- The NEW T-Mobile Welcome Back Ad. Filming of the new T-Mobile Welcome Back Ad. T-Mobile flash mob adverts at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5, 27 October 2010 10am. How to hijack a brand? With a flashmob. This is a longer version of this flashmob advert which will be shown on 80 TV channels on Friday 29 October.

Man this is awesome. Thanks for uploading this. It's neat to see the advert when it isn't the professional filming. You get more of a sense of how absolutely amazing it must have been to be there.
4:32 "Come on- sway with me, brother!" Great line. Yep it was done more than once to get it right- don't know if the official ad was one take that turned out perfect, or clips from different takes. Whatever, it's great.

I Thought they did all the songs for diffrent adverts at diffrent times but all at the same time :D
There is a full version The song was recorded in the 70's by Peters and Lee
It obviously took more than one take and would have achieved different responses, hence there being slightly different versions :) none the less...great feel good video. I think it is great!
@SoftRazor12 @SoftRazor12 You need to keep an eye on these events. I got a sense that this would happen when T-Mobile announced that they'll show it on Friday. I did a Google alert on it and on Tuesday evening there was already a buzz about it and on Wednesday morning I knew it would happen on that day so I went to Terminal 5 and I spend 1 hour filming it on my new iPhone 4. I edited it on iPhone and posted from it to UA-cam. I was one of the first people to do it so it got most views. Neat fun
They obviously did this more than once: the people coming out to the airport are different from those in the "official" ad. The guy who gets targeted for "Return of the Mack" here looks like he's pretty much trying to run away!

How many times was this shot? I ask because the older Asian man, who sings to a BAA security employee in the video released by T-Mobile, sings to somebody completely different in this version.
i know they didnt just do one video i mean why flash cuz on the advert they show the same singers but the passengers are different so i wonder how many times did they have to do that over and over to get the right views that is presented in the advert
Im properly confused, in this version the "oh my god" guy sings to a guard with a hat on, but in the t-mobile version the guard doesn't have a hat on
Because they did this many times and chose the right one with the best reactions as the advert

Why in the actual advert they follow different people or like the Indian man sings to a different person?

Looks like they did this more than once.. The guy the indian sings to in the T-mobile ad isn't wearing a red hat or holding a walkietalkie like in this one...

This was obviously a dress rehearsal of the real thing.

@MezzieB21 im from LA los angeles area my self and im asking tmobile the same question cuz this is really different to see and would be great at lax finding talent wont be hard to find since we live in the city of the stars haha
The cameraman who started singing at 3:30 ruined the video.
@tallguy932k8 yeah and when she sing return of the man with that guy its a different man, before it was a young man with a guitar on his back and black glasses this time it was an old man :L
This new ad was boring. Previous one in Liverpool Street was good.
