I think that many of us dream of owning a cozy home next to a river, in a quiet and peaceful place, when we retire and reach old age. Each day you would enjoy the sunrise and the sunset, drink hot tea on your terrace, and look out into the distance with a thoughtful expression. Many years ago, an American man by the name of Morton Jablin had the same dream for his retirement.
What a great choice to make. Amazing storie, wish him a long healthy life.
Same
wowie that old man is living the best life that i will never get
*sniff* *sniff*
God bless him.
I hope for him happiness and contentment however long he lasts.
This is great, his life is a lesson to me. I love it.
I WOULD LOVE TO DO THAT IF I HAD THE MONEY what an amazing old man thinking like that Out of The Box when he retired.Well done. A lovely true story
If you love ❤️ water that much, then, go for it. This man is 94 and lived on a 🛳 for thirteen years and live to talk about it. He lived his dream to the fullest. Congrats and many more blessings to you🙏🏾🙏🏾😘😍🥰♥️♥️
This is an awesome story.
Fantastic and smart idea.
I have the utmost regard and respect for this man's ingenuity, intelligence and ability ! His solution to the cost of his convelecence is admirable and genius. Best of all, it is the community of friends, who genuenly care for him, that the has chosen to spend his remaining years with that make his choice beautiful !
Good for him n da company is just wonderful for allowing him to stay on n on discount price. Our God is wonderful.
That is a very good Choice can live comfortably and can also see the world
The fact the crew just decided to basically become the family is one of the rarest thing ever.
Not really. It would be rare if they didn't.
Wonderful story,
i assume would take personal courage to embark on such an enterprise
I congratulate. the website for telling the story, many thanks ,

I would absolutely do it. What a great idea. That is living, especially on the water. Sir you are a genius. 🦋
Woo sir ! U r a superb inspiration for any age persons.
True, he's a genius. Can you believe this? Cheaper as well as a celebrity life style.
Ingenious!
He go5 it right. Well done sir, good luck and Godspeed.
Wonderful
How i love to live like him. Enjoying the cruise. I wish wish wish❤️
Marvelous! What a great idea! The crew is his family.
Brilliant!
This is amazing. I think I might do the same thing when I got old. I can travel around the world and get a comfortable retirement 😌
Yes, this man is amazing.
But, one doesn't necessarily have to live on a boat.
In Europe people have been doing this sort of thing by living in an hotel. That would be my choice.
Just think, you have your rooms cleaned, your beds made, and you have the option of going to a dining room if you don't wish to eat in your own apartment, and choose an already cooked meal ... prepared by a chef.
I would have my privacy as well as people/friends around me all the time.
What better way to live?
@@paulitza9 oh, hotel is a good idea too. Thanks for the hint. I like visiting different countries so I like cruise ship.
Awesome! If I could afford it, I would live like that.
I love it!!!
Awesome!
Obviously a very smart man.
I think he’s absolutely amazing and incredible for an older man he’s has seen more countries than the average man it’s better than been stuck in a old folks home 🏡
I'm 74 and I live alone in a boring one bedroom apartment. I WOULD LOVE TO DO WHAT THIS MAN HAS DONE ! I think he is a smart man who figured out great idea for his old age !
Good idea!
A man that gone his own way! Nice!👍
Fabulous lifestyle.
That's how I'd like to live the golden years
I just love it. I couldn't do it, but I salute the man who can. What a wonderful idea. (c=
I work in the cruiseship for 12 years, i know and i feel in his heart that the crew members on the ship are his family. Why because we care for our passengers not just guests but also our own families as well.
he has a great idea but instead of 125 i would go to 1000 and he is a legend
He really thought outside of the box... I wish I could meet him.
Best Idea in the world, Get to travel in top class, good food, good care, that is better then wasting away in a nursing home for sure
Stunning life, if you don't suffer from seasickness!!
I met a woman doing the same. She said it was better than assisted living, the more she sailed the bigger customer loyalty rewards and deeper discounts. She had been on 32 cruises when I met her, all around the world on sailings of a week to several months, all the continents, the canals.
If I had the money I would do it in a heart beat
Really luxury life. G-d bless him.
👌👌👌
I think it's a brilliant idea And would consider doing it myself, I am 64 years old and thinking about retirement 🤓👍
Well if you've ever been on a cruise liner you will know there are many residents that stay on bored all year around mostly retired people turns out cheaper than aged care
I had Bahama Cruise and Baltic Cruise. Really enjoy both. Dreaming to spend more time cruising from country to country in big cruise ships.
A KNOW SOMEONE THAT TOOK THEIR MOTHER SND PUT HER ON A CRUISE SHIP FOR 2 MONTHS WHILE THEY HAD TO GO OVERSEAS FOR CATERPILLAR FOR 45 DAYS. THEY DID IT ALSO BECAUSE IT WAS HALF THE PRICE OF A NURSING HOME AND THEY WATCHED AFTER HER AND WASHED HER CLOTHING. SHE SAID SHE HAD TGE BEST VACATION EVER.
What an amazing retirement wish I could have afforded any retirement, let alone an amazing one like this
a wise man
well its amazing
Well I've seen some other things on UA-cam where people have done stuff like that but the amount of money was a lot more than what they're talking about their butt this is 13 years of this guy doing it so who knows but it would be great to be able to do something like that someplace down the line I would have thought that he would have had to change ships because I would think they would put the ship in there for maintenance or something overhaul or whatever they do to but I'm sure something like that has to happen every so often

This is something that I have wanted to do but I am unable to afford it. I'll be turning only 63 tomorrow and I'm still married (40 years) but even with both our incomes we'd still not have enough to stay on a ship like this. My wife is 8 years older than me and if for some reason I'm every single again, I will look heavily into this and see if it's even possible somehow.
wow
It's all about Destiny he was born to live in the sea. Good luck not all have the idea or destiny to live in the sea
I willi go on that ship once pandemic over to meet him
Nice if you have it.
His costs $4000 per month, would keep me for SIX months in my present situation, three months if I was single.
This is funny. Here I see Clint Eastwood and Brad Pitt and the last one I watched was Tom Hanks. I guess these short films gives them something to do. Enjoyable though.
I think I just might do the same thing!!!
The 7 seas has alot of filipino workers inside✅
MANS GOT A FLIP PHONE AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA MAN IM DEAD
A nice suggestion to lead old age comfortable even for indians as their family size getting shrunk slowly
So it costs him $3,802/mth or $45,625 pa. If your home sells for $450,000 that’ll give you 9.86years on a cruise ship. No cooking, cleaning or driving (you’ll never have a car crash). Waited on hand and foot. Plenty of company and entertainment which changes monthly.
However as you’re NOT payjng
- Rates or Water
- Electricity or gas
- Groceries
- Car Maintenace, fuel or license, car replacement
- Eating out, movies or other recreation outlay like golf, pool fees etc
- Household eg cleaner, outgoings such as toilet paper etc
- In-home carer
- Garden maintenance eg mowing, trimming etc
- Medical Care
Your savings can be added to your yearly cruise costs so add another $40,000pa which has you cruising eternally. Guess you can save on funeral costs too and simply get buried at sea by the Captain.
However, abandon ship if Covid hits as you’ll die early
What happened to him with him and the pandemic
He had no choice but to go back home
Now that covid19 has curtailed cruising, where would he be staying now?
I was thinking that also
hello!!!
Its all fun and games until corona boards the ship
i think it's an a amazing idea, why not spend the money travelling ,,..as opposed to spend in a retirement residence and not go anywhere,. i'm a single no family med 55 i never of thought of this . have not even been to Florida .
This is one very long advertisement. I have met several people that liver like this on cruise ships.
2020 brought this plan to abrupt end, he's now living it up in the sticks
a good day - UA-cam
Great story and I think it's a great idea. If I could afford it I'll pack my one bag and do the same. At every stop I'll whiteness about Jesus Christ to people.
How did we go from Clint Eastwood to Brad Pitt? Are we even talking about the same guy here?
I have heard of others doing this, or living in a nice hotel instead of other options like a Nursing/Retirement home. This is much better. Who needs others to tell you when to be awake and asleep?? That sounds more like a concentration camp. We all need to be in the drivers seat of our own lives. I have lived and worked in four countries since leaving home at 17! Put myself through University, and really have gone everywhere I want to. Doing this is much easier than actually locating someone with whom one has complete harmony and synergy... and love to last a lifetime. After seeing my parents amazing and wonderful relationship and marriage... never met anyone with whom the connection was deep enough to consider it a lifetime option mirroring the connection my parents had. Without that, what's the point. This is a great option. I have worked since age 17 and love the idea of this.
A few years ago I read about a woman who was doing the same thing. I think it’s a great idea, but I have too many family members here in Ohio. I’d miss too much if I left them.
What happen to this cruise now - with Covid19 ?
This is like manifest but with a ship not a plane but it can happen if you go in a coma then everybody go’s in a coma some how and the ship just floats for 13 years but if it didn’t sink that’s amazing and if it’s true. And check out the show it’s called manifest
Another rich guy!
One doesn't have to be very rich to afford $4000 a month for living. It is a great idea, a blessed guy.
A retirement facility or rest home would cost twice that much and would be very dull.
Ello soldiers
What happen to him now with the pandemic?
Could not think of anything worse, what a boring life.
Beautiful story makes me think of the days of the pirates they should have a lot of guns in the sea if the story's was true I wonder if the water had a effect while firing of a bunch of shots how do the animal respond just curious
Stop calling him an old man..do you know how many times you said that in this video?

This is so old. It was an old lady then! Still if gives a yank chance to ramble on with nauseous cliche
Could all be done in Two minutes 🛳🛳🛳🤬
Well life is a matter of choice🤷♀️
All good, except when a pandemic happens. . .
Did he go home cause of covid?
how much money does HE have???
Ahhh, and the way they drag the whole story out makes it soooo boring. Then it turns out to be basically an advert for this cruise ship. 😏😣
What about COVID-19 how does he live in it with COVID lol 😂
Lol
My grandma is 100 but she can still run
covid still lets this man cruise ship? wtf
Cou8ldn't do it. I get seasick
why he is so pessimistic...why did he think ,that he would be a burden to his own extended family..?....He is just being selfish, even the grandchildren could have learned and enjoyed so much from him,had he stayed with them....he just lost his memory of viewing his grandchildren grow in front of his eyes.....anyways,his choice afterall...😒🤔🙂
Well covid now what
Hey new loneliness kill people fast 🙂🙂🙂🙂

im just gunna start disliking all these videos from the start then see if it can change my mind at the end.
If he die in that ship. You will hear loads of ghost stories about him.
