  • In this video, we'll show you how to drill a rock to make a unique DIY water feature! I've always wanted to drill through rock in order to create one of these bubbling rocks to include in our growing aquascape. Our buddy Ethan from @amencornerponds will drill through this rock so we can turn it into a bubbling rock water fountain.
The finished product by Amen Corner Ponds is going to be incredible!

Looking at this drill zoomed in, it’s from United Rentals. I went to their website and believe the drill used here is a Concrete Core Drill, 15 Amps, Handheld. They rent all sorts of bit sizes. Hope this helped. ❤

Thanks, I am going to get some more boulders stone for drilling and will do a much better job explaining the process. It wasn’t hard at all to drill them

Without telling us what drill you used, we can't really use this knowledge.

Do you mind me asking what kind of drill and drill bit that was I'm going to do this this upcoming week and I thought I could use a hammer drill with a carbide tip

Buddy I sure wish I knew, I’ve been asked this a couple of times. I had no idea this video would’ve gotten so much attention. Ethan, the guy drilling, just rented the tools from United rental for the project. Sorry I can’t be more help!

You didn't identify the type of tool you're using ? where do you rent one ? Where do you buy one ? What's it called ? What kind of bits are there ? How deep of a hole can you drill.....????????

Hilti makes core drills and bits. They used to rent them out at Home Depot. Not sure if they still do. Water feed line isn’t a must but makes it easier than poring on water during process.

I’m guessing this is sandstone. If not who makes the bit ?

    • @grassrootsgardening

It wasn’t sandstone and I’m sorry I don’t know who makes the bit. We rented it

This is hilarious, everyone is asking information about the drill and the creator refuses to do the leg work to provide the information. Must be a store employee, "I dont know i just work here."

Your mother called. She asked you to please wear eye protection next time you core a boulder...
