This is an underrated gem and absolute masterpiece
Whether you were a fan of Bret's or not, when you heard that intro music you KNEW you were about to see the best match on the card that night.
I believe that if you made a list of Davey's ten greatest matches of his career, him vs Bret at Summerslam 1992 and this one from December 1995 would both be on there.
For better or worse, In Your House 4 holds a special place to me as it was the first PPV we saw after my parents upgraded from cable to DirecTV in October 1995. I can remember quite well being able to finally watch the PPVs live and we did typically watch the WWF shows but would occasionally get the WCW ones as well. Case in point, the following week, we ordered Halloween Havoc and saw the infamous Monster Truck Sumo Match. I can still remember my dad's buddy howling laughing during the opening match between Johnny B Badd and DDP where Mero clotheslined DDP's henchman, Max Muscle and barely touched him on his upper back but yet Max went down like he'd been shot.

Bret Hart, easily my favorite wrestler of all time. Bret hart vs Kurt angle would be my dream match.

Bret himself said that he wished he could have wrestled Angle. The styles would have meshed epically.
kurt angle and chris benoit had some of the greatest matches ever, and benoit was trained in the dungeon, worked in the Stampede territory. i can only imagine what a hart vs angle wrestlemania main event would have been like....wow.
The story I heard was Angle pitched it to Bret for WM (I wanna say WM 22) but turned it down. Angle was angry then when Bret agreed to the match with Vince at WM 26, but Bret told him "when you see the match you'll understand why I turned you down." Angle vs. Bret, both in their prime would have been INSANE!
@@gameshowfreak2007 With Bret's concussion, forget it but I'd LOVE to see a match between Angle and Hart. I see them in 3 matches. Wrestlemania, Summerslam and Survivor Series. Hart wins at Mania, Angle wins at Summerslam (due to the fact that Angle had an undefeated streak at Summerslam) and Survivor Series, Submission match with Stone Cold as special guest referee, Angle wins that.
Remember Bret v Davey at Wembley that was amazing!!
Considering the true story behind the match, it's even more amazing that Bret was able to pull it off.
That match was one of the best main event IYH matches they had.

Bret’s style made me forget that wrestling wasn’t a legit sport. Shawns style was always too phony for me and his selling was always too over the top

One of the best WWF Title matches of the new generation era, Would have gotten more attention if it was at a Major ppv like their previous main event match (Summer Slam)
Yes Davey faced Diesel back in October at In Your House 4. Same one where Goldust debuted and the infamous HBK giving the IC title to Dean Douglas. Bret dethrones Diesel at Survivor Series then faced Davey at In Your House 5 in December.

I always hated bulldog being Shawn's whipping boy,i.c title,championship match, eliminated him multiple times in royal rumbles.When if you REALLY look at his overall career I think he was BETTER, ESPECIALLY when he got more muscle and and was still nimble as a cat till after WCW closed (when he wrestled in jeans his career was spiraling)

If you'd like a great laugh at Kevin's expense (and who doesn't) I suggest you watch the first five minutes of his fantasy epic: "Almighty Thor". It sucks so hard that at first scientists though a Black Hole had finally been caught on camera. If Kevin wrote it, it makes a lot of things clear.
