- I've known this vixen for a year and once she got kits I started bringing her food because the dad wasn't around to help her (probably got killed as foxes pairs normally keep together till the kits are mature). In this footage - she waits for me to follow her to the den probably to save her from going back and forth to bring the food over.

I seriously think that's what has happened. Since she's obviously leading you to her den and kits, and has done this repeatedly, she not only trusts you a ton but she is asking you to care for her children.

Can't tell from this video. Normally, I'd agree with you, but if the fox didn't want a human following her back to her den, she wouldn't have gone towards her den. She would have led them away.
Indeed. Foxes are known to lead predators away from their den. If she didn't want him to see her den... she'd have done that. She led him to her den, not away from it.
A fox can run at over 30mph, if it didn't want a human to know where it was headed, it would simply step on the gas and be gone.

I trust you, so I'll show you my kits" that was very kind of you to give her food because if being a single mother is really hard on just humans, it can't even compare to wild animals! any wild animal intentionally leading you to there kids and being totally cool with you watching over them is quite possibly one of the greatest honors one can receive its trust so strong that it bridges the gap between species i really hope you made the most of this and still visit your fox friend assuming she still lives there.

I'm a landscape painter sometimes, I was amazed at the beautiful colors, not details but the over all tones, blues and browns, ochers, green and the splashes of yellow of the flowers, so dazzled I missed all the garbage laying around. If I had noticed the garbage I would have figured it as washed up.

It's close to the city.. But also the foxes, especially the kits, as they grew older, liked to collect things and either play with them or bury them.

My wife and I had a female skunk that spent three Winters under the tack room at our barn. We bought a metal dog food bowl and fed her every morning after feeding the horses. She would watch and wait her turn patiently. And we never got sprayed. Sadly she has not returned. But it is very special when you can help but at the same time allow them to be wild.

Yes, you are right. It's an area that is not supposed to be approached by people because the sandy cliff regularly collapses into the sea. This allows the foxes to live there despite the closeness to the city. However, children and just people who have no concern for nature would go there from time to time, and the trash is never removed by any authority.
