This popped up in my news feed after my wedding a few weeks ago We did a grilled cheese food truck, limited it to 3 options (a regular style, spicy cajun chicken, and a sweet fruit and brie) with a choice of sides It. Was. AWESOME! Truck parked really close to the venue, limited options made things go by super quick and they made sure to serve the wedding party first. Also meant no worries about having to clean the kitchen on site. Once they were done, my MoH finalized payment with them before they moved along!
Jennifer Smart hi! I’m thinking about doing this to save money because calculating everything food alone would be 15k at the venue me and my partner love... I plan on having in n out as one of them and like two their ones BUT since we wouldn’t do catering package with them idk if the other things like servers and plates and fri is would be included. How did you talk about that to your venue? Was t still included but at an added cost?
I’ve been to parties that last a long time and they brought in food trucks at a few hours after the dancing started as a kind of refuel for the rest of the night of dancing. (This parties can last into the early morning hours) I really liked that idea
Thinking of using a food truck for the rehearsal dinner. We won't make the minimum amount, but if we use the same catering company for the reception the next day, they may let us roll over the unused amount to put toward the reception costs.
I went to a food truck wedding once and timing was a HUGE problem. I know that the bride bartered with the people (she was an electrician and wired their house, they did the wedding for free) but it was probably two hours of dinner.
Yes! We are potentially hiring a food truck for our wedding and not only do they work street side and at classic food truck events (think music festivals, farmers markets, etc) but they also specialize in doing weddings and similar events. For this particular company, that means they've worked our venue half a dozen times, provide their own tables/linens/serveware/etc, and supply chefs as well as bussing staff. They also offer several options on HOW to serve the food -- ie- directly from the truck, plated, or "action station" style. TL;DR: Yes, you can find food trucks that specialize in events like weddings. You may need to do a bit more digging, but they exist!
i would assume a food truck would be for a casual wedding... timing shouldn't matter really ;) especially since a more casual wedding has smaller guest lists
Food trucks at weddings are the WORST. I've been to 3 and each time it took 3-3.5 hours to get food. One of them even ran out of food for guests, the other two we got very small portions and most people were still hungry after eating.
Vlog Ideas - 1) Ceremony Yes's & No's. 2) Working with a Officiant. 3) Handling "those" guests…especially if they are family (required invitation)

One other detail to possibly consider is how noisy the truck's generator can be. :/

Is there such a thing as food trucks that specialise in weddings and big events?
