Drone Song:
With Honors by Ramin Djawadi
ua-cam.com/video/K9KLkDOFSQY/v-deo.html
CarSarcasm TV I was totally thinking it was from MoH
almost a Jeremy Soule's vibe
@@devon6323 me too lol
Congrats you earns a subscriber
Ramin Djawadi makes the most awe-inspiring pieces of music
It’s so weird seeing them doing the takes over and over, because in the actual program it’s so realistic and you actually believe a lot of it is improvised. Still one of my favourite shows of all time
Most of it is improvised, it's just that once they find the joke or line they keep going with it until they execute it perfectly.
I think it's devised. They plan it all out. Then when it comes to the cameras being on them they 'improvise' their conversations based of what they planned.
Slytherin Forever read “and on that bombshell” it really gives some good insight into how things went down on the show and if anything makes you appreciate it even more
Half the reason the grand tour feels weird sometimes. It's equally scripted, just Amazon is way worse at hiding it than BBC is
Statiq Amazon doesn’t even try and hide it anymore which makes it just as funny tbh just in a different way
The crew member with the hook was also shown in the Grand Tour Columbia special. Glad to see that the original TG crew followed the trio after they left BBC.
At a interview Jeremy said that about 90% of the top gear production team left to work on the grand tour
His name is kiff and he's been with the gang for a long time. He's made an appearance in one or two episodes of top gear too. He was the steering guy for Jeremey in the double decker race against the Germans.
@@kreghzdee Makes sense. The productions company producing the grand tour is owned by Wilman and the trio, and is a direct successor of Wilmans former prodcution company which was producing Top Gear for about 10 years prior to their leave. Seems like they basically just rebranded it, founded a new company with all of them and took the staff with them. This would explain why so many are still there, why should they work for a different company when they already know everyone.
@@torbenmayerYes, and I'm sure they get paid well, are treated well and feel safe, otherwise they would have left a long time ago!
He's still filming with Clarkson on Clarkson's Farm, he features in an episode in the 2nd season. He's been with them for 3 different shows
"How many go pros you come out with?"
"43"
"How many did you go home with?"
"6... Better than last time"
lmao
I feel so sorry for the drone footage guy, this is amazing, he must have been heartbroken when it ended up on the cutting room floor.
great to know, thanks
Surely they used some of it
The drone footage isn't deleted scenes. A lot of these youtube video's aren't deleted scenes even if they pretend to be.
I saw this footage at the end of the show. Maybe you should watch 'till the end?
Cameramen are used to it, cutting is part of the process. But they know what they've done and they have their own copies.
I doubt hes too upset, not after the free holidays and the paychecks
Drones really revolutionized filming.
Actually, they weren't called drones when they revolutionised it.
just curious about that.. what were they called?
Ano Nym. Single rotor helicopters where also used for filming before quads and hexes became common, they where just called helicopters. multi-rotors/quadcopters. Drone is a legal name they where given a few years back.
Helicopters
and war
That chit chat between the crew behind the scenes is just heartwarming. It makes me like Top Gear even more :D
As a UAV operator, words cannot express the feelings inside after seeing the beauty of this country from the sky.
wtf
As a rocket engineer with 63 degrees and 12 bachelor's , i agree.
@@CuiuneDelSud 😂
as a UAV I cannot process feelings or beauty
thank you for your service and the hellfire missiles that keep our super duper secret operatives alive
If ANYthing, the ‘Top Gear’ & ‘The Grand Tour’ film crews have provided us with some of the most exquisitely beautiful images I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing. They really do seem to be in a league of their own without peers. Besides building many of the funniest images on TV (film as well for that matter) currently, it’s so easy to forget sometimes that they’re set shots. It nearly always feels spontaneous. That can’t be easy.
what TG/GT did is absolutely unique in the history of television
@@guguigugu And the absence of them both (yes, we just had a GT episode released but it’s been a good good while) is absolutely glaring.
I would watch a "Making of the Top Gear ______ Special" Special if they released one. Looks fascinating.
Read the books written by various people on it. Trust me
"Man from the ministry of something or other, hes in charge of stuff"
Love it
IN CHARGE OF STUFF
(position given to the boss's brothers kid )
every time top gear does a special somewhere it ends up with a civil war or a genocide or something
Open borders for Israel the trio left top gear, as a result Brexit happened
Not always though... but sure Syria, Burma... but there is something in common with these countries... and I think actually they could pick almost any "islamic" country (Burma is mostly buddists and wants the muslim out) and there will be civilwar/genocide...
The problem in Syria is not the country itself, but those outside who oppose the country, (Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia..) and the problem in Burma is the radical Buddhist government
In fairness, no one wants to see a Canada special
@David
Ya it would just be white.
11:27 I love the way Hammond's vest is clearly a freshly laundered item, apart from the deliberate 'egg stain'.
They should have used more of these aerial drone shots in the actual episode, they're incredible.
My god I miss top gear the grand tour just isn't the same.
They need to do more challenges. Buy used cars and try to drive somewhere. Those episodes are gold
They've said they are going to stop filming seasons of the grand tour and just film 3/4 specials a year instead. They enjoy doing the road trips as much as we enjoy watching them. 👍
They said season 4 will be JUST THAT, I'm pretty happy about that :D
As has been said we can’t forget that they’re in their 50s and can’t keep up what they used to do
"I was the first to arive"
@@ZacharyLoftie-Eaton We're not talking about driving a lowered RX7 with welded rods for shocks through the Himalayas or anything, we mean like day-trips from like London to -shire something/or-another with a few funny challenges, and at the end of the day = They go home to their families.
IMO those early days had the funniest episodes, everything felt genuine, now it's all uber scripted from one end to the next.
That aerial interlude was sublime.
Distance lends enchantment.
Needle Noddle-noo 😕
Trying to sound smart buddy?
Lucas maybe if you can't comprehend his statement lol.. On the contrary, trying to be a twat eh?
There is no one in the whole world, who can replace these three masters of TV series. i have never ever seen any tv series except top gear, grand tour , and everything these three makes. they are immortal the legends the greatest tv presenter ever lived.
Holy crap. Hammond looks really fit in these clips. Very trim and toned up.
his sphincter is also well-toned
Patrick Todd Holy Beautiful
Patrick Todd your a boy
The Gamer and it seems that you might be an idiot
The Gamer yeah. I'm a "boy" a 25 year old boy.
I was moved to tears watching this. This type of automotive journalism will never be seen again after The Grand Tour is gone. There is literally no one who does it better than Mr. Wilman and the boys...
Jeremy doing one of his tributes or talking about how beautiful it was over this drone footage would have been amazing
I would literally watch an entire behind the scenes of just drone footage. That was gorgeous.
Having lived in Burma for a year I can say that it is a wonderful country and the people there are amazing I mean really down to earth people loved my stay there.
absolutely love the cinematography of the BBC crew. Hate the politics.
Everything the BBC makes? Good (mostly)!
The BBC itself? Makes me wonder how EA can possibly be a worse company.
The thing is, the crew on The Grand tour is pretty much the same crew they had on Top Gear. They're not messing about.
What's wrong with the BBC? Jeremy literally punched a work colleage. They covered for him tons of time but when you punch someone at work you have to be fired lol.
@@kateargent5750 he was an Irishman, not a real person.
Kate Argent Just pay the guy off.
How cool having Captain Hook as there mic man
That's Kiff the soundman! He did some nice driving on top of Jeremy in the "Top Gear vs. the Germans" episode!
TheLastCrusader22 untill his arm came off
- "Jeremy, my arm's come off!"
- "What?!"
- "My arm's come off!!!"
- "Nobody has ever said that in a car race before"

I love seeing this amazing footage. During WW2 my uncle Leslie was killed in Burma and is buried there in the war graves cemetery. God rest his soul.
I too had an uncle who was killed there during the war. Uncle Tom. Many don't even know that British forces fought the Japs in Burma. Great to see some of the country from the air. Beautiful filming too.
Hammond in mad good shape in the thumbnail
AVAVAV AVAVAV yeah he was fit.
I love how Hammond looks like that one alcoholic uncle who has recently been divorced
18:18 Am I the only one that wonders what the hell Mark Zuckerberg was doing there?
KingTwiggNL my goodness. That really looks like him.
Patrick Todd I know right!
Can’t be him too much facial expression
rare footage of him having emotions
The sculpted-like aerial scenes, along with that flowing music, almost made me weep for the beauty of it all.
I like this quieter, real version of the show
Just a question why not call the channel carcasm TV
Viontech Gaming that would be cargasm, but I get your point
Actually why not call it cargasm anyway?
Jeremy gives me a cargasm
- Viontech - you say that like it’s a bad thing
And stop going on about it!
My friends and I were lucky enough to spend a short while throughout Burma.. a truly beautiful place as are the people!!
Thank you for these outtakes, I love stuff like this, and from about 1:07 to 5:13 it's like watching one of David Attenborough's Planet Earth documentaries it's so nicely filmed. As far back as I can remember about Top Gear, the cinematography's been proper awesome with how the spectacular and grand beauty of this magically stunning Planet is shown. Nice one.
Also I'm surprised that James still has his nose because of the amount of times they've all tented together. I bloody hate snoring.
Why did the industry as a whole almost entirely stop putting outtakes and bloopers in the anything? In a lot of cases they were the best part
And somehow all that long drawnout suffering by production is turned into a single wonderful episode on the show.
0:52 - 5:09 - You know how when a video has the word "outtakes" in the title you assume it's lots of laughs and dicking about...? Really glad it wasn't all that.
That drone footage is fantastic, shame so much of it was cut from the show. At least it was saved and uploaded here so we can all enjoy it now.
The drone gliding over Birma, the black birds circling the temple-dome, the green, the water and most of all... the melancholic music stopped my breath and filled my eyes.
That drone footage....
It was beautiful, there’s simply no other words to describe it
I miss Top Gear guys, it was my entire childhood
1:05 to 5:10 one of the best footage ive ever seen with an equally beautiful background score
This is INCREDIBLE drone footage! Well done pilot!
They should release a DVD/Blu Ray of just the drone footage they have from all the various places they've been. Probably breathtaking stuff.
Released by Sonk ;)
17:34 - Immediately after Wilman says "You will see man things going on", the first person in view, doing something, is a woman.
I thought he said man, but I think he meant 'human' things.
I'm sure he said 'man things', but then he pointed at a pink generator and said it 'looks like a typical student bedsit' :o|
Was that the producer Jeremy punched or whatever it was?
@@SolidGeordieMGS nope
Great isn't it.
We all love the guys cocking about but wow, that drone footage is something else. Beautiful.
For everyone upset that Top Gear is gone. Don't be sad it's over, be happy you were there to see it happen.
It was a privilege growing up watching the trio, some of the best tv ever. Thank you Clarkson, May, Hammond and the BBC crew for all the good memories.
LOL william "I've got to lift that generator single handed, film everything, clean everything, nobody is doing anything"
There’s nothing more beautifully put together then the footage from the drone absolutely breathtaking and the historic monuments are beg as belief it’s the most beautiful thing that I’ve ever seen in my entire life.
That drone footage was amazing. So peaceful and beautiful. Love your fellow human, and love the world. It's a big place with lots of people and we can always help each other
Poo
That guy who is missing an arm at 11:47 is part of the grand tour crew. You can see him in the first part of the Columbia special.
Hammonds bicep in the thumbnail really just jumped out at me... I was like "Hammond has muscle!?... who knew"
The drone footage, good god, that gave me shivers along with the music choice. That is absolutely unreal
19:56 Messing with a spider for a minute or two, James realises it's got 8 legs.
"Prick"...it's small because it's chilly.
Boom
Ahthankyou😆
It really is a lot of hard work to make good looking content. So glad to see the behind the scenes footage. Pro's make everything look easy!
HAMMOND!! YOU'VE REVERSED INTO THE SPORTS LORRY!!
The country of Myanmar (Burma) was one of my favourite SE Asia countries I visited. Beautiful landscape, culture and the friendliest people!
Wow, saw a GoPro there. I still remember when GoPro got it's first massive popularity and here I thought it was not long ago. Time flies.
The beauty that is Burma! Fabulous. Thanks for sharing.
"I've got cheese growing there".... 13:55
Majestic aerial footage. Breathtaking...
If they included these kinds of behind scenes in the final film (grand tour) it would be funnier
But it was a Top Gear special...
its funny how deleted scenes and outtakes really just show awesome drone footage, and then how scripted the show actually is, lol
Not that scripted as new top gear shows.... it's easy to see how good in improvising and risk taking this 3 are! New top gear hosts with the best scripting in the world won't do the job this guys do!!!
In the very first shot when the drone camera came to screen, I found myself scanning the treetops for that transparent Predator shape.
The whole drone footage is absolutely spectacular!
I am glad I was able to watch this "Behind the scenes",
on my SONK 1080p radio.! :)
The music and drone shots at the beginning are just amazing
That first bit really got me..truly captured the essence of emotion
That drone footage just feel right with the journey.
Big applause for the drone and the operator
The child monk with the toy gun. Hm
Don't think he'll be a monk when he grows up haha.
It was that year that burma/myanmar committed genocide against its muslim population o.0
@@st-wq3kj awesome
Somehow it is also fairly common to see monk kids smoking or playing fps in comp shops at Thailand and Vietnam as well
That's a hell of a drone pilot. Breath-taking country.
9:06 such amazing moments with James may him just casually smoking a cigarette in the distance flipping off Jeremy Clarkson with a bunch of stuff in his hand 😂
That drone footage blew my mind!
I'm gonna have to watch this again. I don't remember it at all, especially the big trucks they were driving.
Superb filming from that drone. Absolutely wonderful.
drone footage with the music was amazing
ty for showing us what it was like as the camera crew. You guys did a great job. providing awesome specials . TY.
Such a beautiful country. Those BBC TG cinematographers were amazing that’s for sure
that drone footage is amazing i want to visit bhurma now
12:35 I love the random banter and shit-talking between Jeremy and Andy. Two funny blokes.
I did not expect the beginning of this video to be so peaceful. I fell asleep 😂
If you are afraid of spiders, avoid watching the part from 19:16 to 20:00. I've sacrificed myself for you! Thank me later. -_-

"OOOH, I'M VERY UNHAPPY! OOOOH, I'M SO UNHAPPY!!!"
Laerrus, ARE YOU FUCKING INSANE???????????
MikeVonDoom - It hasn't been decided yet. I guess you loved the linked video lol.
Laerrus, don't you ever do that again!!! Fucking Hell! Almost died in first second of the video!!!!
The tech'n with the prosthetic arm - outstanding!!! Kudos to him!
I love how serene it sounds at 1:26. You got birds tweeting and soft tyre noises over gentle orchestral music. When in reality its actually just 0:49 WHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Hammond complaining about the inconvenience of a mic bag when he sitting, while theres a 1 armed man chasing a millionaire around in 100% humidity to get him dressed 😂😂
Respect to lad still grafting 👍
Even to be there filming would've been a dream. I'm so jealous of these people's experiences. Incredible places and amazing adventures.
Okay I know this video so old but I just noticed the music is from medal of Honor warfighters lol
Randy Nguyen they used to use the Transformers theme too
The drone footage shows you how beautiful our planet is.
These guys are so naturally funny.
Whoever shot that drone footage deserves a million pounds and a knighthood.
Hammonds looking lean af here, fair play lad
12:04 didnt actually know that they are using mics like that and is that prosthetic hand?
Kif the Sound guy. He fought a shark, apparently. He also took part in front of the camera during the double decker racing against the german D-Motor show.
That drone footage coupled with the music is so relaxing.
Why wasn't the drone footage included... That was soo well done... The drone camera men must had been really depressed when they found out that their hard work is not making the final cut
Someone tell my why the drone footage was cut, It's so good.
“...This prevents you from malaria but when you put it with dirty fingers, it gives you typhoid”
drone footage plus music is just stunning
How could they cut all those beautiful drone scenes!?
The part with the drone is just sublime.
how dafuq did they delete the drone footage? this gave me goosebumps watching it
The music during the drone footage sounds like the theme from the Sarah Conner Chronicles. It was magnificent.
