body being lighter from my chest down, but I feel its normal, my face, arms and neck are always exposed to sun, even sunscreen cannot curb that.
There's a time I wanted to buy a turtle neck top that I wanted. Omo na so e turn gulder altimate search o, I almost enter all the whole boutique looking for just one top it wasn't easy o, why because there's no more decent clothes again in boutiques I swear. i had to settle for okay own.
I completely agree with you. I was being to think if I was okay by not being a fan of those kinds of dresses becasuseeee the way people wear it these days ehnnn😂😂.. And that filter part stray bullet hit me 😂😂💔but you’re right. Good job 👍🏻 ❤
Continue to speak the truth ❤…. They dress like because of insecurity, low self esteem and lack of respect for themselves, many of them are crying badly on the inside because they know the truth that can set them free but very afraid to break out of it. My prayer for this culture is to be bold and honest and surround themselves with those who will tell them the truth and have a relationship with Jesus is the only way ❤ Thanks for speaking the truth unashamedly and unapologetically
This is so true. I grew up in a home where I was taught to dress properly. I tried wearing an outfit that was showing a lot of skin out one time because I see a lot of girls do it. I was so uncomfortable. I realized it's because I'm not used to it, wasn't brought up that way. People are out here praising women who dress half naked and all but they know they will never let their sister do such a thing or their child. If you talk they will attack you and say you are doing women against women. No one is asking you drees like an hijab woman and cover your whole body. You can dress decently and still be a head turner.
I didn't even think I was going to watch this video but I'm so glad I watched it. I actually came here to check for a Christmas song and I saw the video while just scrolling and I'm like, I no too like people's Vlogs jare but your content is CONTENTING. People are actually beginning to treat this modesty thing as if it's trash and I'm like Broo, how are you even comfortable in what you're wearing? Personally Sha, I don't care about what people think about my covering up even in the hostel. When they ask me about some clothes, I tell them I'm not comfortable showing my body and I would not wear it because I do not stand for it. And I am confident in those clothes. I feel like this alot of these things just stem from people not being able to build their confidence around what they stand for. I actually support everything you said in this video and there are a lot of things to say but I am so grateful for one thing, THAT YOU'RE STILL A VOICE IN THIS GENERATION ❤

@@realdavidjones1623This 🙌👏 I wear modeste clothes because I feel good in them. And I know there are women who do not dress as modestly because they feel great doing that. One way or the other is perfectly fine as long as you yourself is okay. Others are free to disagree...thats on them.
"Yassssss queeen" and why the AfricaMagic Epic sound 😂😂😂.
Thank you Maraji, thank you so much ❤
That filter point, girl! 1000% agreed with you.
For myself, I really avoid using it. I don't want to arrive at a point where I appreciate my filter face more than my real face and create a useless complex 😒
Very true, and it really gets to that, appreciating unauthentic looks more than the natural look.
So agree.
Yessssss
I trust you to not have said anything less and I’m super proud of you. The audacity 😊 to add, “Decent dresses even makes you look more classy”, these things can not be overemphasized ❤
First point is just so spot on! I’ve given up on people. Can we TALK about these naked pregnancy reveal photos????
Craziest thing. Pregnancy has been desecrated. Also, oversharing your kids' life on social media while there are pedos lurking around.
Yes those naked pregnancy pics for public view are too much!
Pregnancy photoshoot is something else now....we can still be decent and creative!!!
Your opinions are on point plus you delivered it with all simplicity and mixing it with humor. I love you!
Opinions that were once popular but are now becoming extinct 😢...
I stand by my values and morals all day!!!!
Big ups MJ❤
And the annoying part is after the routine they will still use filter To film the results of their 1000 steps body care routine. I stumbled on this video but it’s quite refreshing to find that someone shares these unpopular Opinions and is not afraid to share it. ❤❤
😂😂
Say na filter😂😂
😂😂😂
God bless you
@@thesower6577i'm sorry but this is SO DUMB😂 Marriage is man made lmao, and you said it's not from society???? Lmao, y'all never know what you say
Maraji please make this a thread!!!!
I’m here for it💯
I can absolutely relate with your unpopular opinion.
You are so right about what you're saying.
Some women have even moved to wearing very exposed wedding dresses. Where are we going⁉️
Where are our values as women? Are we not worth anything anymore?
Bit I bless God for women who are taking notice and saying"no" to this trend of dressing half naked.
Thanks so much for the topic💯👍
I’m glad that there are still quite a number of us ladies who are still embracing Decency and Modesty with our full chests. It doesn't make you any less beautiful.
I completely agree with all you said. The takeaway for me is that you can disagree with harming the ego and personality of the person you disagree with.
Spot on, about time 😢 people start speaking up so younger people are not consumed.
Quite a number? A majority of women are dressing "decently". Just because influencers are dressing how they want doesn't mean there are just a few decent women around. You aren't special or extinct. Also what you call decent is actually indecent in another person's eye. You wearing wigs in indecent to another person.
Any lady that still appreciates and practices decency and modesty is a rare gem before her behavior can be checked.
That's why I so love Taooma's style. Fully covered yet very beautiful!!
The funny thing is some content creators will put a Bible verse at the start of their videos. Only to to find them in Bikinis with their big butt cheeks showing for 1000s of people to watch. It’s like people will do anything to get views on social media. Thank you Maraji. I support all your unpopular opinions with full chest too ❤️
😂😂😂
GRWM to church half naked lol
It's rare to find the truth. Now people want to hear what they want. I'm glad I watched this. Now, I have the boldness to continue my talks especially on decency. 🎉😊
❤❤❤❤❤ so happy to hear these, been feeling isolated when I give this same opinions. The world is going crazy, and those of that think otherwise or are “based” are now the weirdos or extremis. Kudos
Feeling isolated? Pls don’t be
Find your community with same value system and intent👍🏽❤️
Stay blessed
It already crazy amd it even weirder
This video earn you my subscription! Sis you've spoken our mind(Christian girls and woman).I love you for been unapologetic for what you stand for.more Grace!
I'm going to subscribe right away
It’s the way this video is giving “mummy Maraji” vibes. Such wisdom! I love to see this on you. 🙌🏾🙌🏾
I’m absolutely in agreement with the modesty opinion . Thank you for being one of those content creators that don’t care to please this liberal society ❤
Did anybody notice how the husband came exactly when she was talking about Marriage 😂. I find it very cute 🥰 how the two of you fight abi yarn, abegg no dey edit this kind jare, more of such, makes it very relatable and sweet😊
As soon as she started talking to him, mommy Glo came out. I felt that "go inside”
I love that you care about theology, I pray that the word would ever wash you 🙏🏾
Honestly, I am so joyful listening to you. You really hit the nail rightly. I like the fact that you did this unpopular opinion because people need to know that some of us still know and stand for the truth.
God's grace to you Maraji😘
Christain couples gather here... i love you mama
I totally agree🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
The hight of indecency these days is crazily annoying and I pray God help us 🙇🏻♂️. God bless you Maraji 🥰
Finally, we're talking about these things confidently. I agree with every point. I love it
I totally agree, I had this classmate from secondary school, we were very cool, cheering each other, not necessarily friends but there was no bad blood. She had her birthday shoot and everywhere was open.. I say Wetin be this? No be me go post this kain thing. I didn’t post her and she blocked me🤣🤣 it felt very weird posting it.
I have never regret being part of your channel
Thank you for changing the narrative
Love from Sierra Leone ❤❤❤
This could be titled “I said what I said come and beat me”😂😂
Hallelujah!!! You have spoken!!! GOD BLESS YOU SISTER,YOU HAVE SAID IT VERY WELL ❤
Recently accepted Christ into my life
Benn following for years and I am glad I did❤
The nose joke is really funny!🤣🤣🤣 "Are you breathing for two?"🤣🤣 Be serious, Maraji!"🤣🤣🤣
This could not have been more timely for me especially after your third point which was excessive bath routine. I literally thought I was a weirdo earlier today for just using soap and sponge but thankfully someone just had to say that it’s perfectly normal.
P.s: I still don’t have any skin deformities 😊
"All to baff" got me 😂😂😂😂
Maraji I have a confession☝️ or rather a testimony 😆😂🥰... There is indeed “beauty" , as in B-E-A-U-T-Y in modesty".😘
I have tasted and I have felt it for myself. NO turning back🤞
OMG😅😅😅 what got me was the shower routine😂🤦🏽♀️ I don't think it's necessary, something simple will go
Maraji is such a beautiful woman. And she seems to know exactly what works for her, makeup, air product and all. ❤
OMG!! That FBI insert took me out 😂😂😂😂😂
Someone finally said all of this .
I am impressed, decency is just the best.
It makes you classic and beautiful.
Thank you!!! It's really getting out of hand! And then when you call it out you hear things like "You are jealous" or "Don't judge" or "This isn't 1800s"
It's on us women to continue to call this out (Titus 2:3-4)
Some Girls these days seek validation from two-faced individuals. Sometimes it's better to be hated by a few than to be praised by many, who seek relevance by association.
Thank you so much for this message Maraji!
If courage was a person! Weldone maraji, you just earner my eternal respect! These topics are “hard “ to talk about because of how sensitive they are.
Proud of you for speaking out especially about the ravaging indecency going on around now.
Someone is finally speaking 😢😢😢… God bless you for airing truth!
We know that Maraji gives all of us good advice to be confident in ourselves ❤
Too wise!!! Well said!!
My friends always ask me why I love you so much and I've always known I connect with Maraji on another level. We share a lot of values. Thank you, Gloria❤
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THESE TRUTHS 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🤍
I LOVE THE DECENCY PART A LOT!
I have loved Maraji unashamedly and she keeps giving me reasons to go on. If I condemn indecent dressing people will attack me because I am a Muslim who naturally covers up. I am happy maraji is doing it, and I confidently support her with my full life🥰🤣
"All to baff?? All to baff?"🤣🤣🤣🤣 abi ask them o
You'll hear them saying I don't care what people think about me or say about me, mehn I care a lot about people think of me I care about my reputation I don't want to give the wrong impression please thank you for talking about it 👏🏾👏🏾❤️
The little clips in between are taking me out 😂😂😅
Nonetheless, you’re spot on and I totally agree especially the indecency part….it’s really appalling how girls pride themselves in “Ashawo” dresses these days and may God help us all
The excessive bathing part though😂
Pre-shower, In-shower, post-shower bla bla bla….some even use scrubbing brush😩
It’s amazing how I agree with everything you said. I’ve always thought that inexperienced couples shouldn’t share certain advices like it’s one shoe size that fits all. People should share their experiences and leave them as that. Their experiences! Of course, hoping that it may work for some other person.
Please, do not give me advices on marriage that you’re only a year in. Well, except I asked you to, of course 😉
Anyway, I give dating advises on my channel.
The advice one is something else 😂
@@thefeminineeye My Sister😅
Modesty and decency is litrelly what GOD wants for us, and you have spoke the truth ,GOD richly bless you!!!
That cyberbullying is something we should curb😭😭😭😭
The nakedness one they call it “owning their bodies” They also say men shouldn’t stare but they wear nothing so not only do they wear nonsense even a mad person will stare😊
As a growing Christian I also realized the whole decency thing and it’s honestly not the easiest thing cause I’m an influencer aswell, most of my clothes are like that and I can’t just wake up and buy a new wardrobe, I’d have to take it step by step, 2 pieces here 2 pieces there, and I’m also really scared about changing my “aesthetic” what if it doesn’t look good on me, what if it doesn’t fit me as a person and all that, God is still working on me sha, it’s just not that easy to flip the switch, it’s not an excuse I will still definitely work on my decency it’s just not as easy as you say it
God help you Sis... Just keep working on it
Sending you hugs and love ❤
ua-cam.com/video/RVHmxsJTH8A/v-deo.htmlsi=DHR--8RFZDqPFHhQ perhaps this video can help you in the process
Og parley is an influencer too and she talks on how she had to adjust her wardrobe and aesthetic as she found Christ.❤
I’m happy you are honest. It’s a work in process, but dressing modestly and decently will always be beautiful. Keep growing in Christ
Please more unpopular opinions, so relatable❤
Spot on with that number 1 point because the world right now makes you feel like you don’t have style if you are decent.
Your husband really married a gem. Very rare to find beautiful ladies like you who are so grounded. Keep it up
'Are you breathing for two?' killed me!!!!!!!🤣🤣
I completely agree with you. I was being to think if I was okay by not being a fan of those kinds of dresses becasuseeee the way people wear it these days ehnnn😂😂.. And that filter part stray bullet hit me 😂😂💔but you’re right. Good job 👍🏻 ❤
All facts‼️‼️‼️ especially the marriage topic💯😭😭
Continue to speak the truth ❤…. They dress like because of insecurity, low self esteem and lack of respect for themselves, many of them are crying badly on the inside because they know the truth that can set them free but very afraid to break out of it.
My prayer for this culture is to be bold and honest and surround themselves with those who will tell them the truth and have a relationship with Jesus is the only way ❤
Thanks for speaking the truth unashamedly and unapologetically
This is so true. I grew up in a home where I was taught to dress properly. I tried wearing an outfit that was showing a lot of skin out one time because I see a lot of girls do it. I was so uncomfortable. I realized it's because I'm not used to it, wasn't brought up that way. People are out here praising women who dress half naked and all but they know they will never let their sister do such a thing or their child. If you talk they will attack you and say you are doing women against women. No one is asking you drees like an hijab woman and cover your whole body. You can dress decently and still be a head turner.
I wish it didn't end ....❤
"are you breathing for two?!"😂
I support with my full chest .
Thank you Maraji❤❤❤
I actually support everything you said in this video and there are a lot of things to say but I am so grateful for one thing,
THAT YOU'RE STILL A VOICE IN THIS GENERATION ❤
