How fate is connected with dreams? Morpheus is God of Dreams, not of Fate. And each time Kratos awakening or escaping the dream would be just another dream. He even can go all the route, destroy entire Olympus and kill Zeus only to find out it all was just a dream. Kratos was losing the final fight in GoW2 till he faked defeat. In the Gow2 novel especially Kratos was in serious danger vs Zeus By the end of GoW3 he surpassed him solidly Also Zeus could have oneshotted Kratos in the GoW1 novel when Kratos still needed stuff like Pandoras box to face Ares Zeus was superior to Kratos most often than not. There are only 3 or 4 instances where Kratos surpassed him

Mental games and dreams do not work on him for prolonged periods of time, and the arrogance of the gods prevents them from defeating kratos in combat. Zeus only beat Kratos after he was already wounded at the only time we saw Kratos be arrogant during battle.

I think if they had been in the games, well some of them were, but other than Zeus if Kratos had fought them, he would've won, for 1 it would be strange for him to lose and them to try to continue the story past that, and for 2 I think he would've found his way, just like he did with Zeus.
