That was awesome Wayne. You are very knowledgeable when it comes to boat fishing. You explained everything really well. For a surf guy those boat rigs are a whole different game. Great catch man that snapper was a slab!!!!
Amazing how one little clip with some extra weight can be such a game changer. Gets down to the fish quick and then helps land em. Brilliant stuff man. These kinds tips/tricks can quickly turn a slow day into an epic one. Well done man.
Hay Wayne thank you for making my morning with this one we love salt water fishing. We have sold our Sea Hunt cc we both miss that boat had it for 10 years now we fish the marsh in a bass tracker
You're starting to get the muttons under your belt! Awesome video and thanks for the suggestion for balloon clips. I've been using permanent ones and it is a pain to hand line in 30+ feet of leader
Yeah I like that idea brother, I always watch people struggle trying to get the fish in the boat because of long leaders and I think to myself there has to be an easier way 😂 Nice job man thanks for sharing that idea!
What happens if the lead gets stuck in the bottom seems like a rubber band might break easier without losing the device and would be worried about the wear and tear on my guides with the swivel. Do you throw a sand ball down before you drop your Mutt rig every now and then
Nice video. I will add that clip will help with the leader not tangling if you can spool it up into the reel. I find any leader under 50lbs likes to twist easy and knot up into a mess when hand lining in. Thanks for sharing.
Exactly!! That’s what would happen all the time. The first time you reel that leader all the way up you’re like where have you been all my life 😂. Glad I could help
Okay found the clip on Amazon , gonna order them today! The bigger clip you rigged to the FisherKing clip, can you specifically detail what you used? (Going to online search for that too) thanks again ! I’m from Port Saint Lucie but keep my boat at Taylor Creek Marina in Fort Pierce , Cheers.
I buy the pack that comes with the balloons because you get more for your money. I bought a bag of bank sinker clips from bass pro and threaded them on. If you buy theres with the clips on already they are cheap.
Good to see the ballon clips being used! I was the camera man that filmed the video for Capt Ryan of good karma sports fishing when those clips were introduced at Icast. Curious to know how they have been holding up for you?
How do you attach the bank sinker clip to the balloon clip? Also, with that long leader, how do you get it to the bottom without it wrapping around your mainline? Thank you.
I just open up both sides of the bank clip and slide through the slot easy and turn slow, then close back. Put the bait on and let it drift all the way back in the current. Then attach the clip and let it go straight down. Just don’t let it go super fast. It won’t wrap.
Been doing that for over a year on the sinkers but I use a vip tie to hold my sinkers on caption Dan from south Florida fishing couple should me that tight lines my friend
Nice mutton. That seems like a good tool to not have to handline the fish. Wonder if you couldn't come up with a clip that released when it hit that first guide. But then you'd have a weight smashing in your boat unless you caught it. 👍
Great point. Check out the spro power swivels. They’re super small and easily pass through. Should be fine with quality guides. If you’re using braid you can use a uni to uni knot instead of a swivel.
@@CProFishingWithWayne we use to work together we are fishing bodys he parks his boat in my property he's the one the told me about your Chanel to follow you.
Have you ever lost a fish due to slack when you take the clip off? I’ve gotten a pretty decent groove with the hand lining them in, but I’m thinking about getting these clips. Btw, I am in love with fishing for mutton’s out of Stuart, out of a 19 foot boat too! Maybe we’ll run into each other some day, I’ll introduce myself lol
Maybe a couple but I used to lose a lot more hand lining. Definitely say hi if you see me out there. Mullet are starting to show up. Great Mutton bait. Appreciate you watching.
@@CProFishingWithWayne appreciate the reply! Will do my friend, I just started offshore fishing really this summer. Dabled in it the past year, but thanks to vids like yours and time out there, I’m seeing more consistent results… just gotta have free time and calm seas to line up. Def gonna try these out! I was thinking about trying to force feed one of those 15 pounders a 10 inch hog leg!!
I just buy the regular size five pack that comes with balloons. Then I add a heavy duty bank sinker clip. You can buy them with a clip but they were flimsy. There’s a larger clip for Grouper when you’re using 100 plus pound leader.
Great little trick bro, just found your channel and subscribed. I started a channel a few months ago and getting better with my edits. Check out my mutton vids if you get a chance. Keep the videos coming!

Been using those clips for quite some time now. Game changer for bottom fishing Big Mutton’s. Great video Wayne. - Capt Dan
Appreciate it Capt. Dan. Should’ve listened sooner. Tight lines!!
That clip works pretty slick ! Save a lot of headaches when landing . Beauty catches Wayne thanks for taking us along

Awesome brother. That big water looks so much fun. Nothing but small streams and ponds here in Utah.
Thanks brother yeah it’s an amazing place to fish.
You couldnt have timed this better... exactly the tutorial i needed exactly when i needed it. On my second watch!

Brother,glad to catch another video.#tightlines👍🏼🐟
Thanks brother
Hell yeah Wayne, that’s awesome. Looks like a ton of fun. Great video
Thanks brother!!
Always enjoy the background music in your videos. Lets see what the secret bait is next!
Long Bonito Strips, small live baits, grunt plugs, Ballyhoo plugs, threadfin heads.
Good stuff brother one heck of a mutton snapper, great to see your new technique with the clip done the trick, brilliant 🐟👌
Thanks brother greatly appreciate it

Thanks brother I appreciate it. Still fun fishing the Marsh. Sea Hunts are nice boats
Great tips man looks like a good rig for snapper I wish I could catch one but I live far away from an ocean
Thank you appreciate it
Cool beans 😎
Gonna try some of those clips in the Atlantic next trip!
Hell yeah !!
Looks like a great idea. I always thought the way you had to hand line it in would be a pain. Not any more! Nice job dude!👍👍

Thanks Mike!!
Killer video! Nice work 👍

No more hand-lining!! Some nice fish bro!

You can use a rubber band I guess. If it ever becomes an issue I may try that. I do chum chunks when anchored but not when drifting
The small power swivels I use are fine, but you can also tie a uni to uni.
Great video my friend 👍
Thanks John
Great tips bud💯
Thanks Capt. Ryan!! I’m thinking you know about this one 😁. Tight lines
The proof is right there. It works. Great rig man.

It sure would buddy

@@CProFishingWithWayne Do all bank sinker clips work that way? Both ends open? Thanks for replying.
Do you happen to know what pound clip you are using?
@@CProFishingWithWayne
I believe so
Regular size not the heavy duty
Very cool! That should help you get more of them by those nasty sharks and into the boat!💪
Very true. I only lost one fish on this trip to a Cuda
Been doing that for over a year on the sinkers but I use a vip tie to hold my sinkers on caption Dan from south Florida fishing couple should me that tight lines my friend
Hey Terry Capt Dan has been telling me multiple times so finally tried it out.
CPro Fishing I absolutely love the weight setup

Sooo... you reel the swivel thru the guides? Doesn't that have the potential to damage the guides?
Great point. Check out the spro power swivels. They’re super small and easily pass through. Should be fine with quality guides. If you’re using braid you can use a uni to uni knot instead of a swivel.
@@CProFishingWithWayne the clip won't slip over the uni? I tie a FG from braid to flouro will the clip work with that?
Absolutely it will work. It takes a lot for it to move. Any knot will stop it
@@CProFishingWithWayne Roger that, thanks for the info. Gonna order some 2nite. Space coast proud.
My pleasure. Tight lines buddy
Do u let your sinker stay on the bottom?
No, you want just enough weight so the line is on a sleight angle and the weight is off the bottom enough to not bounce.
Love it
Thanks brother. Can’t beat this rig in the deeper water.
Yo awesome vid!!!! That rig is the bomb!!! Totally using it next time I go out!!! What bait were you using?
Live finger Mullet.
