At 32 I’ve covered everything I need to get my fathers legacy sorted in his death. The only one left for my legacy for my kids to have is seb. I don’t care the cost but one day hopefully there’s a meet and greet and I can fulfil it for my kids. They can do what they want with 3-4 generations of F1 memorabilia then

Hope he comes back when Audi takes over Sauber 2026. They already announced that they´d want him as their driver and I think after he had some time to collect himself after Ferrari he could be world champion material again, or at least be a supporting driver for Sainz (if I remember correctly he hasn't renewed his Ferrari contract and Ferrari announced that he'll be going to Sauber-Audi too) so he can get a WC.

Vettel’s period of dominance included two of the most competitive seasons in the history of the sport. His ability to perform under pressure during that time was astounding - especially given his age. Seeing him grow as a person over the years has been a great privilege too. Ngl, it’s gonna be weird not seeing his name among the other 19 drivers, but his legacy will remain prominent forever.

“There’s no one that’s better at controlling the race from the front then Sebastian Vettel.” -Horner
That very trait from Seb was the reason why he won his first race in a midfield car, dominated in his RB, and challenged the much faster Mercedes and often finishing over 30 seconds ahead of the non-Mercedes pack when his car shouldn’t have the pace on paper.

Seb got under alot of fans skin for a reason that takes a few years reflection to figure out.....he took his purpose (winning titles and constructor championships) seriously, but he didn't take himself so seriously that his entire sense of worth was on trial every 5 seconds like a Hamilton or Webber.
Seb just didn't need to be constantly praised to get out bed in the morning like some of his contemporaries did.

Sebs retirement hit home for me. When I saw that he made an Instagram account I was soo happy. But when my dad said, it seems like he has smth to announce I had a bad feeling. When he put out the message to retire mid day in Europe, I was on my way for the 24h of Spa and just started crying in a public train.
See I was born in 1998 in Germany in the middle of the Schumi hype. I was brought into F1 earlier then I could speak but up until 2006 I was too young to comprehent who Michael was and what he achieved. I craved for my hero to root for. Along came Seb in 2007 and I was a fan from the first moment. I still have very living memories about China 2007 and Monza 2008. Through Seb´s career I grew from a boy to a men. And Seb was always there. I never ever questioned following or supporting him and with him becoming the personality he is now, I am very proud to say that one of the most recognizeable athletes of our time is my idol and hero. And I was there from the beginning, atleast in F1. Abu Dhabi brought me to tears several times, as his career is not just tied to his achievements on track but also core memories of my own childhood and youth life.
Seb has not just racked up all this stats, he also took influence on the personality of thousands of kids out there, and I am one of them. And those marks will always stay there, they can´t be forgotten. If I talk about the greatness of Seb with friends nowadays we talk predominantly about the person Seb and not just the racer, which for a 4 time world champion is just quite astonishing.
If someone asks me, who is my childhood hero, I´ll forever proudly say Seb. I´ll never forget this incredible time, the victories and defeats, the memories, friends and experiences I made because of that.
Danke Seb! Niemand wird dir je das Wasser reichen können.

With the greatest of respect to Josh I think it’s embarrassing that TV studios and the main broadcasts of the sport itself could not even come close to how good a UA-cam video is.

I've grown-up watching Seb establishing his name in the history of F1! At the USA GP, back in 2013, he said one of the most remarkable phrases "he have to remember these days, because we don't know when they'll end." Wow, I don't often post comments but now I have to. Seb has been my idol in F1 since I was a child, when I get nostalgic I always think back to the purple RB9 with Vettel for some reason. Respect how you pay tribute to him with the video. Sure, he made mistakes and didn't archive the world championship with Ferrari, but he still achieved so much. Danke Seb

Unpopular opinion: i like abu dhabi as the last race FOR THE SOLE REASON that it is a night race, having a night race be the end of the season just gives it a much better send off and feeling of closure to the year and seeing all the interviews and celebrations at night just feels that bit more like a wrap to the year

Incredible video Josh. Seb has been my hero and inspiration since the age of 7 and now at the age of 22 and still a huge fan of his. This reminded me just how incredible he is. The scenes and narration in this video provoke reminiscing about the incredible era that he participated in F1 and that I was lucky enough to grow up watching. Unfortunately the sport will be missing a huge asset next year, but he will always remain my hero. Thank you, this made my day.

My god man, that was such a beautiful video. I started watching F1 in 2021, thanks to drive to survive. I liked him for the way he presented himself in the interviews. Now when I look back, I don't know how I fell in love with that man. His announcement video gutted me. His highlights in the last 2 years excited me. The way the whole paddock payed tribute to him stunned me. If I had been following F1 since you guys have, i probably would have cried watching the video where Alonso held his hand as he was getting ready to race, and telling him "I will take care of you". Thank you so much for this love Letter from a fan to a legend.

The production on this one is amazing! For much of his career I disliked him, I was a huge Webber fan and thought Seb was arrogant for much of his RB run... It was in the years when him and Lewis were competing closely I noticed how much of a good guy he was, while the "fans" of both drivers tore each other apart online, him and Lewis battled hard and had nothing but nice things to say about each other (most of the time)
Danke Seb, you will be missed massively by F1, I hope your future endeavours bring about the change this world really needs!

I always am a Michael Schumacher fan, but I never realized how much "more attached" I am to Sebastian Vettel since I was there watching F1 from the start of his career to the very end. As I do notice his midfield performances and indeed a fan in his Red Bull days, seeing every aspect from the domination, the highs and lows, and every win and loss.
All I can say for now is #DankeSeb. It's been a pleasure seeing you race on track.

When I was visiting the Singapore for my 9th birthday, my family and I went to the ferris wheel above the circuit, and all I think of was him. Him being the best one there (of course he is, it was 2013).
I was not big a fan of F1 when I was at my younger teens. I was a big drifting guy, and F1 was just out of my interests back then, but I occasionally see clips pop up on my youtube recommended, and I basically grew up seeing him in Ferrari.
But then 2020 came, pandemic and shit, and also the rise of F1 onto the main mainstream. Of course, I watched it, and I felt BAD. I wanted to see the Scarlets to be on that top step. And then seeing him leave Ferrari genuinely scared me. I thought he'll retire, but then he joined Aston Martin. At that point, people either think he is going to retire or do a Schumacher and build a top team. I myself thought of those two too, but as the time went, it was kinda clear which one is a fact.
Then the creation of his IG. I immediately thought that he might just try social media. But there it came. His announcement of his retirement. It was very sad for me to see, since this is probably the first time I see a hero of mine to retire. So him saying that he will be forgotten, I hope he knows that he is also the reason why some of us are now F1 fans.

Cried tears... I am 50+ but I was sobbing at this wonderfull video. A tribute to the man I followed and have been a fan of since he first debuted, Who finally showed the aggression on track that Senna had and brought my beloved Jordan team on top of the step.
And yes all the spins in the later years had me shouting to the screen as well, I never forget these years with Vettel. And how lucky we are with another Senna/Alonso/Vettel driver in Verstappen.
He also is booed at for his arrogance and hard racing. But in 2030 everyone will remember Verstappen as well as we do Vettel.
