The thing about electric vehicles, as opposed to regular ones (acoustic vehicles?), isn't that they don't pollute, but that the pollution is concentrated at the power plants, where it can be dealt with more efficiently.
When I saw the thumbnail I assumed Jonathan Ross had taken over from Ayoade (with Fry as episode guest), and wanted to see how he does it. They got Stephen frigging Fry himself to be the gadget man? A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.
I want one of those twizzy things. I've never learnt to drive or got my cbt (I'm not facing the elements on a bike) but I'd pass it if I got to use one of them. Although I'm sure I'd lose a lot of my non existent cool points...

Are those scooters legal in UK ? As far as I know Segways and similar are banned from our roads, if the scooters are allowed then they would sell quickly if the right price. The Twizy would be perfect if only it had side windows, UK weather is not for this vehicle, if I'm going to get wet while commuting then I'll stick to the motorbike, at least I can filter and save time.
Perhaps this is a reboot like Spiderman, exactly the same thing, but with a different actor. All the same gadgets, the same guests, the same London spots.

Before anyone buys one of these sooters - familiarise yourself with the Electrcially Assisted Pedal Cycle Regulations (EAPC) which means that if it falls outside of these, they cannot be used on public land, only on private land. Same for scooters and other powered vehicles. Buy an electric bicycle instead, that complies, and you can use it on cycleways legally. If it doesn't comply, they need to registered, plated, taxed, insured, and you'll need a licence and helmet - just like a motorbike (which is actually what it is). Beware, ignorance is no excuse, and though it seems not to be enforced, if you get caught, there will be a fine and points on your licence! As a cyclist using cycleways daily, I agree with the rules, having nearly been killed by an idiot doing about 30mph on a scooter!
Gone were the days where simple friendly banter with strangers on the bus or tube, was still the best way to break the monotony of a journey. I love Stephen Fry's voice. So soothing.
Love the guy standing in the default commuter pose behind Stephen Fry when there are loads of empty seats.
On Top Gear, Clarkson pitched to the Dragons in the den the exact idea Jonathan Ross has @ 4:10. They thought it was idiotic.
Jonathon pitching it rather proves their point.

Stephen Fry was the original Gadget Man. Richard Ayoade took over after the first season.

They're probably Rick Owens!
