Lovely interviews from masters. Thanks guys for sharing your gifts.
Those Scottish tunes just make me cry. I just love Mark and his music.
What a great video, in youtube split in 3 parts, don't miss them. Two of my many favourite musicians joined in dialogue, music, reflection , life memories. Enjoyed immensely soothing my old age in time ol illness and hardship, thanks gor posting this gem.
Aw, two of my favorite musicians just being casual; perfect! Thanks for posting!
So so good. Thank you kindly for this beautiful interview. You can see almost tears in Mark's eyes playing Piper to the End.
Great video. Mark is my favorite composer in my lifetime by a wide margin. Great in Dire Straits and I love his solo stuff too.
How did I miss all this first time round?
My world is a better place for people like this.
i love mark knopfler !
I loved watching this - didn't want it to end!
"Piper to the end" !!with accordéon its just fabulous....i love MARK knopfler..🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🇵🇹
"It's a real bonny tune..." Phil says it all right there.
This is how an interview should be conducted. Both people need to talk like friends. Mutual trust and respect is so important.
I completely agree.A fantastic meeting of two musical greats. And nice guys too.
They're two musicians. ...... and that's saying a lot!!!!!!!
Humility and integrity that the own way...thanks
I agree👍
So lovely Mark ❤❤❤
Mark, sei sempre il meglio... Invecchi come il buon vino.
GRAZIE DI ESSERCI!!
Thank you for this....beautiful.
Cada vez aprendo e admiro mais!! Que presente! 👑👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎸🎶
@SpiritLevelBubble - Exactly what I was thinking. MK seems to enjoy the moment so much, which isn't so common when he does these TV things.
I keep learning more about Mark, left handed, and now a Scottish background.
2:51 Romeo and Juliet, "it's a happy sound"
El final es hermoso, qué voz
Adorei 🎸🇧🇷
Amo tanto...quanta emoção! 💯❤️🤩
seeing this made my week. thanks max.
@AlexKeith7 - ;),, The Dire Straits book aren't overflowing, but you always have "Dire Straits" by M. Oldfield which doesn't cover the band's complete history (as released '84), but it's really nice as it's authorized by the band.

UA-cam has been put to good use...
Dogswede1, when I told you that you're my personal here some month ago, I was not kidding.
Could you tell which is, in your opinion, the best book about Dire Straits ever been published? Thank you very much :)
Funny accent, but lovable!
What Phil said about Mexico? (Sorry! I'm not an english native speaker)
In the school he had a teacher who said: "You are a waster, going nowhere and do nothing!" (=loser)
3-4 years later he toured in Mexico and Bermuda he sent postcards to the teacher "Dear Sir, here I am in Bermuda, where the hell are you???"
Just stumbled upon this...brilliant. Two top musicians 👍😎...
Very nice watch this. Amazes how a little penny whistle can sound so nice in the right hands...
Such a lovely series, thanks for sharing.
I've listened to Mark's music for 2 decades now, when Phil lays off the accordion and the vocals kick in, wow man. The unmistakable combination of Knopfler's voice and playing got me choked up. Absolutely unbelievable
Only Knopfler could get a dinosaur named after him:=)
this gave me goosebumps, thanks for uploading
Wonderful video. Thank you for the music Mark, long may you produce!
Mk just loves to sit and play he seems so happy like that
@SpiritLevelBubble
Mark studied journalism! :p
love this docu. it indeed doesnt feel like a interview. iets more like a conversation between 2 friends that havent seen each other for a long time.
When they play together it almost brings tears to your eyes.
It brings tears to your eyes.
Thanks for posting. I started out just wanting t o hear Mark's speaking voice, to compare it to his singing voice, but found this "interview" so interesting I listened to all 3 clips straight through.
If more people'd listen Mark Knopfler's music . The world would be much, much better. When the next war will start we should bombs the enemies with CD's of ''MK.
thank you for posting. mark is great as always
Only Knopfler could get a dinosaur named after him:=)
