- New guitar day and like the title says: great and not so great. You'll see why in the video. I was beyond excited to have one of these back in my life after nearly 20 years of it being gone, and I literally did not see or think about checking the headstock first thing when I opened up the case. My excitement got the best of me and from where I was looking and talking about the guitar, I didn't even see that damaged horn on the tip of the headstock even though you see it clear as day on camera where my girlfriend was filming the video. There was a halfway decent resolution, but it is still unfortunate that the guitar showed up like it did. I'm surprised it showed up even in this condition tbh!!! More videos to come on this one for sure, but thank you all so much foe watching and continuing to support the channel. You guys rule!!!

Calm down brother. It is fixable; any luthier worth their salt can fix this. Glue, clamps, glue boost. Sand and clear coat and buff. You got your baby back, that is what is important. Congrats on a girlfriend.

Just think of this Kevin. Kirk Hammett bought “Greenie” for around 300k. This guitar was owned by Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac and Gary Moore. Gary had the guitar in his trunk and was rear ended. Breaking off the headstock. He had someone repair it way back. Kirk had it leaning on his couch in his house and it slipped and fell breaking the headstock. Kirk said he cried. He called his Luthier up to get it repaired and the Luthier told him “Dude this is a blessing. They make amazing glues now for this and it’ll be repaired better than before.”. And Kirk still played it!
Man that pick attack at 14:40 is just crystal clear, every single pick stroke is clearly heard and with no muddiness
I genuinely saw Young Kevins saw fly out of him to look at that guitar as soon as he opened the case, Coolest video!

Shes a beauty. As soon as you opened the case I was like "damn, didnt even stick any cushioning in the case." At least it was a clean break. It will be an easy fix/paint blending. 🤘

I love the widow headstocks on those BC Rich's but they are so easy to damage because of the shape. My first guitar in the early 00s from was a cheap Warlock with the window headstock from Musicians Friend, and the headstock was damaged during shipping.
i loved it too, until a friend noticeed it looks like a ballsag

Congratulations man! That's a kickass guitar! Pickup-wise the 81/85's are a solid choice, but if you want to venture to a PAF-y sound you can grab the 57/66's. Enjoy the new axe!

Great guitar! If the break is clean wood glue is your friend. Simple fix and hopefully it won't be visible at all

Nothing like new guitar day! A couple weeks ago i picked up a dream guitar. An Ibanez prestige rg5320. It wasn't specifically rg5320 i wanted, but a super nice prestige obviously from the fujigen factory... my god did exceed my expectations. The QC, playability, and all around quality is astonishing. I've had it for a couple weeks and it's still blowing me away. I still can't believe it is mine.

That was pretty lucky to get that little damage. I also noticed the trem bar was loose on the case and that can lead to some major dings and damage.

That was absolutely the best case scenario, that headstock could have gotten absolutely thrashed in shipping. Plus it’s black so the repair from my side (as a guitar tech) is also best case scenario.

Nice seeing someone else that still flies the B.C. Rich banner! I just refinished an old Bich I found in a shop that was beat to hell. That headstock shouldn't be too big of a deal to fix.

Congrats on the new ax!...There is NOTHING more exciting than new guitar day!...Sorry to see the booboo, I bought a Jake E Lee Charvel last year that was poorly packed and got some headstock rash on it...Seller took care of me on that so I kept it and love it...Sucks but hey guitars get scratches and dents and bumps its just part of life...Enjoy it and play the hell out of it!...Sounds great!
Never seen a warlock with the holes in it like that. My buddy had a warlock with the damn coffin case when we were teenagers. Stupid case doesn't fit will in cars! Hated that fuckig case.

@@samael1981 I agree. Those first 2 albums were full 8f ripping guitars, blazing drums and savage vocals. The band didn't want the 1994 album Time Bomb to be called a Demolition Hammer album, that was the record labels doing. It was meant to be a side project.

From the video, I find it hard to believe that the chip on headstock was already cracked and the motion during shipping caught the fabric in the case and pulled it the rest the way off. I think you did the right thing glueing the piece back on , use some black fingernail polish to hide the cracks. Nice BC 7 string

Ive got 81s in my Warlock and it sounds brutal
Haven't watched the whole video yet but I got a Custom WarBeast not long ago that had a chip off the Headstock allot like yours. Lucky I had the piece of wood that came off of it and was able to take it to a Luther here in town and he did a pretty great job of putting it back on and making it look like it was supposed to. Hopefully you can do the same thing. It's uncanny how often those headstocks get banged up. Killer looking Guitar. Sorry you got to deal with that.

first guitar I owned was a Warlock NJ series all black. floyd rose. it ripped. for over 10 years. solid. I learned on it. your 7 string is sick bro. I would shred that guitar no doubt. a metal machine dude. the head stocks chip and break simply because of the design and drying out over time make them very brittle on the points. no big deal kick some ass brother

Was the whammy bar just floating freely in the case? Almost looked like it was pinned under the body when you first opened the case. The seller failed miserably at packing that guitar! Especially for an international shipment. Lucky it showed up with as little damage as it did goddamn! Congrats on the new guitar though! That thing is gnarly!

Last month I had the thought to sell a couple guitars and have a money cushion and handle some pressing bills but then then before the money arrived, a lefty Ironbird was sitting on Reverb and I bought it before the money came through 🤦 it's amazing and have hoped for a lefty Ironbird since around '07, so now I'm back low on money again but reinforced some bookcases I found and installed string swings so I can hang the guitars again
Definitely try the 24 volt mod with the 707s. That mod really brings them to life!
You could try to use a high gloss black nail polish or a black gel nail polish to go over the damage after you glued it back on to cover the crack/scratches 🤷♂️
