Another of many fantastic videos. I've been a fisherman now for about 60 years and watching your videos has energized me again and rejuvenated how I view this sport.
*I bought these and used them at the river where I get snags often they have done a **enjoyable.fishing** recommend great job of not breaking along with some strong line I purchased as well. They are super durable and easy to use.*
Great Vid. The uni is a great knot. Fishing on a boat with few fishermen you can get away with lighter line. On busy boats, the mates will hate you when you tangle every line around you after your fish makes a run on light drag.
so I miss you 2, you taught me a lot the first videos I saw on boating and fishing and your last videos are 2 months ago. I hope everything is all right :)
Can’t get enough of your videos Mate! Absolutely love what you're doing and so Inspirational, I’ve just started my own Spearfishing/fishing channel based on The Great Barrier Reef.
I mostly was tying trilene knots from my freshwater days, but they were slipping out on heavier salt water stuff so I switched to the uni. I use it for almost everything now. Its fast, strong, works for connecting anything to anything - the only thing I don't use it for now, is sometimes on certain setups I'll use an FG to tie braid to leader, mostly where I'm casting and the knot is gonna go through the guides.
Great Video, Ladies! Glad to see you have nice weather too. I wasn't sure if you were going to be in the path of Tropical Storm Sally, before it became a hurricane, while you were out in the Gulf of Mexico.
Another informative vid, great job! If you haven’t already, will you cover the importance of venting the fish when releasing them? So many people on charters throw back fish that haven’t been vented no matter how many times the captain and deckhands mention it!! Thank you, ladies. Keep up the great work!
Love the "fish brain" Pontoon boats would be cool to fish on. You really enjoy using the ballywoo for bait, must work pretty well, along with the squid, interesting. Great exercise pulling the fish in.
I snell circle hooks which is just a uni knot on the shank rather than on the mainline (read a whitepaper on tuna longliners and they found that a snell is the most effective knot, improved catch rates quite a bit as the mainline comes through the point side of the eye and retains 100% of line strength.) . the uni knot is king IMO. only others I use are PR knots or FG knots depending on line weight if I'm not using dacron/hollow braid. I experimented with bloods, palomar and all else. I'll do a bimni twist then loop to loop or albright. it's more important to use a knot you trust. a failed knot should never be the reason for a lost fish IMO.
Y’all kick ass fishing why y’all charter when y’all got the big gale force boat and the smaller with them twin 115 engine y’all just kick ass either way have fun and hope things open back up more so we can see more videos
Fish 🎣 Brains always make my cheeks hurt😂!! Great video and great technique! I caught all my mutton snapper and believe it or not...bonito...on that very rig this year.
Knots are a weak point, so by doubling the line like that before you tie a knot thats gonna be under stress, you can get the full strength of the braid where you connect to a swivel or whatever terminal tackle you're using.
The Bimini doubles the braid giving it more strength. It also makes it easier to tie mono to braid when the braid is thicker. Another benefit to the Bimini would be if you want to tie the albright as your line to line knot which requires the line to be doubled over. We use the albright on our slow pitch set up. Video coming soon!!
Great video THANKS! I WISH the boat I was on had been that empty.. They over booked and it was shoulder to shoulder all the way around.. Not fun if you were on the wrong side... A LOT of tangled lines...
So keep thumb on spool on the drop when on the bottom slightly increase thumb pressure, as boat drifts away from that spot do you want your weight to remain in position or hold distance from boat? On the sinker is it a lighter line to act as break away in case weight gets snagged? Is there a preference for the Uni( Palomar, Clinch whatever) knot to hook eye over some variation of shell knot through eye and around shank, it's supposed to increase chances of hook set in corner of fish mouth. " So Many Days and Hours Mushed together my Brain Patterns Hurt!" LOL! Blhahahahah FISH BRAIN STRIKES AGAIN! Need to do a out take reel! Would be good for many fish brain laughs! o,o
We are heading out for ARS from the coast of TX and I'm hearing the larger ARS can be up off the bottom 40-50' (avg 180' of water). What's the best setup on a crowded party boat for this situation? Thank you.
good video but why such a short line for the sinker and shorter leader, current? depth? I'm asking because I usually put 2 feet for the sinker and about 30 ft leader. TIA.
Nice video yall👍 I didn’t know that trick to fillet the bait, but it makes since. I reckon that works on all bait fish? Anyway great lookin black fin snapper😃
Awesome Vid. Just a question why do you guys in the states use such thick heavy rod for bottom fish? In japan we use very thin parabolic rods . Anyway cheers ‘!
@@carlp9120 that’s our wind on! We do around a 40-50ft wind on leader to help with tangles if we tangle with other fisherman nearby. Mono is a lot easier to untangle than braid
What do they serve to eat and where do you sleep on the head boat. I’ve wanted to do that trip and have always wondered. I’m not expecting a cruise line. Do you bring your own sheets? Did take Any videos on this stuff?
What is the purpose of the Bimini? I am a googan going on the yankeecapts in February. I was just wondering if you could just tie the uni to uni without the bimini?
By using lighter mono/flouro to attach your weight to your swivel, you have a better chance of losing the weight but getting the the rest of your rig back if you snag bottom. With a clip, you will probably lose everything up to the braid. Plus, you could adjust for depth of presentation, almost like dropshotting.

That is a beautiful fish, the red is just so vibrant! Nice job ladies!
Your explanations are excellent. Detailed without skipping steps. Nice job and hope you caught lots of fish!
Love the way you explain the details Very Helpful!
so I miss you 2, you taught me a lot the first videos I saw on boating and fishing and your last videos are 2 months ago. I hope everything is all right :)
why did y'all go on this huge boat vs your own boat? I don't know just asking :)
Nothing better than watching fishing vods with knowledged beautiful woman. Damn, skills
You were tying knot like you were tying up a calf at a rodeo lol

I've got several Accurate reels. They are the best hands down! Those valiant 2 speeds are game changers.
You girls are awesomeee keep it up !!😄
Awesome video!
I would of never thought to use or have seen anyone use a barrel swivel as a slider!
Awesome idea!
Another great video. Super informative. Love those Accurate Valiants. So light and powerful. Plus made in America. 🇺🇸
Even your nail polish matches your Gale Force colors, you go girlfriend!
My kind of fishing 1:00 in the afternoon LOL
Fish brain! Hate it when that happens ;-) Great video!
Awesome I'm still watching from you're channel gale force twin...from Philippines.....

THIS LINE IS EXCELLENT FOR MAKING LEADERS FOR FISHING THE DELTA AND OR SURF CASTING.
I like the uni knot!!

Bonito is great for bait!!
Great video.

Best wishes for you .. you were doing a super great work ..
Excellent videos ladies - thank you very much!
Twin always do the best
Y’all are so amazing keep it up!!
At some point can you explain why the bimini?
Knots are a weak point, so by doubling the line like that before you tie a knot thats gonna be under stress, you can get the full strength of the braid where you connect to a swivel or whatever terminal tackle you're using.
What is the need for the bimini? Wouldn't you just go from the main line braid to the mono? Or is that braid below the Bimini doubled?
The Bimini doubles the braid giving it more strength. It also makes it easier to tie mono to braid when the braid is thicker. Another benefit to the Bimini would be if you want to tie the albright as your line to line knot which requires the line to be doubled over. We use the albright on our slow pitch set up. @@harrismichael88 Yeah the bimini is basically a type of loop knot, so toward the leader yes, it's 2 strands of braid.
Ok, so you end up having 2 braid tag ends on the double uni then? It didn't look like double line, thats why I was confused.
Great video THANKS! I WISH the boat I was on had been that empty.. They over booked and it was shoulder to shoulder all the way around.. Not fun if you were on the wrong side... A LOT of tangled lines...
I keep waiting for y'all to make our mouths water with one of those famous breakfast sandwiches made by your chef. Yum!
Absolutely Admire you girls. Especially the knot uni knot ties 😊
Nice 👌. Ham bone 😋!!!!! Be safe Gals!!!
Great Vid Ladies 🤙🏻
you guys have to come and fish the sport boats in SoCal you will love it
yea another video
Just AWESOME!!
Awesome twin♥️🎣🐠🐟
Enjoy ladies
cool clip, thanks for sharing. I would never join braid with and mono using the Uniknot for big game though! Subscribed!

💪🏻💪🏻🔥 🔥 y’all rock
You rock for watching & commenting! Thank you!!
Weird I didn’t get a notice for this video. As always great video girls
That’s definitely not good 🧐
That is nice you do not have people fishing boat sides. The head boats I been on get the major cluster F. Takes 30 minutes to untangle everybody.
hello twin....i love your video
May the force be with you
Gotta make that video for tying a bimini twist!
We are heading out for ARS from the coast of TX and I'm hearing the larger ARS can be up off the bottom 40-50' (avg 180' of water). What's the best setup on a crowded party boat for this situation? Thank you.
any specific reason y’all prefer that rig over a traditional sliding egg sinker or just personal preference? genuinely curious if there’s an advantage
Thanks for these great videos. Can you say why do you use a Bimini instead of a Albright or something else?
good video but why such a short line for the sinker and shorter leader, current? depth? I'm asking because I usually put 2 feet for the sinker and about 30 ft leader. TIA.
The Bimini is really not required for the uni to uni. Also those are not ball bearing swivels. Those are regular barrel swivels
Fish Brain!!! :D
what were the dates of this trip. I see the seas are super calm and I know we have had a ton of weather recently.
Seems if you used sinker leader of lower poundage than regular leader or mainline you could break it off when it gets hung.
nice fishing gear
Question on your rod why is it notched at at the base of the rod? Keep on fishin!
Those notches are called gimbles and seat into a rod holder in the boat or sand spike at the beach.
Nice video ladies
Loved that Yankee Capts trip. Question for you. Who wrapped your RS rods? I'm thinking of going with the same model you listed above.
Anyway cheers ‘!
why the bimini? why Knot just a double uni or fg from braid to mono top shot?
How did the mullet work for you? I took some primo fresh mullet, butterflied them and couldn't catch a cold with them.
What is the section that you tied to the main line with a bimini?
@@carlp9120 that’s our wind on! We do around a 40-50ft wind on leader to help with tangles if we tangle with other fisherman nearby. Mono is a lot easier to untangle than braid

Where was this video 30 years ago when I did a 24 hour trip out of Moorhead City.
What is the purpose of the Bimini? I am a googan going on the yankeecapts in February. I was just wondering if you could just tie the uni to uni without the bimini?
Why use a swivel with the weights tied to the line vs a fish finder clip for the weight?
By using lighter mono/flouro to attach your weight to your swivel, you have a better chance of losing the weight but getting the the rest of your rig back if you snag bottom. With a clip, you will probably lose everything up to the braid. Plus, you could adjust for depth of presentation, almost like dropshotting.
Whats the point of the bimini knot? It looks like just a short piece of more braid.. why not eliminate that and just go 40# braid to your wind on?
That's weird I don't get notification for you guys I mean girls 😂😜 sorry
You’re not the first person to say that ☹️
What line do you guys recommend to vertical jig
We usually use 50# fluoro
Tyler yes you’re right! We usually use 30-40# braid
Are you guys on the miss blue haron
Hello. I’m a new subscriber to your channel. What kind of pliers do you have in the video? I’m looking to get one but also I want a good ones.
Do head boats have there own descend devices or do you have to do it yourself?
We always bring our own!
nice setup and presentation though with all this fight drama i though you had a Tuna !!! :P
please help me about the conventional rod. so the rod can do both up and down or what. ? sorry my english so broken.. 😣
Where did you get red braid please
It’s power pro, we ordered it on Amazon!
@@GaleForceTwins thanks
Where do you ladies buy your trolling lures?
How much of each bait do you take on a Yankee Capt trip
why do you use the biminy twist on the braid
Hi ladies, am fr franklyn from the bahamas, i am interested in the camera that you use to record videos. whats the make and price.
How long is your leader line
