Great job on the intro walking to the beach and catching that beautiful sunrise. Whether setting up on the beach or drinking that first cup of coffee as you motor out of the inlet that sunrise over the ocean never gets old. That was a great way to spend the morning. Nice job locating your target species. I feel like if you had more time to wait out a tide change you would have got the keeper you were looking for. Very nice video. I really enjoyed watching. Thanks bud, funny you said that about the coffee. I was just saying the same thing 2days ago, that first sip of coffee right off the boat ramp. And yea if I had all day at spot #2 I think it woulda paid off or just stayed at matanzas. Sometimes I like moving around too much and it doesn't always pay off lol.
What other spots are around here? My son recently took up fishing and we go to the St. Augustine pier all the time because it's just up the street, but I am looking for some other spots to take him. Any suggestions?
Anywhere around matanzas outlet, Vilano beach, Jax beach, and all the Jacksonville state parks (Amelia island, Huguenot, little/big Talbot island. I’d recommend the state parks because they are a little more secluded and make for a great family destination. Normally I wouldn’t give out all this info but we have to keep the younger generation of Anglers alive! It’s awesome you been taking your son I hope he catches some nice ones!
is there not a way to get to the inlet (bridge) except walking the beach the way you did? I'd like to visit but I'll need to to find a way to get closer.

Pretty sure you can park on the side of the road a lot closer or on the Southside of the inlet there is parking closer for sure.
