As a Christian young lady (21), I recently realized that it is even affecting me and how I think of my dressing. Even in the house of God, Christian girls will be dressing less modestly small small. It’s very subtle but everything is shorter, tighter and more open. So now, I’m thinking, especially at my age where I’m meeting people, that guys find you more attractive or that “you look your age” when you dress more open. And I’ve subconsciously been feeling that I need to wear shorter things. I realized this and have to actively correct my mind to avoid normalizing indecency. I stand by modesty and will not go anywhere else.

    I enjoyed listening this 💯
It’s refreshing to hear this from someone with a platform (who didn’t care about the cancel culture) who knows the power they have (due to their platform) to impact truth into others.
If you talk they call you “Holy Mary”, “Assistant/Deputy Jesus”
They ask you, “Who are you to judge?”
They tell you, “He without sin cast the first stone” “God is about the inside; not the outside”
They forget that if there’s God on the inside it will show on the outside.
Something else I love is that you spoke about dressing not from the angle of to please people but to respect yourself.
About 13 years ago, I went on holidays to Nigeria and people were surprised that I came from abroad but dressed so simple and modest. I remember having a conversation with a pastor in Nigeria and it come up and I explained to him that even if I was not a Christina I will still dress the way I dress; it’s not just about my faith but about my dignity and self respect.
I subscribed ages because I love how funny you are and I’m pleasantly surprised about this very content. I don’t know why I’m only seeing this 5 days later but I glad I saw it today and I look forward to more. I’m addicted the listening to wise words and they were many wise words in this.

Marriage is a godly institution, not formed by man, government or society. And just like many others areas of life, if we can only be humble as humans to learn and submit to this wisdom, every marriage can work out fine. But humans are just too self conceited and stubborn to submit to truth, we’re too emotion driven and always want to have control of our lives, hence our constant downfall. It takes following the instructional manual for anything to work successfully, and same goes for marriage. God bless you

I feel like cyber bullying is a result of jealousy and a lack of originality; people just follow trends and don't think for themselves. People are so easily influenced by a negative comment they change their narrative.

Imma come back and watch this video proper because I haven’t got enough time now but for the part you talked about people being okay with calling themselves an a ashawo but pick offense when others do it is a little tricky. Now I understand you and what you’re saying but look at it from this standpoint, black Americans are okay with calling themselves the N word but don’t want others or “white people” to, gay people are okay with calling themselves faggots but don’t like other people to. Now I personally think the reason is because there’s little to no derogatory undertone when using those slurs. It is a reclaiming of the word and detaching it from its original context. They call it ashawo cloth because they are awear it’s slutty/sexy and revealing and in a way edgy, they don’t call themselves ashawo or the clothes “ashawo cloth” as a way to degrade themselves but rather to uplift themselves and their attitude towards the clothes but when others do it, it’s almost always in a derogatory tone which isn’t welcomed.
    Just what I think.

It’s amazing how I agree with everything you said. I’ve always thought that inexperienced couples shouldn’t share certain advices like it’s one shoe size that fits all. People should share their experiences and leave them as that. Their experiences! Of course, hoping that it may work for some other person.
Please, do not give me advices on marriage that you’re only a year in. Well, except I asked you to, of course 😉
Anyway, I give dating advises on my channel. I believe that’s okay because I’m married already. I’ve Been in the dating phase, passed it, and now married and I’ve decided to let ladies know how to not enter marriage that will show them shege 😂 (Nigerian slang for “a hard time”).

As a growing Christian I also realized the whole decency thing and it’s honestly not the easiest thing cause I’m an influencer aswell, most of my clothes are like that and I can’t just wake up and buy a new wardrobe, I’d have to take it step by step, 2 pieces here 2 pieces there, and I’m also really scared about changing my “aesthetic” what if it doesn’t look good on me, what if it doesn’t fit me as a person and all that, God is still working on me sha, it’s just not that easy to flip the switch, it’s not an excuse I will still definitely work on my decency it’s just not as easy as you say it

We are different people and we have different views, that's what makes life colorful. I will send that part about hyperpigmentation to my friend know she means well but she's always disturbing my life about my body being lighter from my chest down, but I feel its normal, my face, arms and neck are always exposed to sun, even sunscreen cannot curb that.

This is so true. I grew up in a home where I was taught to dress properly. I tried wearing an outfit that was showing a lot of skin out one time because I see a lot of girls do it. I was so uncomfortable. I realized it's because I'm not used to it, wasn't brought up that way. People are out here praising women who dress half naked and all but they know they will never let their sister do such a thing or their child. If you talk they will attack you and say you are doing women against women. No one is asking you drees like an hijab woman and cover your whole body. You can dress decently and still be a head turner.

I didn't even think I was going to watch this video but I'm so glad I watched it. I actually came here to check for a Christmas song and I saw the video while just scrolling and I'm like, I no too like people's Vlogs jare but your content is CONTENTING. People are actually beginning to treat this modesty thing as if it's trash and I'm like Broo, how are you even comfortable in what you're wearing? Personally Sha, I don't care about what people think about my covering up even in the hostel. When they ask me about some clothes, I tell them I'm not comfortable showing my body and I would not wear it because I do not stand for it. And I am confident in those clothes. I feel like this alot of these things just stem from people not being able to build their confidence around what they stand for. I actually support everything you said in this video and there are a lot of things to say but I am so grateful for one thing,
THAT YOU'RE STILL A VOICE IN THIS GENERATION ❤
