    Good review as always... For $15 more I would rather have the Thorogood 814-4600 6" boot... It is made in the US by union workers, looks better, and has a better insole... For it being foreign made I would think the Duluth boot would be at least $50 cheaper...

    They are comfortable. They are very warm. I use them with 2 pair of socks and get me through most of the winter while working outside. Not sure how long they will last though. One year in the are holding up pretty well. But I can’t wear them when it’s more than about 55 degrees or lower than 10 to 15.

    Nice job on putting together this review of the Wedgestone Boot with a lot of useful, helpful information. I agree with you on the aesthetics, yet it seems like its a solid, comfortable work boot. Very nice job on creating the video; everything from the live scenes to the still pictures are integrated into the video in a very cohesive manner. Keep up the good work...Ed

    Duluth makes a soft moc toe version of these but the lame black outer heel cup is still there. It’s out of stock/coming soon.

    I ordered these boots and they do seem well built but the sole does not flex and this hurt my knees and hips after a few days. And now they charge $8 to return them.

    First off I think it's a good looking boot. Second I believe it's a boot for only two types of people in my humble opinion. I believe it's for people that just want a boot for casual wear and not for work but just having a boot that looks good when you're out and about. second I think it's for people that are going to do some yard work and things around their home and it would be great for that. Finally, the way the soul pictures out behind the heel and front of the toe I believe if anyone used this as an actual real world work boot that would start to peel away over time. For those reasons I don't think it's a real world work boot but it has its purpose.

      I disagree. I have timberland Gridworks which not only look very similar but are built similar. And these have genuine vibram soles unlike the Gridworks. I do construction and my Gridworks are just now starting to wear down bad after 14months. I'm sure these will stand up just as good if not better than the timberlands.

    Any idea on where to find that exact sole replacement? I called Duluth and they couldn't even give me an answer.

    • @TheBootGuyreviews
      @TheBootGuyreviews  4 роки тому

      currently I don't think you're going to find an exact replacement You might just have to replace it with a regular vibram crepe sole.

      What would you suggest? This was recorded with a rode shotgun. Sonically it's fine. But the room I'm working is has four hard walls. So what I think would be better is sound tiles added to the space.
