Vers cool. But i replace bonne prison bye corpse tendrills With the crit aspect. To getter more cc. Couple it With the blith aspect Who grab ennemies to him. And voilà. Ahaha
Damn, best build so far.... I tried others but they were only good if you were high lv (70+), I made yours at lv 59 and solo beat dugeon 70+ to access Tier 4 World!!!
Fast blood is only able to go on Rings. You mentioned multiple times to put it on a focus or gloves if you don't have the unique. Even the image you show of it, states only rings, just FYI.
Awesome build, you're the second person I see to utilize Blood Wave properly and I'm making a similar build right now but with a few key differences, but a similar principle. Really fun playstyle!
In saying you didnt have a black river to test with i though I'd give my input on river vs wand. Ive been playing similar to this build for weeks. Using black river turns it into a completely different play style. You go instantly from more corpses than you can use tk struggling to find one. In variable playstyle, i use a wand+focus and run it just like the video. With black river ive experiemented with some success in renoving corpse explosion from the skill bar and putting on iron maiden. Replace the stacking damage shadowblight aspect with +40%x damage to double cursed targets. Curse curse prison wave mist through the carnage. But tricky relying on mist for CE but it works. I prefer wand.
Yes corpse management is tricky with Black River but since Bloodmist is almost always available I'll use it with the aspect to trigger corpses and if you wade through a pack it will create ALOT. The extra damage from Black River is better than the blighted aspect proc that being said it does eat ALOT of corpses. In boss fights I have a blighted wand Ill sometimes switch to because Black River struggles with single targets.
I built a version of this Dot build including the defiled blood wave and was running it, before I tried out your Blood Surge build. I feel this build has more sustained damage, survivability and a quicker clear time. You don't get the "ohh ahh" effect of the colourful numbers that you do in The Bloodsurge although the efficiency seems much better. as there are a lot of ways to remain safely stationary (including shapeshifting into bloodmist) the "xDmg while stationary" aspect can work well on the build.
Unless something has changed, you have to have an ability on your bar if you want procs to use it's upgrades. You can easily verify this using a bear druid with the landslide trample aspect and the crit stacks upgrade to landslide. If you have it on your bar then you'll build the stacks with landslides proc'd from trample. If not, then you don't. So you'll need to have Blight on your bar if you want to take advantage of that modifier.
other than the upgraded glyphs, i have everything for this build...I'm totally going to try it out. I wish blood surge could fit into this tho. I love blood surge so much. lolol
Interesting build, but it seems like a gimmicky version of shadow mist. The bone prison corpse generation interaction is very interesting though. I like the idea of blood wave because it pushes enemies back, and one of the issues with "infini-mist" builds is you need to be on top of the mobs and if you aren't tanky enough and lose bloodmist for 1 second you can get one-shot. However, the majority of your damage is coming from shadow-blight anyway. So it feels like you're just making a weaker version of infinite shadow mist with the benefit of staying at range. Also I'm fairly certain that multiple different sources of DoT do NOT count separately for "instances of shadow damage" to proc blighted aspect/shadow blight. So having blood wave DoT, blight DoT, and Corpse Explosion DoT are all going to be collated together and added to the "total DoT damage to be taken in x ticks". Only instant damage sources of shadow damage will count separately such as blood-soaked blood mist, sever, etc; no DoTs. If they ever nerf blood mist, this will be a great build to try out.
When I saw endless I thought he was going to be spamming them out like at least once a second. I've done this with bonestorm to have almost permanent uptime for barrier for my dot build. Same concept different ultimate skill but it falls off hard when you boss with it. Your build is better for clearing though well done.
I stacked up lucky hit on every possible item, even uniques. To be frank i don't notice any difference. When you check the the tooltip for example a +12 or whatever lucky hit chance increase is like 1% for blood mist and 3-4 for corpse explosion. Maybe switching lucky hit for more defense stats or even crit chance is better.
Hey I was curious why instead of losing those 3 points into the 20% dmg nodes on the final board and throwing them into the wither board for the increased shadow and dot dmg paragon thats below where the glyph is? That’s 20% increased shadow dmg and 40% increased dot dmg, the whole build is shadow and dots, thoughts? Btw after seeing this build I absolutely fell in love with it. I’m leveling my season 1 character with this build and it’s still quite good without the key spells.
is taking standalone while bone prison is bugged and counting as a minion worth it. Whenever you have bone prison up the damage reduction is dropped. You could put 1 point to gain access to the Sacrifice bonuses but I'm not sure if there is a better place for 2 points.
Ive tried alot of different builds, blood surge, bone spear, summoner, blood summoner lol but I love this one. Higher tiers that were giving me trouble with the other builds are now a snap. The control is absolutely crazy. The almost constant uptime on blood mist literally makes you unstoppable and the constant blood orbs give you so much fortify and health you just dont die. Unstoppable foes are a bit trickier but the constant uptime or at least very short bloodwave CD is a life saver in those situations. Also as an aside Black river works wonders with this. It can replace the blighted aspect because its percentage of damage is higher than the shadowblight proc the only difference you have to be a little more mindful of corpses as it will suck them up quickly but the extra damage is SICK.
The one thing I found with Black River is the damage boost may not be worth the amount of corpse it eats. If anyone's build is lacking Lucky Hit then I would hold off on Black River if you have it.
You should farm for an Wand of Abe-Mari. you can find one with super high dmg roll and it comes with intelligence and ultimate kills damage and you can reroll the crowd control duration. Or keep it an reroll one of the others if crowd control duration is more of a priority. I have an 829 power, upgraded it does 1420dmg with 90int and 30%ult dmg. and, you can farm that focus of qin that you can get a max lucky hit roll of 11% on that upgrades to 15 I think. AND you can get one with a really high roll that would also upgrade to the same dmg(1400's) so you can get a TON of base dmg and 30% lucky hit from those 2 items alone. and shadow builds benefit a lot from high base dmg since they do dot dmg. so it's worth losing the extra attribute from each. Also, I don't know if the corpse explosion on mist is worth it, the amount of corpses it blows up is pretty low, and the cdr from it is probably negligible compared to the cdr you get from decrepify proc's. I've really been liking the combo of the 25%move speed while unstopable(works while in mist) and for 4 seconds afterwards. So you can use it to zoom in to get your obs and then back out, and if you use the mist leaves shadow behind you, it also removes the move speed malus on mist so you ZOOM while in mist. I know this kinda pushes the build towards an infinimist build but, if ur using it for the move speed to collect orbs, the extra shadow dmg is just a bonus. ALSO, with all these blood orbs...would it not be beneficial to wear the unique chest that shoots off bone spirits every 5 obs you pick up? Also, I might drop the aspect of disobedience for blood mist leaving a darkness trail. If you put on the unique chest and use that darkness mist aspect, you can mist in to collect a bunch of orbs, do more shadow dmg, plus pop off a few bone spirits, and ur ult CDR so soon as you come out of mist you can blood wave again. Adds a shit ton more dmg. also, not sure how important the 3skill points for blight and aspect for bone prison are worth it, since ur already basically getting perma slow and perma vulnerable, those 3 skill points and aspect can be used for unique chest and bone spirit points. because of the knock back and perma cc, and perma uptime on blood mist, I think you can afford to play a lil more class cannon but I suppose that can be personal preference. love this build my d00d.
I Love your builds. You Always try sth. Different and i think you was the First on UA-cam with a luck based dec/Mist build I used the Shadow Wave the whole time while leveling. The Wave is Just dmn fcking cool but for surv. I swatched top bone storm and atm i am running a infinitmist/blight build with black River. I will give this build a try After Work
i'm pretty sure lucky hit chance did almost nothing for the necromancer [it said chance but it is actually chance bonus so +0.165% to the current luckyhit chance etc. It doesn't work for chance inside the lucky hit too, just the chace to proc lucky hit then we have to roll for a fix amount of chance after 😨]
how in the hell does your shadowblight key passive imprint on your weapon do 240%!!?!?! ive never seen ANYTHING above 50% on a 2Hander, the aspect roll is 40-85% how is it 240%?!?!?!
i think i figured it out, when item power is above 800 the "roll" range is a completely different 799 or lower item power roll range is 40%-80 800+ its 150(?)- 250% watched dozens of videos from rax, wudijo, ryker, etc no one ever mentioned this. just got a blood mist roll on an 810 power item 1 second reduction on corpse consumption. sub 800 item is 0.2-0.5.
actually....with the changes to blood lance...u could run blood surge/lance/wave without decrepify, using blood orbs for the ult and the overpowered abilities with rathma's to reduce the cdr on blood mist and probably do way the fk more dmg. Keep the blood wave corpse explosion and mist as shadow dmg, but take corpse explosion off your bar and just proc the explosions with blood mist. It would be a kind of infinimist that uses blood mist to buy time for rathmas procs(only 12seconds now) plus blood surge and lance. You could realistically proc surge and lance once each between rathmas procs and since mist lasts 3 seconds that's only 9seconds between rathma procs AND with 2 seconds off for each over power proc that 6 seconds off each mist from the 3 overpowered abilities, (use the rathmas for bloodwave, then surge, then lance) also...the way the cdr for mist is written...would the extra waves from blood wave also proc the 2second cdr? I know that the other waves also overpower if the first one did...that could mean that overpowered blood wave 6 seconds off blood mist cdr, if that's the case, 12 seconds off mist cdr per rath proc bare minimum. with umbral...the amount of essence gen would be off the hook AND you wouldn't have to put lucky hit on your gear. Since so few things power up your overpower dmg, that's a lot fewer things you need to look for on your gear just blood dmg willpower and overpower and crit. look for equipment that has imperfectly blanaced and effects your core abilities since surge and lance are both core and you could find a lot of synergies, like rathmas atk speed and core crit atk speed. since blood orbs reduce your cooldown on ur ult and your ult produces 9 orbs that's 14seconds off your ult ever ult. since you can blood mist in with your speed mist, which blows up corpses which produces more corpses, you can also use boots and gloves that don't have the lucky hit on shadow and get better aspects that actually help the build with specific stats that help the build. the only unique you would need/want is the unique chest that uses orbs to shoot off bone spirit. This also means you can get more shit in your paragon boards because you don'y need as many glyphs and you can collect all the rare and magic node, and since the blood orb paragon board is by far the best board where literally everything on the board is good, you can use that as your main board, and attach 4 boards to that board that all spider into/around the other attached boards to just the rare/magic nodes you want/need I have a very similar build(without the unique chest) that I'm doing 50-55nightmares as only level 85.
Comparatively it can push higher, but does easier content slower. That being said, I have a bunch of ideas for taking blood/overpower to the next level and will be speccing back into it tomorrow to try them out.
I was asking myself how did you get 3 lvls of Fueled By Death, without any points on Grim Harvest (and the amount of points on the build won't let you to expend this extra 3 points), but later on the video you show your Necklace with these 3 ranks of Fueled by Death. So, for those who are making the build on a build planner like me, this passive skill are not on the tree, unless you get a Necklace like that. Thanks anyway for making this build, will try that soon!
guy takes time out of his day to share his day to share a pretty unique and fun build and you guys just want to complain? Just use you brains and make your own builds if you can't respect his time to share his build. Great video man. I love unique builds like this.
I currently have this build. This build lacks burst damage. Shadow dmg is pretty good since the buff. It's considerably one of the best next to Poison dmg. But unlike Poison, there is nothing that can compliment the DoT damage, like Druid's Aspect of Blurred Beast. You can hit it with waves, but you're just practically kiting around waiting for the damage to bring down their life. You'll have to use a Core that'll deal damage to enemies affected by Shadow DoT and Crowd Control. But even then, just bringing that damage up also, you'll weaken the Shadow DoT damage.
after trying so many necro builds from blood to bone spear versions to shadow, I will provide my feedback as a level 100 necro , Bone spear build - we all know that one however its very bad for pushing high NM dungeons and i don't like the glass canon play style Shadow mist - very strong defense and damage but very bad at signal target, can push high NM dungeons without a boss at the end bone spear minion - my new favorite build with ring of mendelin , which i am still testing but seems very good at both staying alive = good single target damage and doing high tier dungeons
I've been running this for a hot minute and love it. I keep going between tendies and prison lately to test. I like prison more and typically only use one of the two because I don't consistently run high density pack content (leveling friends etc) so I tend to run blight on the bar. I have a build without it, which is definitely more powerful. That said, you don't have to run blight pull aspect or added pts for health to the prison to get the build going with great damage. CE miasma and wave are the killers. Explosive mist and howl from below are actually really bad in my testing, mist's speed uncap is not necessary. if you need lucky hit, which isn't super necessary, (because DoT ticks currently don't seem to proc LH) then you could use greaves of the empty tomb for LH from shadow dmg. Black River is key to boost CE dmg although I'm pretty sure the radius increase is bugged. Also, not running the same boards as you but to each their own. Been seeing upwards of 700k ticks at 86, not godly, but enjoyable.
Black river takes this really over the top but you have to be more careful with corpse management as it will eat them up rapidly. Empty tomb runs well with this and I dont yet have howl from below although I have almost 2-3 of EVERY OTHER unique. Wild but is what it is. I wonder how the Blood eater or whatever chest piece would do? The one that will trigger Sever. With alot of blood orbs everywhere I feel as this would proc ALOT. Have to give up an aspect though.
this build will never work if playing with friends, no one want to play with a necromancer who use blight. the whole screen is full of black pools. Cannot avoid.
great build and all but its just like all the others .. the amount of RNG you need to actually get the aspects and unique gear pieces is just stupid i have done 20 levels and still not even got the howl from below gloves and sat at lvl 84 now....
RNG is indeed pretty crazy. By 84 I had like six Howl from Below gloves. At 93, still not seen a Black River, which of course is the one thing I'm looking for.
Anyone wanna explain why hemorage at lvl1 can deal just as much overpower damage and blood wave when hemerage deals 27% damage and blood wave is at 120% damage. That math doesn't math right. Fix your shit blizzard have multiple video examples showing these damage numbers as proof and it's ridiculous. Making me wanna quit all together.
Just respeced to this build. Here are the cons: Difficult to use because of the buttons / difficulty walking around because of the buttons / you mess up and you're waiting on CDs / corpse starvation at times and it's you're only way to attack / very very slow movement speed compared to blood surge. pros: kills stuff fast once they are grouped up. Took me 20 minutes to clear a dungeon that would normally be cleared in 5 minutes with blood surge.
Does anyone actually like the visual effect of darkness? I had to switch to a different build because I feel like it obscures the screen and what's going on so much. It's a strange design choice to obscure the PC, even if they have highlighting which doesn't work in darkness aoe. Really wish they'd allow us to turn off the effect for that skill.

This build is extremely viable in season 1 with caged heart of frozen terror, caged heart of great feast, and caged heart of creeping death.
I’m actually really hyped to try this! So tired of most shadow builds being trash against big single targets, this seems like it fixed that
Damn, best build so far.... I tried others but they were only good if you were high lv (70+), I made yours at lv 59 and solo beat dugeon 70+ to access Tier 4 World!!!
Swapping over from a Sever build to this was very much fun. Dying alot less, but killing a single mob can be quite troublesome.
I agree. Single mob, especially if it is a teleporter can take longer than a huge group takes to kill.
I absolutely love this build! Dropped my bone spear build for this and haven't really wanted to try anything else!

Very interesting "out of the box" build, man. Would really appreciate if you linked the maxroll build planner for this. Keep it up, bra 🤙🏼
Yes but many of the nightmare dungeon effects will counter this, like the magma, shroud, dopey ass rock following you etc. Movement is key.
Not running core skill, wild build!
Does anyone have this build written down?
Because it would be nice to be able to have it on a site and able to check it better than in the video guide
Thank you fam this the best necro build I’ve tried so far
other than the upgraded glyphs, i have everything for this build...I'm totally going to try it out. I wish blood surge could fit into this tho. I love blood surge so much. lolol
Looks fun, but a written guide on one of the build sites would make it alot easier to follow
Any updates for this build for season 1? :) My fav build!
Awesome build. Any way you can link it on a build planner?

Really surprised you didn't opt for minion damage received limiting passive, as it works for bone prison.

I was doing a build damn near identical to this except I was using Bone Storm.

love this build my d00d.
problem with bone spirit unique is that it has no survivability. chest is extremely important for the damage reduction rolls.
Blood artisan is terrible, don't use it.
Fastblood aspect is only for rings sadly.
Easy fix, just swap one of the weapon aspects he has on one of the rings to focus and then put fastblood on said ring.
Do you have a d4builds link? :)
Nice this looks fun ill prob try for this in season 1.
I Love your builds. You Always try sth. Different and i think you was the First on UA-cam with a luck based dec/Mist build
I used the Shadow Wave the whole time while leveling. The Wave is Just dmn fcking cool but for surv. I swatched top bone storm and atm i am running a infinitmist/blight build with black River. I will give this build a try After Work
great build love the prison tech
Did they update blood waves vfx to black with darkness aspect? This is a big deal imo. I want my skills to visually match.
@struth gaming can this build work at mid levels. I'm 45 right now and ma looking for something other than bone spear to play.
Is this good with barber or creeping death?
is this the evolution of your previous build?
i'm pretty sure lucky hit chance did almost nothing for the necromancer [it said chance but it is actually chance bonus so +0.165% to the current luckyhit chance etc. It doesn't work for chance inside the lucky hit too, just the chace to proc lucky hit then we have to roll for a fix amount of chance after 😨]
Hi, i have 40 lvl on my main. Is this build Is good for me if i have still main quest? Ty for answer!
when did you got the boots?¿ i need it from my build, but im 84 and nothing.
I'm just here waiting on the bloodlance build. 😂 but i can pick this up for now.
Thx for the ideas
How about a blood wave build version but with blood its any good?
Man, i wanted bone prison but i kept getting myself caught in it. 😂
idk i keep trying other builds than the bone spear... and i always go back to the spear. lol. just fun idk.
How is this build with single bosses?
How to deal with suppressors with this build?
i like it! I also have a unique blood build; love necro!
Any links to the build guide?
Hi, one question could this build work with the aspect that pulls enemies in when u use blight but without having blight in the bar?
Yes
dope build, but kinda sad that every single necro build runs the same 4 skills
how in the hell does your shadowblight key passive imprint on your weapon do 240%!!?!?! ive never seen ANYTHING above 50% on a 2Hander, the aspect roll is 40-85% how is it 240%?!?!?!
2 handed weapon with max roll aspect
@@stoly4R wow, the hunt is on i guess. So the range roll on the advanced tool tip is incorrect? It infinitely goes up?
i think i figured it out, when item power is above 800 the "roll" range is a completely different
799 or lower item power roll range is 40%-80
800+ its 150(?)- 250%
watched dozens of videos from rax, wudijo, ryker, etc no one ever mentioned this.
just got a blood mist roll on an 810 power item 1 second reduction on corpse consumption. sub 800 item is 0.2-0.5.
oh hell ya you get a sub for this
i wish blood waves looked like...blood.
What a fun build
Wow o try it and its hell of fun build
I have 4x black river scythes id be happy to trade it to you or just give it to you.
i need help; can you receive the blood golems 15 percent dmg reduction without putting the golem skill on your skill bar?
no u cant

Amazing build! Necro still too weak and needs more buffs! xD
PLEASE post the written build link
actually....with the changes to blood lance...u could run blood surge/lance/wave without decrepify, using blood orbs for the ult and the overpowered abilities with rathma's to reduce the cdr on blood mist and probably do way the fk more dmg.
This also means you can get more shit in your paragon boards because you don'y need as many glyphs and you can collect all the rare and magic node, and since the blood orb paragon board is by far the best board where literally everything on the board is good, you can use that as your main board, and attach 4 boards to that board that all spider into/around the other attached boards to just the rare/magic nodes you want/need
I have a very similar build(without the unique chest) that I'm doing 50-55nightmares as only level 85.
Very nice build, looks like it could be great fun with another Necro rouge and sorc team.
FAST BLOOD aspect can’t go on focus my guy. Only rings. Even says it on your tooltip in the video fyi.
This build will suffer bad with butcher i feel
Where's the build guide so we may follow it need maxroll build guide or mobalitics we need build guide not just vid showing ur skills an tht
I feel like every noob went Necro 😂
It is still not lvl 100 nightmare
I hate tht you dint see shit when using blighted corpse explo
Better than infinite blood surge?💀
Comparatively it can push higher, but does easier content slower. That being said, I have a bunch of ideas for taking blood/overpower to the next level and will be speccing back into it tomorrow to try them out.
@@StruthGamingwaiting for it@@!
@@StruthGaming can't wait
how is this in pvp?
Triple waves smack hard in pvp
Lmao at "neck" instead of amulet
Blood wave is sooooo weak tho :/ specially without overpower
sounds like my wife
its crap for boss fighting
This build is really unique and different from the main ones! I liked!
Thanks anyway for making this build, will try that soon!
please for the love of god include a written guide in the description on D4builds
100%. Just show me the skills you used and the aspects. I don’t need this long ass video
guy takes time out of his day to share his day to share a pretty unique and fun build and you guys just want to complain? Just use you brains and make your own builds if you can't respect his time to share his build. Great video man. I love unique builds like this.
@ginkgoinsanity8403 Don't waste your breath. Diablo players in general are just bad in social situations.
But even then, just bringing that damage up also, you'll weaken the Shadow DoT damage.
awesome build. Owning bloodwave and not using a basic to generate is the best.
Did i hear it right?? Lvl 80 doing 70 nightmare??😂😂😂 fak im doin the opposite lvl 70 doin 70+nightmare😂😂
after trying so many necro builds from blood to bone spear versions to shadow, I will provide my feedback as a level 100 necro ,
Bone spear build - we all know that one however its very bad for pushing high NM dungeons and i don't like the glass canon play style
Shadow mist - very strong defense and damage but very bad at signal target, can push high NM dungeons without a boss at the end
bone spear minion - my new favorite build with ring of mendelin , which i am still testing but seems very good at both staying alive = good single target damage and doing high tier dungeons
This build is so cool, i switched over from my infimist build, and couldn't be happier. thank you so much! my only problem is everything dies too fast
Non elites, melt without even using Bloodwave.
No build link.
I moved on to channels that bother...
is t his still viable in season 1 or could you do an update on it for season 1?
its not a blood wave build, it's a mud wave build.
please post on d4build
great build and all but its just like all the others .. the amount of RNG you need to actually get the aspects and unique gear pieces is just stupid i have done 20 levels and still not even got the howl from below gloves and sat at lvl 84 now....
