My kids are 19 and 14 now. Those baby days are ROUGH. Just try to remember it won’t be forever. Each stage is hard, but they will all be different. One day you’ll sleep again, you’ll be able to a shower when you want to, leave the house without as much hassle. Other things will be harder, but some things will be easier. The changes help. Sleep was the thing that almost did me in. For years I thought I was an angry person. Turns out I was just sleep deprived. (Time for mantra “this wont be forever”). And remember you ARE working a lot. You are working 24/7 now. You’re keeping a human alive and raising her. It’s the hardest work.
Thank you so much for this. Definitely helpful to hear.. everything is a season! Hopefully I’m a much less angry person once I’m sleeping more as well haha.
Even as a mom of a 6 year old, so much of this video spoke to me. I remember feeling so much of what you talked about. It is so hard and such a huge change that you can’t comprehend until you’ve been thru it. ❤
I somehow needed to hear this! Thank you for saying everything you just did, my baby boy is just 9months old and it feels like I’ll never get out of it so reading this brings me peace 💛
My baby is now 16 years old and this video was the sweetest to watch made me remember fondly of my time adjusting to being a new mother. My son’s early years were the best years of my whole life. I’m so happy for you and wish you and your lil family all the best!
My daughter is 12 so I'm navigating this phase as best as I can let me tell you! I remember when I first had her I felt like I was having an identity crisis. On the inside I knew I was changing but I was so used to be the person I was before my baby. I swear I've changed into several people over the past few years! Now I'm 40 so life has taken a whole new meaning♡ P.S. I am getting ready for Spring, repotting all of my plants. I bought clear containers to put inside my cache pots and bought the BIG bag of DeLa Tanks soil (was just delievered today thru Amazon!!). Super excited for Spring and Summer...my favorite space becomes my oasis (my balcony!). And all my plants come alive...and hummingbirds come back♡♡ Wishing you a happy Spring!
This is a really uplifting video! My baby is 22 months & I’m 33ish weeks into my second with over 100 plants 🤪 It really does take a village! Right now my village is just me, my husband, & his mom. We all work, so the idea of a second baby & balancing everything else, taking attention away from my first borne, it’s all so overwhelming 😣 Hang in there! I loved those affirmations & need to remember them myself 😅
Congrats on the almost new addition :) I’m so glad you have another trustworthy adult around in your village! I’m sure that makes such a difference. Also glad you liked the affirmations ❤️
You've basically described my life for the past 15 months. Although I never wanted kids until I hit 30. I never thought being a mum would be so amazing. It was hard going from a workaholic to balancing everything but I have somewhat worked it all out now. ❤ Thank you for voicing how other mums feel too!
It is SO hard! I never realized how much of a workaholic I was/am until having a baby and being so limited on what I can do. Hoping that more time will balance it out for me as it seems to have for you :)
Love your videos. So happy you’re working through everything the best you can. Motherhood was hard for me and my son is now 19. Cherish every minute. So happy you’re doing the affirmations and meditation. We do have to give our best to ourselves as well because we’re important too. We are enough. Thank you for sharing.
Yep I thought the "babies don't sleep" thing was like, a few all nighters with a newborn but...8 years later I'm still catching up on the sleep deprivation from pregnancy, 2 kids and all the night waking. I chose never to sleep train and have zero regrets in that way but I sleep in and nap when I can to help 😊
Oh my gosh 😩 I texted my mom a few months ago asking if she sleeps now like she did before kids and she said no LOL sleep changed forever! We also aren’t sleep training.. can’t bring myself to do it.
Loved earing about how you're doing, it's great and brought me back a few years when the kids were babies! And remember if one thing is constant with kids is that things are changing/evolving all the time;p Also each stage has something to love about them!
Mom guilt is a big ol you know what. I deal with it constantly my kiddos are 5 and 2 and I have to constantly remind myself that it's ok to not want to be always 100% of the time with them. And it's ok to take 30 min (or more ) to just zone out and recharge.
@BeccaDeLaPlants yea the other day I felt guilty not sharing a cookie with my kids then I quickly snapped myself out of it. I said "damn it it's just a friggen cookie eat it!!!"
Hi. Where did you get that rack on top of the bucket? I put a rack on top of my bucket to water my plants but it’s square shape but I’d love to have a round one that’s fit the bucket.
oh my gosh the sleep deprivation of motherhood just changed me as a person 🙃 I’m finally feeling more like myself now that my youngest is getting closer to 18 months
I feel like it wasn´t long ago that you put that anthurium in the 3D printed pot, can´t remember how big the roots where at that time, but holly molly is that a big bowl of noodles :D I fell like the pot is of disappointing quality, the bottom part you pealed off looks very thin. I would tell the seller what happened with pictures or a link to the video. Not to get any money back, but it sounds like they might need to make them a bit more sturdy. I have a 5 year old, she is very careful with my plants. I would always guide her to touch them carefully and show her, maybe guide her to a plant that isn´t too fragile ;) For a while she always wanted to water my plants, especially if she saw me water them. I would just let her water my 3 big plants (monstera deliciosa, umbrella tree and cowboy cactus) with relatively big pots, that can handle a extra sip of water without any fuss and take it into account for my regular waterings if needed. Now she has her own plant, a small golden pothos that was a cutting of my massive one. She is very exited about every leaf, talks to it and gently strokes the leaves. Not every day but at least one a week I would say, it´s so adorable and totally her idea. I just really have to pot it up together with her, it´s still in water and looking a bit pale.
I have so much respect for parents (especially moms who do most or all of the child rearing). I can't imagine having to take care of another human all the time while doing other things I love LMAO

Becca I like the bucket you use to water plants with do you remember where you got it or is it a diy
Saw this and thought I would help! It’s a Planta Potty!
Mom guilt is a big ol you know what. I deal with it constantly my kiddos are 5 and 2 and I have to constantly remind myself that it's ok to not want to be always 100% of the time with them. And it's ok to take 30 min (or more ) to just zone out and recharge.
It’s the worst! I’m having to learn that right now.
@BeccaDeLaPlants yea the other day I felt guilty not sharing a cookie with my kids then I quickly snapped myself out of it. I said "damn it it's just a friggen cookie eat it!!!"
The way that pot just disintegrated..??? 😮😮😮😮😮
Hi. Where did you get that rack on top of the bucket? I put a rack on top of my bucket to water my plants but it’s square shape but I’d love to have a round one that’s fit the bucket.
It’s called a PlantaPotty :)
What are the plants called you repotted?:)
1. Monstera Thai constellation
2. Anthurium regale
3. Anthurium magnificum hybrid of some sort!
@@BeccaDeLaPlants thank you!!🥰🥰
oh my gosh the sleep deprivation of motherhood just changed me as a person 🙃
I’m finally feeling more like myself now that my youngest is getting closer to 18 months
Yep I feel perpetually irritated 🤣😩 hoping I’ll have a similar experience to you!

+ 1 on more motherhood content, regardless of the channel
You got it ❤️❤️
