really cool, love the new features ... *Bushing seat is Wider on Raked version, Rakeless has the same/similar bushing seat to previous version.* Important thing that specs don't mention on most sites, it affects ride feel and what bushings you may want to use.
I got a Comet Ethos 38 back in 2012 or '13 with Caliber 2s. It never felt right skating the shorter (for me) 24" wheelbase. This year I decided to finally try the narrower truck life picked up a set of the 9" Caliber 3s raked to throw on the old board. WOW.... Cal3s are probably the best cast truck you can buy, honestly probably trading punches with precisions. The plug bushing adds some serious stability and control. My main setup is 47* k5s on a larger 27" wb single kick. Skated the same setup for like 6 years now. However this new 24" WB board that I've never really enjoyed skating is quickly becoming my main. Really think the Calibers unlocked it's true potential. I'm excited to try more 22 - 25" WB boards since the 9" Cal 3r just feel so amazing on them. Good job making an amazing product that's getting me hyped to skate again.
Any tall bushings works for the raked 44?? there is not tall plugbarrels?? I got the Calibers v3 10 44 im looking to get some tall barrels but dont know what to buy any tips?
Love my Caliber IIIs! I've been running the 10" 44 degree, raked Caliber IIs and these trucks are all that and more. Being able to pull the shim for taller bushings is huge, as I like the big greens in the back. Still experimenting with different rake settings. I like the adjustability. More tools in the 'handling adjustment tool box' in a sense. 😁
I looked at the like number and was sad that it was so low compared to how things used to be from 2011-2016. I saw Liam Morgan and was astonished at how someone who came into the spotlight when still young and in high school has grown up so much (started to feel old cuz of that). The minute he said "Owner of Caliber Trucks" my jaw hit the friken floor. When and how did that happen? Also, great improvements to the trucks. I gotta get a new set now.
Hell yes! Good video guys and gals, love this stuff! It’s great to see the quality and commitment to taking your trucks up to the next level. I know the community is loving it also! 👊 ❤️
The rake really does add a feeling of flow and helps with connecting carves and being able to carve harder and deeper, it will feel like your style is improving if you've never used a rake truck before.
We use to use the same type of pivot that every other truck company still uses. We now make them out of urethane which is a huge upgrade and not offered by any other cast truck company.
I’m new in this world so I want to make downhill me day but for now I will start with free ride to learn how to slide in all possible ways but I don’t know which reference choice for my board so please help me to do a correct buy for star to learn correctly
positive rake = more turn, surfy feeling, negative rake = low ride height, stability, and less turn. you can get either by flipping the hanger on the Cal III R.
Did I hear that correct ? Owner of caliber ? This is news to me ! Fuck ya Liam and I'm hyped to see where the company is going definitely gotta try out these new thangs I'm still rocking my old 44 Cal's . But overall congratulations
@@lolykebrtwv been with Aera and Powell, dropped powell and went with Blood orange, only a matter of time b4 his pro wheel is out and he's on Caliber, this is just my opinion.
It's the opposite of positive rake. instead of more turn and surfy feel you get less turn, more lean, and more stability. it also lowers the ride height.
@@skatebloodorange9439 Nice👍 I really like how you explained that. Very helpful. Could you please also describe the Rakeless version of Cal 3 (or Cal 2) in the way you described negative & positive rake like turn, lean, surfy, stability, fast, slow, height etc. It will help me decide whether to get the raked or rakeless Cal. I'm particularly interested in learning to pump to propel.
Dude just put up a grid showing all 8 variations by width x baseplate angle x raked vs. rakeless and move on rather than list all 8 permutations one by one; had to stop watching the vid after a minute and a half in it was so tedious lol

First song!!!! Always thought it would be great in a video
Damn Liam I’m so stoked that I can run tall bushings with these. I just bought 2 sets. You guys are the best.
thanks for the support fam.

Excellent overview. I'm sold
Awesome video! Trucks looks lovely.
Good to see my favourite trucks getting raked versions.
You may feel stylish but trucks add nothing to your style, tho.
It lies in your heart
The rake really does add a feeling of flow and helps with connecting carves and being able to carve harder and deeper, it will feel like your style is improving if you've never used a rake truck before.
They should’ve got Zak Maytum to review these!
Wow ;) I have a previous generation :D and love it, santa cruz'n :D
Wild trucks ong
You guys used to use plastic pivots??
We use to use the same type of pivot that every other truck company still uses. We now make them out of urethane which is a huge upgrade and not offered by any other cast truck company.
THANKS all!:)
sick
Wowwwww guys! Killing it I'll absolutely have to pick up a set and a half at least. Rakeless 10in hangar and raked 9in?
Very cool kanye
bout time kanye
hold up, this mans donny is wearing some slip on running shoes
Can’t recommend the Walmart shoe section enough. Best 10 dollars I’ve ever spent.
Finally bought a 50° raked in the black bourbon
thanks
cool
So are we going to get tall plug bushings?
Maybe! But for now you can run a tall bushing boardside and a plug barrel roadside.
is there anyone else who directly ordered new pivot cups for his caliber II's after seeing this video? 😂😂
big upgrade for the IIs, thats gonna feel great.
@@CaliberTruckCo yeah you're right. they feel so fresh again!!
Will there be a lower base plate degree and shorter hanger option in the future?
With how popular the 44 degree 158mm trucks are, we might consider it.
@@CaliberTruckCo I second this idea. It would be great to have a cast option for split degree trucks!

Liam looks like being younger than before lol
What mean rake in this topic about longboard trucks ? I was found lot of meanings ( my mother language is Spanish) 😅.
positive rake = more turn, surfy feeling, negative rake = low ride height, stability, and less turn. you can get either by flipping the hanger on the Cal III R.
what Cole Trotta uses ?
so I am little bit confused ? the trucks for Dancing, freestyle, freeride are Caliber III Rakeless 10" 50 Degree or Caliber III Raked 10" 50 ?
Did I hear that correct ? Owner of caliber ? This is news to me ! Fuck ya Liam and I'm hyped to see where the company is going definitely gotta try out these new thangs I'm still rocking my old 44 Cal's . But overall congratulations
You heard that correct. Skater owned and ran skaters.
One of the scenes looked like Houtbay Cape Town ;?
what are those white wheels?
Some prototypes from Blood Orange.
Why cant I order one on the the website? It doesn't have any "add to cart" or "buy" option.
We only ship within the USA, it's probably because of that.
@@CaliberTruckCo oh ok ty for the information
wait, so they using venom plug barrels roadside? i thought they're supposed to go boardside only :T but, yeah, why not i guess
We've tested using them both ways and it makes no difference.

What board does Donny Williams have?

Anyone know what deck at 6:15 Donny Williams is using?

What does axel offset do. Are they more or less responsive around center when 1st start to lean. Compared to zero offset.
