It's good to know that if you take the trip off if you get 31 inch tires under it with a 1 inch lift. I used to build rock crawlers with Toyotas and do a lot of off-roading for the last 30 years of my life trick with a ditch like that is to take it it up 40 or 45 degree angle and that way he won't get high centered. With a lot of water crossings you want to make sure that the breather vents on your transmission, differentials etc have snorkels. Also make sure that you change door fluids after a lot of water crossing
Cool review. Good vid for 31s I have 01 stock height went with 215/75R15. General Grabber AT2 stock wheels. Minor rubbing front. Back rubs when loaded down on highway. Didn't remove any trim or wheel wells
I want another small utilitarian 4wd like a Chevy Tracker or CR-V. Just something about a simple vehicle with big windows, and the freedom that a simple 4wd system gives you in a vehicle that is easy to drive and you’re not worried about scratching up. New Jeeps are amazingly capable and look awesome, but at $40k, I would never feel good about off roading it. Enjoy your rig. Be safe n have fun!
Samurais are straight diffs design and they have really superb weight distribution, so they are extremely capable. Have you noticed that most of challenges to Samurais, has the Sammy with stock tires to make things a little more even. And they even have the Jeeps with lockers and the Sammy with open diffs.
It was a 2000 I believe awd with a 1.5 inch lift and I had to cut out the plastic trim around the fenders but that’s about all you need . Very fun little car 👍
I run 30’s on my manual 99. I do trailing in the PNW. If you don’t have em I suggest some trailing arm spacers and adjustable control arms, I have an old man emu lift kit on it and probably gonna do a subframe drop for the suspension ware.
@@Jeepthings Problem might be getting back on the HY and not only getting horrible mpg, but getting up to speed and keeping it there, being there, done that, many times...
You said 31’s but what’s the exact tire size ? I was gonna do the 2 inch lift in the rear and the 1 inch in the front from aerogenics and run maybe some 29’s instead of 31’s
Honestly it’s been so long since I’ve had it that I don’t even remember what I had lol but I did cut the plastic lip on the fenders and quarters gave me a ton of room
@@Jeepthings if the spacers have 1/2" studs you can fit 12mm spacers on top as well. i have the same exact setup atm with the jeep wheels/31" tires with 0 rubbing. although i had to cut into the front bumper more.
Spence i want to lift mine just dont have the money at this time thy had one on offer up one time lifted green it was nice 6500 clean i fell in love with it didnt have the cash some day ill do mine
The more people keep overlanding their CR-V the more scarce they’ll become. So if you have a clean unmolested CR-V hold on to it
Nice crv dude. Always down with crv content.
That’s brotha wish I could make more videos of but unfortunately she is gone

That’s the size I was going to do first but got a super good deal on the 31s from my brother so the chopping of the fenders was worth it it
May just need to hammer in the steel lips in the wheel wells.
Interesting modification. People seem to love their 1st gen CRV’s.
I just picked one up and can't wait to mod it, there's plenty of reasons for people to love their first gen ( and second gen)
nice!

I agree with you 100% and thank you for commenting I enjoying hearing from you guys 🤘
Chevy Tracker, great Suzuki vehicle. Only weak link was the automatic transmission, made by Chevy...
I don’t know much about those but I’ve seen the samurai and those are badass

That’s crazy but makes sense I’d love to do a Sammy build one day
Nice crv. What year and model did you have to get for the wheels to exactly fit. My nephew just got a crv and wants a build similar. 👍🏼

Agreed!
You recorded more videos about the Jeep wheel rims replaced on the CRV. Thanks.
Nice machine
Did you need adapters to run those jeep wheels on the Crv?
Yes
Don't you feel the vibration when you get to 80km/h??
I didn’t at all actually nice and smooth for the mud tires it had
31 inch will take away a lot of power. You would need to install higher gears, but there are none for these vehicles.
Agreed and it did take a lot of power but it still had enough to do mild wheeling the only issue was sand hills

I honestly don’t remember but I don’t own it anymore unfortunately
What is the year and model of jeep those wheels came off of? Its exactly the look I was looking for.
I believe 2006 Jeep liberty
Nice video I have 235 75 15 and rear lift 2.5 front 1.5 do you think I can put245/75/15

Ok thank you any way good video
No problem and Thank you!
put some spacers on if you still have it!!! that will fix the rubbing
I had 1” spacers already

oh you know what, i just read you used 1.5" spacers, that makes sense. im running 3" spacers
Oh yea that is true I had 1.5” spacers it. I don’t remember too much about it considering I had to sell it a year ago unfortunately
just curious did you have a drop down kit to fix axle vibration?
There was no axle vibration it was only a 1 1/2 inch lift I believe
bro did you use any wheel spacers and what is the tire number thanks
Yea I used 1” wheel spacers and the tire size was 245-75-16
How thick are your wheel spacers?
1” thick
What size tires are on the gen 1 in this video ?
31 inch
i like them lifted were im from philly thy have them lowerd thy look nice but i feel there made to be lifted but thats just me .
Yea I’ve seen the lowered ones too pretty cool but I agree with you I feel they need to be lifted.
Yea I’ve seen the lowered ones too pretty cool but I agree with you I feel they need to be lifted.
i have not lifted mine yet i had two of them my son ruined one there very good i do alot of mecanic work my self.
Fun little vehicle. I miss mine honestly
Spence i want to lift mine just dont have the money at this time thy had one on offer up one time lifted green it was nice 6500 clean i fell in love with it didnt have the cash some day ill do mine
More crv videos!
Unfortunately I don’t have the crv anymore
did the lift affect your alignment
I believe it did a little however I just did a home alignment and worked great
@@Jeepthings thanks
This has the part time 4wd/AWD? I heard only the manual CRV do but I’m not sure whether it’s true or not
Yea its awd automatics have them too not just the manuals
What’s the mpg
Sorry for the late response but I never checked the mpg s I’m sure it wasn’t too good
Jumpy camera work.
Do you not know how to turn the wipers off the water was gone after a second of them being on
😂😂 my bad
Your tires are too big for your little CRv.
What’s the mpg
Not sure didn’t ever do a video on it but no longer own it
