Your directions state to drill a 6" deep hole into cement slab. Our concrete patio is 3" deep on one end and 4" deep on the other. Any suggestions?

If you're a homeowner who's planning on purchasing this pergola my opinion would be it's a pretty nice pergola, not any better or worse than an number of other pergolas (though probably more expensive), but in the end it's pretty sharp.
If you're a contractor who's planning on installing this pergola, my opinion would be to beware of the parts this video conveniently does not show. For example, trying to catch an 8' length of 1/2" threaded rod into a coupling while your shoulder deep down the column and can't even see the coupling is more than difficult. This guy in the video is smiling as he turns the last few threads... it ain't gonna go that way for you. Not to mention the rod is so overly galvanized that you can barely get a nut on it in perfect conditions. It's almost as if they didn't consider that a nut had to go on there eventually. A poor design in my opinion. The 'instruction pamphlet" is about as vague as it can be while still being considered "instructions" . If you're bidding it... allow time for swearing at yourself in the van rearview mirror and trips to Menards for more threaded rod.
