I've wanted to know how to do this for years!!! Thank you so much! I had the pattern but got stuck - your video helped me figure out what I was doing wrong.
On the 4th row I end up with less sc for the last corner. I tried a few times from the initial start and still can’t get it. Any pattern on this star please.
in the beginning of round 5, my square looks alright but i have so many extra stitches left by the final round?? it looks like a potato instead of a square but i’ve followed everything:(
Your video becomes confusing on round 4. You say, 1hdc, 2hdc, 1hdc. . Why not say 4 hdc or do you mean 1 hdc, 2hdc in same stitch, 1 hdc. I know this is an old video but hope you are still tracking.
I have watched a lot of tutorials but this one is very average. You often hide the stiched with your fingers, it is quite hard to view the material and the explanation is confusion in some levels. I don't know is it the colors or the camera but it is very unclear. I stopped after 4th row, as there were comments that people ar having trouble with row 5. I wish you all the best, but switching to another video 🙏🏻
It’s a lovely pattern but.. instead of saying 4 half double crochet you keep saying one half double then 2 half double crochet and one more half double… very confusing
it's actually 1x(hdc) and then 2x(2 hdc in the same loop) and 1x(hdc) if that makes any sense had to rewatch the part way to many times to realise that haha
Again after continuing to review video on row 4 and reading transcript, finally I figured out what she was saying, you should end up with 60 stitches around or 12 stitches per side so 2sc, 1hdc, 2hdc in same stitch, 2hdc in next stitch ,1hdc, 2sc, 2sl (12 stitches x 5 sides is 60). Now row 5 should work.
Thank you for this video. It's easy to understand.

Okay here I am years later with the same question. Thanks you all for clearing this up.
