Waterloo Original Soundtrack - The Old Guard is Broken!

- As the Prussians spill onto the field the British unleash volley after volley into the ranks of the advancing French and the unthinkable happens - the Old Guards retreats. Napoleon's defeat is now certain and Wellington orders the whole army to advance and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
The tenth track from the soundtrack to the 1970 historical epic film Waterloo, directed by Sergey Bondarchuk and starring Rod Steiger as Napoleon and Christopher Plummer as Wellington. The accompanying soundtrack was composed by Nino Rota.
NAPOLEON: "Where is Grouchy?! I need those men!"
An attache with the benefit of hindsight might well have told the Emperor, "Following the route specified in his orders, sire."
"Does he not hear my cannon?!"
"He does. But, the Marshal also fights the Prussian rearguard."
"Rearguard, you say? Where?"
"At Wavre, sire."
"No, no, no! The fool! Grouchy has let Blucher slip between us."
"Sire, Marquis de Grouchy is winning."
"Then, his victory will be our defeat."
Great comment 👌🏼👌🏼
Bien vu ! 😉👍

That was the scene where it transitions to Wellington’s POV

The German anthem with it's starting tunes is played throughout the music. I like how they put it in for the Prussians. 0:00
its inaccurate as the prussian anthem was pretty much just the british anthem with a different beginning and a original part added near the end
@@GNRA1GreatNorthern1470 If they had used that anthem it would've been confusing and not gotten the point across

Something about the Prussian (Blüchers) theme gives off this really uneasy aura. Almost as if the Prussians are these evil soldiers.
