Really enjoyed this one and your collection, Christian. All pieces that mean a lot to you and will only continue to do so with each wear. Also, I’m honestly impressed your level of restraint in having such a small collection despite coming into contact with so many great watches.
Touching video my friend, especially the story about your uncle. I lost my Dad in 2001, I was 29, he was just 60. He had a two-tone Rolex Oyster Date which a dear friend had given him circa 1984. It is just a beautiful and timeless watch. I had taken it to be overhauled for him a few months before he passed. He ended up giving it to my oldest brother before he died, probably thinking it would become a sort of heirloom piece. Shortly after he did pass, my brother, knowing I was a watch enthusiast gave it to me. Since I had been living with my parents at the time, he knew I had been there the most to help out as my father slowly, and horribly was overtaken by cancer. I have actually been wearing a lot more since finding your channel. It's like I rediscovered its understated elegance. Now, we are getting ready to sell the house I grew up in as my Mother isn't really able to be there alone anymore. I happened to find his other watch, a Casio dual analog digital, that was his "beater". I replaced the half-exploded battery, and the damn thing sprang back to Life! I just ordered a camo nato strap for it as the rubber one disintegrated. Once I have it on my wrist, it will be one of my favorite watches, similar to that Breitling of yours. ps. the Rolex has been running strong since that last service in the fall of 2000!
This video is a perfect answer to the question “why do we still wear watches?”. They are important enough that we take care of them, and as a result they last long enough that we build memories around them and then they become more than objects. You articulate that very well in this video. Thank you.
Your passion for watches is both contagious and refreshing. I am picking up a DateJust 16013 with a champagne tapestry dial on Tuesday, and it will be my first step on the exciting road of vintage watches. This timepiece, according to the serial number, shares the same birth year as me, and the only thing keeping me satiated are your videos. Very happy I discovered this channel!
Thanks for showing your collection, Christian. Calling you "passionate" would be a massive understatement! I love the stories and memories you connect with all your watches and I'm sure there are many more to come. Keep doing what you are passionate about!
@@TheoandHarris Hearing you talk about law school reminds me of every deadbeat ex football player reminiscing about how good they were. Even if you believe you could have got there, you didn't. We're judged by what we do, not what we may have. It's pathetic if I'm honest.
The Super Ocean is a favourite of mine also, wearing the same watch ten years now, a gift for my 40th… it’s a limited addition with a green bezel. Delighted to follow, I feel the same way about watches, it’s a beautiful pass time and interest. Contemplating a Big Pilot, Pegasus or perhaps Santos at the moment. 👍😊
You are a lovely young man from a loving family. Trust you will remain humble. Love watching your channel that sends me back to my youth. Wish you all the success and good health.
It's always fun learning about different movements and case materials and what not, but it's always the best to listen to one's story behind the time pieces. This is one of the best videos on the channel Christian! Hope to hear more stories soon!
I am "back watching" your early videos. These starter videos are really charming. Your collection as of Dec 23 is very different from those early days. We all progress.
Super video....your passion is so real. There are plenty watch channels on UA-cam, but few equal the real love for vintage watches as you seem to have. Keep it up mate, follow what really makes you happy. So many people wish they had...after its too late.
Great collection and great stories. The best T&H video ever. No hurry, no fast talking, just relaxed chatting about watches. More this kind of videos Christian!
Excellent video, Christian! The stories behind each of your watches and the way you speak about them is really quite wonderful. Thank you for sharing your passion and keep up the good work!
Brilliant episode Christian. You really delved into that "je ne sais quoi" that essentially defines the realm of memories and feelings when it comes to automatic wrist watches. Love the stories. And that Datejust. Just gorgeous.
This was the best video I've ever seen you do because you are so mellow and just matter-of-fact. That style becomes you. Really interesting collection and seems you really enjoyed your personal pieces. That's what it's all about.
I’ve been collecting and watch nerding for years but for some reason I hadn’t seen this video until today. Love how genuine and pure you talk about your passion. Something I miss in most videos were it’s more about the material, design, complication or value. Thanks for sharing. And … being 5 years later I’m very curious about the current state of the collection 😉.
The watches in your collection are amazing, but it's really your amazing ability to tell a story and bring all those watches to life that make this such a great video. Keep up the great work!
Honestly best video you ever made! You basically made me emotional, I also never know how to explain my love of watches, and you did it perfectly! I can relate... The words are different, but the music stays the same!
If I were to show anyone a video about why to buy watches, I would show them this. Excellent video. Your heartfelt passion pours through the screen. Subscribed!
Amazing video for this time of the year, thank you for guiding me to the vintage watch community. The stories of your watches move me everytime, keep up the good work, wish you guys all the best
The way you feel about watches is the way i feel about cars. I have so many interests and hobbies. My nr1. is cars. The nr2. is cycling. Nr3. is cigars. Nr4. is motorbikes. Nr5. is Hi-Fi. And nr6. is watches, wine, menswear, furniture, whisky, rum, beer, cognac, coffee, food and other things. This is a great video. You show so much of your passion for watches in it. And listening to someone that really has a passion for something is never boring. Good job.
This is just a tank. And I love Tanks. 😂😂👍🏻👍🏻 Christian, you did build from a quite young age on a very beautiful collection. Not all are my cup of tea but that doesn’t matter because each has its own memory and history behind it. That’s what it’s all about and shared that with us in a very beautiful way. Well done, thanks for perfect 9:23 minutes 🙏🏻
Amazing video, and probably my favorite. I just LOVE the blue Datejust and the jumphour. Its what a collection is all about, every piece has a story and a special meaning. Just superb. A happy Christmas and a very merry new year to you and your family.
Great that you love the watches for their connections and events in your life and not just for their value. Your Mum getting you your Rolex, that is so sweet.
Great video... Even though my watch style differs from yours... The passion and authenticity in which you speak about your collection makes me appreciate all watches even more. Thank you brother 🙏
Dude you really enjoy what you do. I'm genuinely happy for you without even knowing you. Love this hobby as well. Keep on the good work. The best...the Rolex.
Can anyone tell me which model the tank is, please? I know its a tank louis but I’m looking for that exact watch: the gold case, yellowed dial and black alligator strap.
I really, really like that Breitling. I usually don't prefer mesh bracelets, but it just goes so well with it. And the color is really great, too. I feel it goes best with the outfit you had in your video.
Im looking at getting my first proper luxury watch but Im torn between a 1601 vintage date just, a two tone vintage Cartier Santos, or a 2012 omega aqua terra. all around £2800, Any suggestions / recommendations?
Christian, I’ve given positive comments on so many of your videos as you know, and we’ve shared email conversations, which I’ve valued. This videos speaks out the most of all I’ve seen, the emotion, passion, personal connection and devotion each trip over themselves in such a natural way that this moment of your life you’ve chosen to share was just someone else.... wishing you many more years of watch passion my friend. 👌🏻
Excellent and inspiring. Thanks for sharing your journey thus far. Hard to explain this passion with non-watch enthusiasts. Narratives like yours do a great job bringing someone in, much like beautiful wristwatches. Cheers to you and continued success.
I am a modern watch collector, but recently I feel in love with vintage rolex date just. In toying with the idea of getting one.. just seeing your rolex has made me decide to pull the trigger. That watch in the video is sick!!
I really Love this video. I have a few beater watches, but knowing that I will never part ways with a Vintage 1960s Omega Seamaster Deville from my Grandfather gives me hope and excitement that I will one day get to my expand my collection to include pieces I will be proud to pass down.
Love your more subdued tone. The watches and your stories really shine when they're not being buried under a frantic anxiety-inducing narration :) PS - you made the right choice avoiding law school and chasing your passion!
Christian, the collection is begging for a JLC Reverso my friend. It would totally suit your style. I picked up my JLC Reverso Medium Small Seconds about 3 weeks ago and could not be happier with it.
Really enjoyed this one and your collection, Christian. All pieces that mean a lot to you and will only continue to do so with each wear. Also, I’m honestly impressed your level of restraint in having such a small collection despite coming into contact with so many great watches.
It's Teddy Baldassare
Teddy Baldassarre why the fuck do you even review watches. You add nothing but shit to the watch community.

Amazing
Nice brother, thats great.
Beautiful narrative on the watches. I love your blue dialed rolex. Very classy.
Probably one of the best T&H Videos posted. It shows the journey that all watch enthusiasts go through.

I think the Superocean is absolutely stunning and Im not normally a Breitling fan, it totally fits in with your collection and style in my opinion.

The uncles watch, and the moment that you explained it, “got me”. Thanks for the exquisite video.

What is the watch strap you have on your Rolex?
Great to hear the different stories
Great video Harris. Theo would be so proud!
Beautiful video, talked nice, calmly and passionate about watches who are part of your life.
Great video! Passion came through at every second of the video... favorite so far! Congrats Christian.
thoughts on the breitling aerospace?
Great collection! But watches aside, where do you buy your cable-knits?
"After dinner drinks are a real passion of mine" LOL!
Incredible video, just when you thought T&H couldn't get better!
Damn, Christian. Now THIS is a video. Great story with matching visuals told in various settings. I love it.
Thanks man!!!!
Does anybody know what the difference is between the breitling superocean heritage with the date at the 3 o clock position vs the 6 o clock position?
Maybe the best watch video I've seen.... Not just because of the watches, but it was the most honest watch video I've seen, because it was about you!
Ugh... that blue Datejust though... I'd wear that thing everywhere.
Christian, the collection is begging for a JLC Reverso my friend. It would totally suit your style. I picked up my JLC Reverso Medium Small Seconds about 3 weeks ago and could not be happier with it.
A very private and full of love for watches video , love your channel keep going
Thanks man!!!!
Really feeling the moments, even though it's your story.
Perfect presentation!
Congrats on all of them.
Thank you very much!!!!
Beautiful. Very genuine!
Great video and collection! but better yet the stories that are behind them! Amazing narrative
Nice! You still wear the jump hour watch with the "two tone stap"
Makes it even more special
Agree!!!!!
Who makes the blue cable like link sweater?
Uniqlo
"Boys R Us"
Really good video Christain! Cool collection too.
Really enjoyed hearing the stories and I absolutely loved the watches
Thank you for a great video. I enjoyed every second of it!
Thanks for sharing! Great collection. Enjoy.
Great video. PLEASE, I need to know what’s the band you’re using for the Datejust. It’s just PERFECT for that watch.

Good video Christian. I enjoyed this
What happened to your Santos Dumont?
