This was really helpful. I wish they would separate shorts from long form videos. Those seem to get so much more views for me, but doesn't seem like the numbers really count. Having on same graph feels misleading.
Thanks for this in-depth lesson. I took a break from my channel from November '23 until February "24 for the sake of my health - to avoid burnout. Also, because what I was doing that was growing my channel, and still is, is something that I no longer wanted to do. Understandably, the views dropped right off when I stopped posting and now that I've been posting again since March things are improving. However, I have changed direction somewhat - from glue books to sketching and painting - so I expect that I'll lose some subscribers. I also expect it will take a while to attract a new audience. At least now I'm focusing on a topic that has been my first love for many years, so I have lots of material and interest to keep going. Any thoughts?
Regarding your comment about not seeing an increase in comments…Your last video showed up in my feed and so I checked it out and really resonated with your perspective. This prompted me to check out your channel and subscribed but didn’t comment. Maybe I’m not a typical user but wanted to share 😊
