Whats weird is i had this happen to me a couple times back on my first play through! Id be backed in a corner, fire it and hold me weapon wheel to pause time and think/change weapons. I never realized why/what was happening until now. This is amazing. Thank you for the video!
@@RacingSnails64 talked to a dev, it’s likely this happens because the dblade chargeup timer doesn’t end for a little bit even after you shoot the initial dblade. This means that if you can find a way to shoot dblade or arba without pressing fire, you could theoretically trigger dblade to fire twice, or if a potential new method is found, many many many more times.

Hey, so I’m trying to do this and I can’t get it to work. I’m on pc, I charge up the blade, shoot, open weapon wheel, press f to switch mods, equip the mod, and nothing happens. Any ideas?
@@austin.valentine This tech is quite different from dksms. Instead of negating the chargeup time(we can’t do that in eternal yet), we’re simply utilizing the charge timer twice before it completey dissipates.
@@MuteD6 Yeah, I know they aren’t the exactly the same, but I only say that because dkms was viewed as a notable game breaking thing, and they were trying to be careful about those types of exploits for this weapon. Even though in this case you still have to charge the first shot, you are still getting a second shot with no charge, so it is similar to dksms in that sense, and in the sense that it can trivialize many encounters that are supposed to be challenging. You only need 1 ice bomb to get 2 necessary DB shots in a congested area rather than having to engage some other way during ice bomb cool down to get another DB charge.
@@austin.valentine understandable. I talked directly with a dev at QuakeCon during our speedrun showcase there, he was responsible for the slayers hands and was a very cool guy. On the topic of double dblade, what he told me was that the reason it works isn’t because you get a shot of for nothing although that would be cool, it’s because the charge for dblade does not fully reset to 0 even after you fire the initial shot, so swapping the mods in a certain way triggers the shots again. Yes, this means that potentially if we can find an alternate method to triggering the shots without the need to swap weapons (i.e only using inputs or something) you could feasibly just keep spamming dblade until the timer runs out, shit is crazy.

@@MShazarul It's what you set it as. If you have it as 160, it'll be 160. Default is 180
