There aren't many things left in this world that are pure. Cornette's hatred of Vince Russo is pure and unadulterated.
That's what I've been saying for a while now but everyone's saying "oh yeah I think Cornette likes Russo" or "this is all a work" which it's neither of them because the hate from Corny is actual burning hate because of how much damage Russo has inflicted on the wrestling business in general because of his antics and his booking. But the thing is that I'm not a hateful person like Cornette is. Although it does surprises me of why people who're stupid enough to hire Russo. By the way, the part where Brian Last reads the letter from Russo to Dixie Carter where at the end of the letter it says "peace, Vince" has to be one of the stupidest things that one individual would say to another. It's almost like he's a gangster when he says that. No one ever says "peace" to their boss. Ridiculous.

Because it would give Vince Russo publicity and help keep him relevant. Cornette would never do that. Anything that might benefit Russo is off the table as far as he is concerned. The Brawl for All Episode is one thing-that provides the stories of the guys who fought in that ridiculous tournament, and is effectively an autopsy on one of Russo's massive mistakes. But the promotion of an episode about Russo vs. Cornette would, it its own way, get Russo over. Cornette knows this, and therefore would never agree to it.

I was a firm WCW guy throughout the Monday night Wars, though I liked guys like Foley and Stone Cold on the WWF. Once Russo took over, though, I abandoned ship, because I didn't want to watch an awful attempt to steal the WWF's act. The man has no interest in wrestling, and is publicly proud of that fact. I disagree with Cornette on quite a few things, when it comes to modern wrestling, but I 100% see eye to eye with him on Russo.
