WOW what a great place, it looks idyllic, everything you could possibly want, well thought out, the owners have literally thought of everything, great imagination on there part, loved watching this video, thank you for sharing guys ❤️👍
Thanks Dave and Helen for the review, thanks to you we have just booked for 4 nights. Also down to you is our love of Clippesby Hall, so keep up the good work 👍👍
We spotted Rich, Su and Jimbob too at 14:15! We already follow them and were looking out for them! Hope you had a good stay. We’re counting down the days to our first (late this year) trip at the end of March. Tristan & Katie
Hi Tristan & Katie, did you see Jimbob singing at the end? Lovely family and we had a great stay with them. Hope you have a great trip away. ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Dave & Helen We went there end of last year. Fantastic site. We were welcomed by the lovely staff, gave us a great position at the back of the site, over looking the valley, where the cows were. Met some lovely people there. Used the spa, had the steak. 5 star. Hopefully going back this year. Can’t say how good this site is. Forgot to say fresh veg. Shop brilliant
Superb vlog. Really shows the site and facilities so well. It was great to meet you both and thanks for recommending us to your viewers 😊 Safe onward travels and hopefully catch up again soon 🫶
Hi Rich, Ju and Jimbob, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, lots of highlights and meeting up with you guys was definitely one of them. Hope to catch up again, ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
Great site review both and as always you both do a great job at it. That’s a site on the to do list. Thanks Tris and Nikki. Oh dibber is the gardening implement 😀😀
Hi Tris & Nikki, hope you’re both well. It’s up there as one of the top sites we’ve been too and the staff are all excellent. Dibber it is 👍 Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi guys great vlog that place looks amazing, its something a bit different. That food looked great never seen steak cooked that way before, we dont go out much lol. Enjoy the rest of your break. Hope Helens doing ok xx
Hi Julie, thanks so much, it was great to go somewhere different and the food was every bit as good as it looked. Helen is doing ok, thanks to a couple of steroid injections in her shoulders. Take care, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Martin & Angela, they really have got it together here and w wish we had stayed a little longer. Hope you're well and thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Hello, we’re sorry to hear you’ve lossed your husband but it sounds like you’re still Caravanning? We’re in the Poole area at the moment having just done the Isle of Wight. Take care and thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Great video, thank you. I have with me here in Bavaria a very special dibber. Used to belong to my uncle Horace (good Norfolk christian name) Ruddock who lived at the Grange in Ormesby St Margaret until he died 1957. The dibber has his initials burnt into the handle. My Mum went from Germany to work as an au pair to the family in 1952. My father working for BP in Trinidad had leave (every 2 yrs) in 1953, stayed with his sister, married my Mum at Gt Yarmouth, honeymoon at Blakeney & returned to Trinidad all within 6 weeks! Maybe when/if manage trip to Norfolk, will return it to the Grange if house still exists!
How interesting, I used to work at The Grange in my teens and we still frequent the place, it’s only a mile from home. Thanks for sharing. Helen & Dave
@HelenandDave I watched the video some time ago. Had no idea it was 'The Grange'! Will have to get the dibber to you, perhaps you can get a free plate of chips! I'll have to have a look if I have some old photos. Have one of my Dad sitting in RAF biplane fighter ca 1917 when family farmed around Bacton incl. the temporary airfield.
Hi Ian, thanks a lot, glad you liked it. We really enjoyed our stay here and wish we had stayed a bit longer. I'm sure we will be back. ATB, Helen & Dave
We have lovely memories of being there. We went to what was going to be a caravan rally organised by Keith & Michele but due to covid it had to be cancelled. But…..everyone kept their booking so we had a socially distanced meet up that was fantastic. The owners were so accommodating at this difficult time. I’d like to go back and try the new spa. They did the renovation of the cafe in lockdown so we could only eat outside, so would also like to try those cooking stones. Thanks “Dibber” ?? And Helen for another great video. ~ Lin xx
Hi Lin, hope you're keeping well. We saw that Keith & Michelle had also visited here. Such a shame it had to be cancelled. Great place and the team there could not do enough for us. They have done a great job with the cafe and just finished an extension before we arrived. Yes, Dibber is my nickname. Best wishes to you both. Helen & Dave
Great vlog Dave and the site at bulwick in to far from us but we never new it was there. We will be visiting Certainly impressed with the spa. And facilities. 👍👍👍
We've stayed at this site before and can totally agree with you that it's a wonderful friendly site and will defiantly be returning some time this year. The spa is incredible and a definite must do.
Hi Helen and Dave good to see you out on the road and what a great site looks like it has all you would ever want and is immaculately maintained Love that area around Stamford it's so pretty my brother used to live in Leicestershire so we went often to Stamford Rutland water and that area must go back again sometime All the best to you both Daniel
Hi Daniel, it really is a great site, so much going for it. We loved Stamford it’s a beautiful town with many fine buildings and places to eat, drink and stay. Thanks as always for watching. Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi Dave and Helen. As always another enjoyable video thank you. Another great site we feel you should try is the camping and caravanning club site at St Neots Cambridgeshire. Site is on the river with lovely walks for Bella and the market town is well within walking distance. Keep up the good work you do in entertaining us all. Jez and Debbie x
Thanks Jez & Debbie, it’s on our radar, we have had a number of recommendations for this one. Think we will visit in the summer months when we do go. Really appreciate your support, stay tuned and happy travels. Helen & Dave 👍👍
Reckon you and Ron would like this one, worth a look if you head that way. The food was great and a really goos shop on site too. See you soon, Helen & Dave
Fabulous video, yet again. Just loved the look at where you stayed...on the list now 😂 And we loved going to Stamford too, but it gets so busy. Looking forward to your next adventure 😊 xx
Hi Amanda/Martin, lovely site and well worth a stay. Stamford really was very quintessential English and we loved it but yes, busy. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Hi Guy's, Nice to see you back out and about, lovely looking site and area. Usual great vlog, nice to see Helen seems to be doing better 😊. PS Dave I have finally managed to get my Vuplex and nut covers through your shop 😉 Take care as always and enjoy. Paul and Joanne 👍 😊. Sorry for the late reply been away ourselves 😀
Hi Paul & Joanne, hope you have both had a lovely time away. Glad the Vuplex & Nut covers are with you. New Lodge Farm was a lovely stay for us, Helen loved the spa and the food there was just amazing. Thanks as always, next video will be out tomorrow at 4:30pm. Tea & Caravantastic lol. Take care, Helen & Dave
Brilliant! Thank you sooooo much for this one, Dave n Helen. We're staying at New Lodge next month, giving Holly (oh, don't tell me you haven't named your caravan) her shortest trip yet, travelling a dizzy distance of about 3 miles! But whether its 3 miles or 300 miles, it's the getting away and waking up to beautiful scenery and staggering views we enjoy the most.
Ditto! You don't need to travel far to enjoy all the trappings! If we lived three miles away we would be there all of the time. Hope you have a great stay and take your swimming gear. ATB, Helen & Dave
Woodhall Country Park is a site we like. Spacious pitches, clean facilities (though we use our onboard shower/toilet). Easy walks through woods into village which has quirky shops, excellent butchers and deli. Dog friendly pubs. Close to Lincoln and for Dave RAF Coningsby. Added attraction during summer is a lancaster flypast lots of days if not most!
Hello Clive, we have had a few recommendations for this site and we've checked out their website and must agree it looks right up our street. We have visited Woodhall Spa on numerous occasions and enjoyed lunch at The Petwood Hotel. We will certainly put this one on the list as we often go to Conningsby. Thanks again, much appreciated. Helen & Dave
Thanks Dave and Helen, we love your Vlogs and go to sites you recommend. We live in Kings Lynn and tbh I don't like towing too far, and this one is ideal and we have just made 2 bookings. One will be with our daughter who lives in Holmfirth, so nice and easy for her. I struggle to find suitable or different sites (not club members) so your Vlogs are invaluable....thanks!
Cheers Chris and thanks for watching the vids. We weren’t disappointed. It was certainly worth the drive from Caister On Sea. Hope you have a good trip too. Best wishes Helen and Dave 👍
Hello Dave and Helen. The coffee shop looked amazing and the shop well stocked. Nice to have a look in the glamping pods. Lovely site and facilities. Stamford looks a nice town to look around. Thank you for showing us around x Julie and Tony x
Thanks for the great video. We’re waiting to pick up our first ever caravan and will make a note to try that site out as we live in Stamford. Yes, Stamford is always busy with traffic as the ancient roads weren’t made for so many cars. We walk everywhere locally when the fair is here as it’s so difficult to park. It’s a lovely town though. Love watching your videos and look forward to trying many sites out very soon.
Hi Andrea, thanks so much for your comment. We absolutely loved Stamford, very beautiful, not surprised to learn that it’s always busy but that must be a drag at times. The site was a great little find and has a lot going for it. Thanks for watching the vids. Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍
We have been here many times as a stop off from A14 or A1 and never been disappointed 😃 It’s definitely a campsite to go back to. That was a Caravantastic Vlog and very enjoyable 😃👍🏻🚐💙 Trev n Sue x
Hi Trev & Sue, thanks so much. Great place, could have stayed longer for sure but wouldn't hesitate to return and like you say, a great little stop off being so close to the A1. See you soon, Helen & Dave
Wow - looks amazing. Have been wanting to try this one for a while. Will definitely be booking now. Great vlog Dave and Helen. Xx Ps. Gardening tool - Dibber.
Love your vlogs as we are fom Norfolk too and love camping. Coincidentally have followed the new campsite wardens at New Lodge since they moved into their motorhome last year. Looks a fantastic site 👍
Hi Rae, thank you very much, we appreciate your support. Great site, worth a visit and they take tents too. Rich, Ju & JimBob are lovely people, great to meet them. Thanks, Helen & Dave
Glad you enjoyed New Lodge farm. It was the first site we stayed at when we started caravanning. We are staying in Louth currently but off to Thornton le Dale tomorrow so I will let you know if I would recommend the site for one of your future trips. Enjoy your touring all the best Trev and Sue.
Thanks for the recommendation Trev, it was everything you had described and more! Yes, please let us know how you get on with your current trip. Thanks again, Helen & Dave
Hi Stephen, yes a Dibber it is. We have been recommended to visit some sites on the coast up your way, we've stayed at Durham Grange and Richmond before but not on the coast. ATB, Helen & Dave
Hi Steve, thanks for watching, it really is a fab place and well worth a visit. Stamford was great and there are plenty of other places to visit nearby too. ATB, Helen & Dave
Yeah! but for how long lol. Great place New Lodge Farm, plenty of gin to choose from and worth a visit if you're down that way. Take care and get packing, it must be time for another trip. Helen & Dave
Fantastic video and what a great place. I'd never heard of it and we are less than 40 mins away (other side of Market Harborough). We are certainly going to try it for ourselves. I'm a big Elvis fan too and Jamie kncked it out of the park, he should have been around in 1954 recording at Sun Studios in Memphis :) Love that wee van idea for motorhomers (spit) :D That food looked right up my street too mmmmm. Yes Stamford is always busy Mr Dibber :)
Mr Dibber it is lol! Fab site and we would have no hesitation in returning. Jamie's a good lad and enjoys a smile and he has no inhibitions. Quite happy to sing for us (with his parents permission). He even has a fully sequinned Elvis suit in white. Stamford was very busy but well worth a visit, we liked it. Thanks as always and hope you're well. Helen & Dave
@@HepcatHarley Sadly, no ha ha. When I was learning to talk apparently I could not say David, I used to say Dibber. Obviously I have no recollection of this. Your interpretation would be a much better story to tell. 😄
I see it from your blog. You use a front cover, would you recommend using a front travelling cover. We have a new van and we're able to put up an awning, but that's our limits. Enjoy your articles.
Hello Howell, I would recommend a towing cover, but we had a cheap one first time around and it actually damaged the caravan. They serve to keep the front of the caravan clean when towing in wet weather but really I wanted one that would protect from any stone chips to the body and especially the windows which is why a custom fit cover is worth the investment. www.specialisedcovers.com/towing-covers/tailored-towing-covers Thanks, Helen & Dave
Hi. Really loving your videos. We've recently bought our first campervan and follow your channel for inspiration. I'm really interested to know how you create the map route in your videos? I always put videos / montages together of our trips (not for public display i might add) but would like to start them with a route similar to your videos. I hope you can help. Kind regards
It's called New Lodge Farm, the website address is in the description, you would need to drop a message to clarify but there were plenty of dogs around. Cheers, Helen & Dave
@@HelenandDave we loved Concierge too,but feel its become too expensive and too exclusive now,so it has dropped off our radar..ill look into poppylands though thanks H$D
We only ever feed our cat when she asks and then it’s only an oxo cube portion of meat….and she gets no snacks from the table rigid..her weight and teeth are ok..
Oh, the river Nene is pronounced 'Nen' as us Northants folk say. It's them others across the A1 that say 'Neeeeen.' This argument has been going on for centuries. Wars have started for less!
Never knew that. I used to play golf and the river ran through the course in Peterborough on the Neen side, which is what I have always known it as. We learn stuff everyday from our viewers and subscribers. Thanks for that. ATB, Helen & Dave
Lots of pluses, but big negative. Not sure on the road noise, looks and sounds close! it's the difference for some, wouldn't want to take chance on it.
Hi Margaret, We could hear the road but honestly it wasn't annoying, you had to listen for it to hear it but we do understand how some people wouldn't like it. It certainly wouldn't put us off going again. We are on a site now that is completely in the sticks and all you can hear is birds, ducks and geese (and the rain on the roof!!). Thanks for watching. ATB, Helen & Dave
You can get cheaper bacon rolls but we’re not in a lay-by on the A47 here. Lovely comfortable warm surroundings, flat screen TV, great staff etc. on the contrary, we didn’t walk away, we went back every day, the food was excellent 👍
Hi just subscribed to your channel while sitting in my caravan in Newquay on a lovely site as other half is snoring watching a film 💤🤔
Thanks for subscribing. Hope you enjoyed the movie through the noise 😊👍. Love Cornwall and hoping to get there soon in our caravan too 👍
Hi Dave and Helen lovely to see you busy again, great vlog!!!👍👋

Thanks Dan & Sandra, Glebe farm not ringing any bells. Do you know where it is? Thanks again, Helen & Dave
Looks like one to try every thing looked spot on thank you for sharing
You’re welcome Sheila, it's a wonderful site, Thanks Helen & Dave 😊
Dibber sounds about right...I love the site. Many thanks for the views and comments.
Our pleasure Mark, thanks very much for watching, we appreciate your support. Dibber it is. Cheers, Helen & Dave
Xx
Ps.
Im from Durham in the NE and its called a dibber great video and one for the list to visit thanks
Hi Stephen, yes a Dibber it is. We have been recommended to visit some sites on the coast up your way, we've stayed at Durham Grange and Richmond before but not on the coast. ATB, Helen & Dave
@@HelenandDave just been to Durham Grange myself first time in the new van lol.
As always very informative, fantastic site we are already looking to book.👍👍
Hi Steve, thanks for watching, it really is a fab place and well worth a visit. Stamford was great and there are plenty of other places to visit nearby too. ATB, Helen & Dave
Looks a nice site the farm shop looks fab especially the flavours of Gin. Few treats for me from Keith.😂. Takecare. We're actually at home😢. Xx
Yeah! but for how long lol.
@@HelenandDave was it your reputation with the ladies that earned you that nickname? lol
@@HepcatHarley Sadly, no ha ha. When I was learning to talk apparently I could not say David, I used to say Dibber. Obviously I have no recollection of this. Your interpretation would be a much better story to tell. 😄
That looks like a great site
Hi Ross, thanks for watching, it really was worth a trip there. The staff were amazing. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
I see it from
your blog.
Never mind the dibber that cheese board looks amazing
Hi Dave & Sara, the food was just great, no complaints...yes, it's a Dibber lol. I made a hole in that cheeseboard too. ATB, Helen & Dave
That’ll do for us! Where do we book? Great video, Dashcam looks good quality. Thanks for sharing 👍
Hi Chris & Steve, web address is in the description and also the link to the dash cam. Hope you're both well. Cheers, Helen & Dave
It’s a dibber xx
Hi Jackie, you got it in one 👍 Thanks, Helen & Dave
The pod is like sleeping in the channel tunnel..
Ha Ha, they were really well equipped.
Can you do dower house again as it has been taken over by new owners and has been done up completely for the summer.
Hi Michaela, not sure when we can get there but it’s not too far from us so watch this space. Thanks, Helen. & Dave 👍
Did you find the Adnams outlet shop in Stamford?
Hi Richard, yes we did but the fridge was stocked in the caravan so didn't call in on this occasion lol. Loved Stamford. Cheers, Helen & Dave
I wish that rear view Cam was on the back of the Cara…
Actually, so do we. Think we might have to look at one of those for the future. Cheers, Helen & Dave
So you share the same nickname as my husband uncle David ( Dibber ) and his son is "little Dibber "
I’ve never heard of anyone else called Dibber, now I don’t feel alone 😂😂 Thanks for watching. ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
I call it a dibber Hope Dave is looking after you Helen and you’re not doing anything you should be .have a good break
Hi Graham, a Dibber it is! Fear not, Helen is being waited on hand & foot, just like she always is lol. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Hi Karl, thanks for watching the channel, we appreciate it. The map is from an app called Travel Boast. ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
@@HelenandDave that's great thanks a lot
Are you allocated a spot or is it a case of first come first served?
No you pick your own pitch on arrival 👍
Whats the name of this joint ? Do they take a cat in the shepherd’s hut ?
It's called New Lodge Farm, the website address is in the description, you would need to drop a message to clarify but there were plenty of dogs around. Cheers, Helen & Dave
Gday Dibber 😂
Ha Ha, you got it Sandra! All of my close friends and family call me Dibber! I'll let you too. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave
Xena looks a treasure..
She's lovely, very helpful and a good laugh.
@@HelenandDave i think this is the best site you’ve shownt us Dave…which was your perceived best before New Lodge Farm ?
@@griswald7156 Local to us we love Poppylands in Norfolk but we would say Concierge Camping is the best we have visited, near Chichester.
@@HelenandDave we loved Concierge too,but feel its become too expensive and too exclusive now,so it has dropped off our radar..ill look into poppylands though thanks H$D
Dibber 😂
Yes! You got it Susan 😂
Young Dibber 😂
In one, you got it 👍
We only ever feed our cat when she asks and then it’s only an oxo cube portion of meat….and she gets no snacks from the table rigid..her weight and teeth are ok..
If we fed Bella every time she asked, she would be bigger than Dave lol.
Dibber ??
In one Dave lol. Cheers, Helen & Dave
🙂
£4.50 for a bacon sandwich I'd have walked away.
You can get cheaper bacon rolls but we’re not in a lay-by on the A47 here. Lovely comfortable warm surroundings, flat screen TV, great staff etc. on the contrary, we didn’t walk away, we went back every day, the food was excellent 👍
