      eh idk rocket league takes alot more time in terms of practice because the game is so mechanical. A lot of the things they were asking don't really have simple answers and would take someone of their skill level 100s of hours to improve on so idk what they really expected. Also coaching a silver is very differnt to coaching someone high level as the game is extremely different in terms of what you should and shouldn't do so justin was just tryna keep it simple and focus on them not all going for the same ball and confusing each other which they even struggled at that. I would've preffered if justin had focused on trying to improve their mechanics like telling them how to practice and maybe showing them some simple stuff like how to wavedash

      Yeah its a free physics game which always leads to extremely steep learning curves. Games like these were more common back in the day, on things like arena shooters with quake 3, when gaming was only popular amongst a more niche hardcore community. The normie gamer era came right after though, and kinda killed these very competitive games to appease a more casual audience, and make them feel like everyone could win without that much time investment. These games got massively popular for obvious reasons as the majority of gamers were new to gaming and didnt really want to sweat much even in comp games. Lately more games have started going back to the high skill cap meta though, since gaming is already mainstream popular and kids grow up playing comp games and look for a harder challenge where effort and grind pays off soon enough. Thats were games like rocket league, where the skill gap is so huge you can straight up solo demolish multiple players of a couple or just 1 full rank below, start getting popular again.

      So what you do is spend 100 hours of freeplay flying for the ball in the air. Then spend another 100 hours practing hitting the ball off the sidewall. Then another 100 flying after the ball after u hit it. And then you'll know what to do

    It's so difficult explaining things to new players in this game, there are obviously some fundamentals but you can't really teach things like car control/most mechanics, and positioning is extremely situational. You kinda just play enough until you've seen every possible scenario and know how it plays out and trying to break those down gets confusing

    • @JakYTTV
      @JakYTTV Рік тому

      yh problem is they don't even have the baseline mechanics to be taught what they should and shouldn't do since they are not capable of doing it so justin was focusing on making them not all going for the same ball and confusing eachother, they even struggled at that.

  • @trumporbiden2024clips

    a better strat would have been to tell justin hes not allowed to dodge on kickoffs gives them a chance to hit the ball LOL

    The number one problem with people getting into rocket league is they want to go from being shit to start doing all the stuff that gets highlights right off the bat, even basic aerials arent needed for a while as you climb up the ranks. No one and I mean no one gets to that level that fast. Its a fun game when you stick to playing at how youre comfortable playing but if you want to move up in ranks and play competitively, much like any other game, you got to put in work.

    1: xQc starts playing RL
    2: He's not very good and screams a lot
    3: People give him little advices (literally 5 to 10 words in a sentence) about how to improve quickly
    4: He screams how he want to "Enjoy the game as it is" and we're dumb
    Final step: After realising that losing and not knowing wtf you're doing isn't that fun, he tries to learn
    That was very obvious from the start. Winning and playing good is fun in every game and losing is not :)
    It always frustrates me to watch when someone wants to play something, but doesn't want to read how to do it and ultimately doesn't know what's happening on the screen. It's a waste of time playing that way, because you'll have to read anyway. Often people want to do something as if they have 5 minutes to live.

      @joelikesthings Рік тому +1

      bro JSTN was trying so hard to get XQC to stop chimping after the ball lol. Lowkey he needed to whip out paint and show X why rotations are so useful. Most the goals in 3s are XQC's fault from cutting rotation.
      edit: Plus you could tell JSTN was kinda nervous, and he's talked before about how he thinks he's the worst person at explaining things. He needed to just talk more about "this is how it's good to flip into the ball. When you're going supersonic you don't need to boost"
