In an interview Henrik said Aaron (drummer) arranged the bass . . . what to play when where. And he said Aaron is the least knowledgeable of music theory than he and Jonah. The vocals of course is all Jonah. All their live performances except for one ballad, are played to a click track and that his various bass sound patches are controlled by a sequencer or a DAW. I'd say it's probably a DAW bc Jonah's pre-recorded backing vocals are featured in their live performances.
Three amazing musicians. All fantastic. But I must say, that Aron Mellergard drum solo may be one of my favorite ALL TIME drum solos. He made the top of my list with that section starting at 8:54.
Thanks man for giving us this reaction to “Work Shit Out” so soon -you kept your word 👍 Great reaction and analysis, too. You pointed out that keys and bass run section in the beginning, and I’d not noticed that before -thanks ;) The magic of the production, mixing and mastering, -you have to thank Simon Petrén for, their sound engineer. He’s a master in his field, for sure. You also mentioned Aron’s use of metric modulations. He loves doing it and keeps completely blowing my mind with it. To see him doing his thing, watch Dirty Loops Samsung Galaxy 2016 Ringtone version, or their cover of “Wake Me Up”, or “Where’s the Beat” (I swear they’re loosing one beat in there somewhere 🤣). Plus everything they’ve ever done. Watch and react, cause it’s a lot of fun watching with you. And yeah, I’d forgotten to subscribe, but done now ✅ Cheers, and thanks again for a fire reaction 🙏 (Btw, small point, but it still would be nice to have your face visually a little bigger on the screen, just to read your reaction better…)
Thanks so much for the sub and checking it out! Yeah these guys are blowing my mind! I appreciate you watching and giving me feedback. It is much appreciated!!
Young Cats doin' it at the virtuoso level with unbounded joy! Thinking about accompanying on guitar....the chord changes would be dizzying! lol. Great RXN to a Swedish Band with Southern style!
Work shit out certainly has a lot to give us. Thanks for reacting to it, and glad you appreciated it so much. If you try Rock you next, you will hear a little of Henrik and Aron singing (one of them said "unfortunately", I believe). By the way, who was the dietitian during this recording?
