Looked into the last time I was there. According to city code, no fishing along the sea wall. Sec. 7-2. - Fishing from seawall prohibited. Nothing to prevent you from fishing from a kayak along there, however.

I’m always looking off that bridge and the sea wall when we are there in St. Augustine (which is quite often) and I’ve wanted to fish there. One night the tarpon were chasing bait all over. Man, wished I had my fishing equipment that night lol. Way to hustle when you had so much going on. LOVE the nights of lights. It’s so amazing, just SO many people and hard to find parking🤷🏻♀️. Maybe we will see you singing sometime. Very cool, I’m a singer too, put out a few albums back when….just not my focus right now except for worship at church. Anyway…Thanks for another great video!

There used to be no fishing signs around the seawall, I wonder when they took them down. I was fishing from the back porch during the hurricane Matanazas flooded about 2 1/2 feet over the bulkheads here in Treasure Beach.

My son and I eased through that area in front of the fort in the boat. I was marking lots of large fish. No idea what they were. We were just hanging out spending time on the water. No poles in the boat that day. Really good video.

I sure hope to fish right there again soon I saw tarpon. There was lots of top water activity however, it was out too far to cast to.

Just have to find the areas that are marked for fishing. Blue areas on the map. Here a link to some of the info around the fort and st. Auguatine also has their own rules.

That’s a good trout spot , and it’s alot of sharks through there if you leave some cut bait on bottom. Caught my biggest one on the wood dock at night on cut whiting

I have, yes! But check with Fish Rules app to see if it’s legal first. Or check the FWC website. Lots of fishing regulations in FL!

I'm learning myself! But there are public docks and piers for starters. Then ask around. I'd start with the vilano pier bc water is cooling down now.
If more people start fishing there I bet they put signs up.They don't want it to look like Matanzas bridge.Beer can alley!

Vilano pier, st Augustine pier, Shore drive boat ramp has a little dock. Or head south to Rattlesnake island.

You are not allowed to fish from the seawall. They claim due to congestion from tourists and other people and hazards from lost hooks and line. 😉

I just checked the map you sent. I was totally in the 👍fishing area. However the map does not indicate where I was in front of Meehans fishing. The map stops at the fort.
