I get several years out of each pair wearing them everyday all day long. The only bad thing is they are hard to break in and quite uncomfortable until they do. Feet will hurt for a couple weeks before they begin to fit like a old pair of jeans. It’s worth the wait though 👍🏼

I'm seeing a lot of complaints about Red Wings being built in China. It is unfortunate that it is happening, but no one is willing to pay a minimal of $200 on a pair of boots. I work in a store and have a hard enough time with some people being willing to pay over a $100 on a pair of boots. Don't complain about Red Wing, complain about all the Wal Mart shoppers who just want cheap crap.
Many of us will pay the extra money for US made stuff my redwings are over ten years old and they are great boots. But since they decided to sell out to china i will go somewhere else when its time for another pair. I dont care if some are still made in the US the fact that some are made in china is enough to look elsewhere maybe Whites or Wesco even more expensive but you get what you pay for when its US made. People that want a true workboot wont go to walmart and get chinese made garbage. Those things need to be replaced every few months.
Just bought another pair of made in the USA workboots yesterday. 350$ Canadian. I think these are the 5th pair in over 20 years. Last pair is about 4 years old and still in very good condition and will retire them to my home and garage. I get a boot allowance from work so needed to use that up. My first pair I bought in Calgary, Alberta after seeing the surgeon & doctor about removing a squished disc in my back.I was nearly off of painkillers from a year of siactic pain. In three months I was off of the painkillers. ( not good for you ) I did take Lakota pills with the painkillers as the doctor said it wouldn,t hurt me. Lakota is an old native recipe of natural stuff. I don,t have any pain or trouble with my back anymore but do pay attention to any heavy lifting. They make equipment for that, loaders forklifts whatever. Only Red-Wings from USA for me thanks.

I had my old redwings for 11 years till I tossed them. they were my brother's for 5 years before he sold them to me. I had no idea about the redwings reputation, so I used them as a framer, longshoreman and other warehouse jobs. for a year I worked in a dish room, lots of water on the floor. they were comfortable to wear so I wore them day in and day out. they never leaked and my feet never froze. walking in snow on my framer job or wet dish room floors. not to mention the time someone dropped a heavy pallet on my foot. they never quit and I probably could have had the boot resoled. but I did not know that could be done. Not sure about yall, but at my local Redwing store more than 70% of the products are not American made. My 1412's are. LOOK AT THE GUSSET TAG BEFORE DECIDING
I wore Red Wing boots for many years. My favorite was the mock toe lace up. Very comfortable boot and lasting. Not long before I retired, they stopped making the Mock toe lace up. Not sure why. I purchased the over $200 slip on. One sorry boot. Not long after wearing them, they stretched out so bad they were not safe to wear. Retired now, I won't wear boots anymore.
@M M I wore those boots for a long time. No other boot made could wear that good. I ask the dealer why they stopped and she told me she could not understand it either. The company did not give her an answer. She said it was her best seller. Whenever you bought boots from her, she would remind you that in the rear of the store was a cleaning station and mink oil to keep the boots in good shape Not many stores will do that for their customer.
I'm 100% addictive to red wing all styles, im only take'em off for sleeping at night and play my sports, other than that ALWAYS ON Y FEET, also UNION MADE ;-)
I have a pair of Romeos that I bought from Montgomery Wards made in USA all leather even the soles you will never find them made like that anymore I got them in 1980 and still have them there like a shoe slipper that older folks used to wear.
@@matttherrien9608 I been wearing Thragood boots and they are holding up. I never owned red wing boots so I can't say. I just know everyone wears them and talk about them. I’ve been wearing the 1412 style for as long as I can remember. The quality and technology has only gotten better over the years. I just bought a new pair today because…well…just because. When I started wearing Red Wings they were boots intended for people who needed well-made, long-lasting, made-in-the-USA WORK boots. They served that purpose then and they serve that purpose now. How they have become some sort of a fashion statement for people who have no real use for what they are intended for bewilders me. I have seen many (and more every day) people who have never even experienced a callus on their hand or mud on their boots wearing them, and I just don’t get it. I don’t wear them to be fashionable. I wear them because they are the best work boots and they are made in the USA.

But i do bought other brands from Decathlon, Under armor, New balance, Asics and so on. As long its comfy and within my budget.
My Redwings lasted about a year and then the sole parted where they are laminated, I could have them repaired by a local shop or send them back to the factory either way cost was about $100, new shoes were a little over that so I passed.
I have a pair of Made in China Red Wind Moc toe boots and I love them! Incredible fit I must say I have the same boot in thoroughgood an I find that they are a tiny bit more comfortable
I own a pair of Red Wing 3506. This is my first job where I am required to wear boots. They have water proof leather, composite toe and puncture resistant with non metal shank...also a composite. Not sure about yall, but at my local Redwing store more than 70% of the products are not American made. My 1412's are. LOOK AT THE GUSSET TAG BEFORE DECIDING
Unfortunately there not anymore ,but I should research this . I have a pair that I've had since 2001
FlameCranium Just bought a pair today. Says American made. Probably the nicest shoes I’ve ever had 👍🏽
China crap
I'll never own a pair of Red Wing boots again. I haven't in years, just came across this video.
Unfavourable experience?
I hope Red Wing brings those back to America,I love every thing make in America
Just Love Redwing Shoes.. Durable, Fits Well, Last's Long..!
i wish i had one of those shoes ! LOOK SWEET !
I'm 100% addictive to red wing all styles, im only take'em off for sleeping at night and play my sports, other than that ALWAYS ON Y FEET, also UNION MADE ;-)
Iron ranger.. Fits like a glove baby!!!
Once you've got your correct size you'll be hooked!
Big LIKE.
I hope Red Wing brings those jobs back to America.
E Vorstang Liar
Red Wing does make some stuff in China - be aware. It sells for cheaper price but is not worth buying.
E Vorstang Some red wing products are made in china you fucking idiot.
Fucking shit, this is horrible. I've never seen $300 Chinese Red Wings. The same thing is happening with DrMartens - make sure you buy English made.
I've had a China made pair of Red wings for over 10 years...still lasting the winters here in Maine
Great boots.
Bought in USA... worn in UK.
Red Wings is an ICON
I always wear them. Is pure quality trust me .
Outstanding product that I have worn for years.
RTZ except 90% of their products are now made in China with the same high price
@@zack9912000 wrong.
@@scottg5125 check your facts majority of their boots are made in China
@@zack9912000 you didn't watch the video did you.
Where did you get 90% from? Chinese produced footware are all cheaper. Not the same price at all.
Red Wing quality is no. 1 in the world
Best Boots i Ever owned Thanks !!
I have a pair of Romeos that I bought from Montgomery Wards made in USA all leather even the soles you will never find them made like that anymore I got them in 1980 and still have them there like a shoe slipper that older folks used to wear.
They are still number one boot that everyone talks about, but other boot companies make good boots to
Do you believe Red Wings are the best pound for pound?
@@matttherrien9608 I been wearing Thragood boots and they are holding up. I never owned red wing boots so I can't say. I just know everyone wears them and talk about them. Red Wing's don't make my size 5-1/2 there are many other boots that make my size it depends on how person is wearing them and what industry's they work for some might wear faster than other's.
I bought a pair on my 33rd birthday i believe it was im 53 this year the rubber bottoms finnaly gave out the rubber souls or watever the yelllowish colored rubber stuff is oon the soles finaly dry rotted the leather still looks great except a nick or 2 from my broken gas pedal in my old trjuck wish i could get em resoled ,probly lasy another 30 yrs if i could or till they dry rot lol,i keep the leathet. Polished and cleaned ever so often in hopes to get em fixed ,really are the most durable boot ive ever owned my brother drove over the rd and in a scrap yard inhhis for probly even longer his look a bit rougher but just as dry and his black soles out lasted mine
what a marvelous video, loved it!

Lmfao creepy old lady
Thats pretty funny . I didn't even see the calendar . Was looking at what she was doing .
Butts uh huh huh
Funny that they zoomed in and still didn't catch it in editing.
Made in America 😂
Dude just because you don’t swing a hammer doesn’t mean you can’t wear boots lol….Tell me your toxically masculine without tell me you are the toxically masculine 😂😂
@@Poopyturdsmcgee why does every woke idiot have to chime in on every dam subject , on every dam youtube video. Just gotta sling mud I guess it sustaines them
I mean they did make a line specifically for the fashion market. It was the company’s idea. Durable shoes are universally appealing.
The 1412s are BEASTS! Those are proper work boots. My Iron Rangers are not great work boots, lol. I leave that to my Drew's and Nick's...but now you have me interested in RW work boots, too....
Please make Red Wing boots and shoes popular in Minnesota like a part of Minnesota culture!

Caterpillar, Redwing, Timberland, Doc marten and King safety shoe are the shoes i have been wearing them since late 80s, early 90s and til now. My favourite brand for work mostly. But i do bought other brands from Decathlon, Under armor, New balance, Asics and so on. As long its comfy and within my budget.
Beautiful
Red wing my favourite shoe🤝🏻
My Redwings lasted about a year and then the sole parted where they are laminated, I could have them repaired by a local shop or send them back to the factory either way cost was about $100, new shoes were a little over that so I passed.
Thanks you are great
You get what you pay for. These are quality
This is a great vid. Thanks RW!
I'm a Georgia and Carolina boot guy, never owned Red Wings.
chapiit08 well thanks for that info.

I am from Phillippines, Red wing shoes good quality
Always liked Red Wing bots, last pair I bought were crap and fell apart and I haven't bought Red Wing boots since.
Had a pair last 8 month's. I am hard on shoes but 8 months is ridiculous. This was approx. 10-12 years ago.I used to buy mostly Red Wings. Not anymore.
Gone to China - pure crap!
I still have a pair I bought in 1985 and use for yard work, hunting and fishing. They are still going strong.
It the sole stitching that gives out
I have a pair of Made in China Red Wind Moc toe boots and I love them! Incredible fit I must say I have the same boot in thoroughgood an I find that they are a tiny bit more comfortable
Best damn boots I have ever wore.. on my lifetime 7th pair.
watching this while wearing my iron ranger 8111
Gary Gavina me also I own two iron rangers 8119
I wear Harley Davidsons work boots but I think my next will be red wings
watching while wearing my Iron ranger rugged and tough Coppertone ... hailing from the Far East ...
Better have a B width foot or ypu are out of luck.
This are the best work shoes 👞 Red wing shoes
Heritage boots all day long. Classic work chelsea, to chukka, to even the newer stitch out weekender for a sneaker like feel.
Red wings are very very safety for me. Hi quality and really safety shoes
I own a pair of Red Wing 3506. This is my first job where I am required to wear boots. They have water proof leather, composite toe and puncture resistant with non metal shank...also a composite. Electric hazard also. They are a made in China type and they are not bad. Sure they are my first pair, I have yet to own an all American made boot. I would not say Chinese Red Wings are absolute waste of money....
I've had a pair of China made loggers for 10 years
Uncle Pete you look good.Love you
I reall have good luck with my Redwing steel toed boots. I've had other brands and they wear out faster. The quality is definetely worth the price.
The best brend on work boots
The best damn footwear in the world. Period.
allfasten best boots in the world are my half cut oxblood doctor martins 17 years of daily wear
