I remember watching this years ago...Pharrell knew from the drop. Trying to contain himself, biting his lips to not say nothing etc
Good to see the contrast in his face from the other productions before this and then when Maggies dropped.
Then the way Maggie moves her chair when he does speak, so she can look at him and actually HEAR what he says...
I remember this!! Pharell doing his young artists community support thing graciously but not expecting much.....and then this plain down to earth girl steps up and blows his mind. I've been a musician/composer/producer for decades and I had the same reaction as Pharell. "Holy shit that was so different.....wow."

I'm quite new here but dude I can't see praising a woman for being herself and not "overly sexualizing" herself and then turning around and noping out of 2 people kissing. The video seemed to be about being yourself. This might be a great time to question the male gaze in this moment. Are all kisses a sexual act or merely a sign of affection. Don't put this on the video. I really think reading up and researching the male gaze in art history could help give you some insights on this very thing. Weaponizing men's discomfort with things has been a tool of the powerful for a long time.
You must not have a penis or any man like qualities whatsoever. Men kissing is a gross visceral site to see for men. It's not pretty or beautiful it's gross and will kill any vibe that a song or movie brings
I love the dynamic you guys bring to the channel. As someone who really feels and experiences music on a profound level it is wonderful to see you guys bring things that affected you to your core to each other. Love how Dom is so tapped into the importance and significance of energy vibration. I personally struggle listening to say heavy & death metal music as it feels too dense and almost makes me feel ill, and I've been into frequency (hurtz) music for a while but learnt about cymatics a couple of years ago and love seeing how vibration of certain notes forms the most beautiful patterns and i cant help thinking about how notes form those patterns in our cells. I want to absorb beautiful patterns in my cells, not ugly or distorted ones.
Have just gone to watch her official video and there was something about her ethereal music that reminded me of Aurora (my favourite female artist) and then she started the hand movements - its almost like a language these angelic "starseeds" use from a different planet...

As far as the episode goes it was incredible. I love that you guys do stuff like this. I especially loved all of Dom's commentary and how passionate and deep he got into the energetic aspect of music and how we as humans energetically connect with each other while listening and performing it together. I came across this artist when listening to Aurora Radio on Pandora. She(Maggie Rogers) has a lot great tracks. That said you two should definitely check out Aurora and her band as well. She is from Norway and is extremely unique and makes great infectious musical tapestries. Seriously, I hope you will check out AURORA some time.
