He is running both heroics and frostcraft so the damage is nuts. Mine do over 200 with head broken with just frostcraft. Heroics is a little risky for me. Fastest I beat him was a little over 12 minutes.

Can you elaborate on the build a bit? I copied it and tried it out on Zinogre (without Heroics) and my damage numbers are nowhere near those spins (205 max). Why run Frostcraft over regular fatalis in this particular scenario, also considering Velkhana having no weakness to a build with Ice attack 6.
Becuz he does a hit and run gameplay not to be hit so frostcraft is better in this case also his dmg Come from felyne heroics it's a really powerful dmg buff
Hey i was curious, at 4:23 whenever he hits Velka with the hunting horn, it does like another tick of damage (its the best way i can describe what im seeing) its almost like hes hitting her twice, and the first swing at that time stamp it appeared to be a miss (maybe it hit idk) and it still did damage. Im just a little confused and was wondering if im seeing things, or is there something about the hunting horn i havent learned yet. Hopefully someone can teach me it 😇 P.S amazing run btw!!
@@Dredabeast95 they're wrong, it's not those moves he didn't have them cure up. It's just a property hh has when you use recital with a song queued up, doesn't matter what song.

Ok, I feel so noob but I have to ask this: this isn't the first time I see speedrunners shoot at the vitalilies with the slinger in Elder Recess, but I've yet to understand why though. What's the practical advantage in doing so exactly?

What about Velk not flying away as he usually does? Is it time-triggered or damage-triggered? I thought the latter, that's why I'm wondering how he/Amadeus/they are capable of keeping the monster in the same place.
@@CapitanSonaglio I think they MIGHT also be against TA speedrun rules to use (don't do those too often so I'm not 100% familiar with those) so if they are, they're setting them off on purpose without using them so their run still counts. On the 2nd question, it depends sometimes. Monsters have a path they'll take around the map and the next area and/or when they'll leave can depend on how much health they have left. You can kinda steer them if you're doing good DPS and not wasting time letting monsters run around the area.

oh hell yeah. you have even bigger alatreon recovery time to do more combos and you have lots of times you are running around regenerating Frostcraft
