- Join @FranticMatty as he adds a cab to the rear of the loco and shapes the front of the locomotive a little better. Today we're going to be modifying the fireboxes too so that they all fit inside. As well as that, we need to shape the front a little better.

when you make the tender, make sure its a corridor tender. Mallard had one of those and basically make sure it has a very narrow passageway so if you haul any coaches behind, you can access the engine crew by walking through it.
Your train, Frantic, is what would be considered the largest steam locomotive in the world. The UP 'Big Boy' has a 16 driving wheels, 2 sets of 8. Your locomotive has 18 driving wheels, 3 sets of 8. The boiler Big Boy runs off a single boiler, while your train has three. Your train definitely is longer to fit all the wheels. Three Boilers and 18 wheels has to be heavy, so it probably weighs ~ 700 Short tons. So your train is Larger than the Big Boy in all aspects considered above. And his train doesnt even have a Tender yet! Congrats frantic, for designing what would be the largest Locomotive in the world. Also, your train looks good in the blue paint.

Articulated triplex locomotives exist, though the setup is more of a duplex with a 3rd set of driving wheels under the tender

The threshold controllers that limit the firebox air intakes should be set to the boilers instead of the fireboxes. This may help all the boilers retain an equal temperature, especially the first boiler that struggles to have pressures as high as the third boiler that is closest to the fireboxes.

Lol I was thinking about the changes you made here yesterday as I fell asleep watching the previous video.
Left my thoughts there. Though with this video info think you should still colour code your pipes on the inside since you are covering them up. The black stroke off coming back off the front looks nice to me but I feel like you should extend it further down the length towards the window, maybe even add a white or dark red stripe under it to break up the blue more.
As for the hoppers, you've got enough space that since they act as one when connected, you could see if you can use the smallest ones and just connect a few together and or add an access hatch to the top so you can just build a crane or truck that can come dump a bunch of coal into the hoppers from the top if you want to refuel along the track in a career mode type situation where you can't or don't want to reset to garage if you're hauling something.
So it can just come along the track and refuel you and the tender quickly. Also less worry about potential having a bunch of small ones if you have a lot more.
Just a thought. Brass colored pipes all throught the train. Especially if you can see inside while driving

I maybe have a idea for the name : the English beast. Because it reminds me of 1 of iconic English steam locomotive (where I can't remember the name of ) but it's just a idea .
But please keep the blue. blank. gold color theme because it looks amazing.

To be honest white looks cleaner and nicer in my opinion and the cabin should be le aged so windows could be over the engines and see in front

reminds me of the mallard, not sure if it was the design you based it off but it looks great!
Limiting the amount of water in the boilers is a way to stop them from exploding, is use 2 thresholds going in to an and gate that controls a pump in front of the boiler water imput. One of the thresholds checks the boiler pressure 0-8 and the other fluid voliume 0-2(you can change this but if you go over 8 it might explode when stationary) , you have to spawn the boiler with zero water in it and put water in from a external tank, keep the emergency blow of valves set to oper on either 8 or 9 boiler pressure, that will stop the explosions. in therms of temp you can put a on/off Valve in front of the boiler coolant in and have it on a threshold gate with the boiler temp, that way is more effective than limitting the fire box temp.
