I used Nvidia's downloadable cleaner tool on 2? occasions over 15 years or so. Aside from that utilizing the standard installer & performing a clean install has served me well.
Well it might make things run a little better but what it won’t do and never will do is get rid of shader comp stuttering or traversal stuttering in a game. So when someone makes a video saying they can get rid of stuttering. Take it with a huge grain of salt. Shader and Traversal stuttering that is in about 99 percent of UE games can’t be fixed by such solutions. It’s a dev issue. Not a driver issue.
LouieBaLLz...He said it removes stutters and latency.Stutters are easy to demonstrate. RTSS is a onscreen graph that shows hicups in FPS. He could have run some games before re-installing the drivers. Then run the same games after and shown the improvements. Not 1 youtuber has shown postive results. They just show how to use the program.
I've watched other youtube videos on installing this software but none provide a lick of evidence you gain a thing.I'm all for taking the steps if there are clear benefits. Why are there no benchmarks?
Funny story I got for ya. I usually use DDU for driver uninstalls. Lately my PC was acting weird after a Windows update. I was getting green screen crashes only while gaming on a 4090. I knew it had to be software related so I downloaded the latest drivers for Nvidia and for a quick fix decided to just do an in place install/update keeping all my previous settings. It worked. No more green screen crashes. Sometimes it just works without needing to clean previous driver installs.
I should try this out next time Brian. My card is working just fine at the moment. But yeah this looks good and never heard of these methods of removing components I'll never use. Usually I just breeze through using snappy driver to fetch every driver for my video card and as such installs that bloat. I don't game much anymore these days, it's mostly for video conversion and editing purposes primarily. But I think the next time I need to fix these issues or a corrupted installation I will run this. 😊😊
These tools shouldn’t really be used at all. Removing the "bloat" from Nvidia GPUs could cause problems with games or the PC itself. One thing to mention is that your PC is likely powerful enough not to notice any performance drop from the "bloat," so it wouldn’t make much difference. I’d recommend removing bloat from Windows instead. It’s safer, more reliable, and a more trustworthy way to improve performance.
Good to know. Is DDU display driver uninstaller better than NVCleanstall? Also, I personally like and use NVIDIA GeForce Experience: I use it to record videos.
There was a video i uploaded awhile back on here and i didnt relise the sound of one of my cats coughing up a hair ball was picked up lol awesome video as always
No, I´ve used it years ago and it only game me problems. It will save some system resources if you have an old PC but if you have a decent rig the performance impact from all the Nvidia additional software is negligible, and you may end up needing some of it to profit from the latest features. This video is 90% clickbait.

If this actually works, why didn't you share any results / proof that after running it your GPU worked better?

@@PhotoJohn80 No one has proven it does that either.
I'm siding with some of the other skeptical commenters. If this method works why are there no before and after use case examples?
Did I miss where he said there was some kind of performance gain? I think all this does is remove most of the bloat from the drivers.

I use NVclean and DDU for quite some time and im not looking back

There is nothing like a nice and clean install with all the BS takin' out. Im going to do this when I get time. Thank you, Brian.
Glad to help

Does it make any real performance difference. Probably a benchmark before and after to reinforce its worth doing. Thanks 😀
Thank you. Is there anything available to test the graphics card to see if everything is working fine?

Can't remember who asked, but thanks for the request.
*_You_* might be installing NVIDIA graphics drivers wrong, but _I'm_ using an *AMD RX 6950 XT* in _my_ gaming build. 😆

Doesn't anyone use "Geforce Experience"?
I don't trust downloading 3rd party cleaner software

DDU is great

I don't use it, need to test to see if there is improvements
