There is something profound about culture meeting ordinary life. We will look back and think that while You Tube is crass...it is also essentially HUMAN. and fills people with such Joy. That's what I like. Look at those guys...never do they drop their guard , they give their all . Joy to the Chorus! She is so good!!! And he is amazing

There are other opera arias besides Verdi's Brindisi from La Traviata.

Opera is so magnificent and many shoppers had a look ... so, if you unfamiliar with opera, do yourself a favor and dive into it. Singers are truly spectacular. Thank you!!!!

@@pammcdanYes, nicely done. But the reason why it didn't go viral is that it's supposed to be a quartet with chorus, not a duet. They stripped it down; unfortunate.

La rondine a fabulous opera by puccini,rarely staged today,its full of beautiful arias,and very well sung here,and much better than the usual la traviata and carmen than so many pop up opera crowds do.a big thumbs up for tenor and soprano

My grandmother was engaged to a performer in a big theatrical company, which included a Wagnerian opera singer. When my grandmother had her baby, she suggested the name Mavis, would ensure her of a beautiful voice. Alas, tone deaf. But my mum taught us to love opera, and it is a pleasure I cherish!

Planned "spontaneity". And very well sung They could so easily have been embarrassed but they did a first class job.

an opera lover for 50 years, I have seen many great singers on the most beautiful stages in the world. These singers are not the best in the world but I like this way of bringing opera into everyday life. I love seeing the bright eyes of people who come to shop and find themselves bathed in the music, and the joy it gives them. Congratulations to all ...

Aphoresis Ha-ha. Ha. I used to be able to, but I haven't had lessons in years. My dad was a singing teacher, and before that an opera singer. We know plenty of theatre and music people here, but I don't know how easy it would be to organise a flash mob. It'd be fun to do it in the middle of the city.

Opera.. the greatest form of entertainment. Some of those people there were freaked out. I guess not opera lovers. And then you have those that immediately pull out their phones.

Es increíble, aca en Chile estamos a años luz de poder escuchar esta maravillosa musica, cuanto daría porque nuestras autoridades incentiven a los músicos a actuar en parques, estaciones de metro, plazas de esta manera.

Love most of the Puccini arias and this was beautiful. Did anyone else notice how nicely the majority of ordinary shoppers dressed. I've see some youtube videos shot in America (walmart) and you can't believe anyone would even go outside their home looking like they do
