    Where it went sideways: outdoor electric, "my tubing cutter" lol. Burying the bucket, so you don't ever want to clean that bucket out? Ah well. Did like the copper tube. This can be adapted to a solar application.

      Yes. Shouldn't it be cleaned out regularly to avoid the problem of birds drinking the bacteria?

      you don't have to bury a bucket. buy a decorative container. clean away.. i agree

    I have built this type of water feature but I wonder how you keep the water clean? I've seen so many videos of this type of water feature and no one tells you what happens next. How do you clean the water? I've had to dissemble it to clean out so many times I decided just to disassemble and stop using. I've tried to make it with the lip of the bucket above ground level but it sill gets dirt. I live in Florida near the coast where the soil is all sand, no clay at all. I've even tried an above ground system, still too much a mess that the pump gets blocked quickly and I need to open the top every other week or so. Any advice?
